This place looked beautiful so we bought tickets to see a ballet here on our trip to Bologna. However, when we arrived 15 minutes early, there were a few other confused people like us wondering why the doors were still locked. After walking the perimeter, we finally found a small sign (on folded A4) advising that the venue had changed… to another place that was at least 30 minutes away, *if you knew where you were going. I’m sure this place would be amazing if I actually got to see it. Instead the place took €50 of my money, switched the venue and I stood in the rain trying not to let this experience ruin my trip.

You cannot view the theater or have a tour at this time because of Covid. This is not stated on the website. This information needs to be published somewhere so that people don’t waste their time walking down to see something that is not viewable. We wasted about an hour of our day. 😒

Beautiful theatre. However: Outside the temperature was 5 degrees but inside 50. Celsius. And no airflow. Horrible. Especially in times of COVID. Rather shameful actually, as we are all being told to ventilate, ventilate, ventilate. It made it difficult to enjoy the performance.

Wonderful historical building with awesome plays scheduled throughout the year.

I am fan of Assassins Creed game series. So, in Italia I always feel like i am Ezio :) and this place gives me the right mood for an AC gamer.

Lovely theatre. Acoustics good too! Great view from higher seats if facing front. Recommended for a musical evening in delightful Bologna.
