The 2000 meter ascent can be done from different points depending on how hard you want. In my case I climb from Ribes de Freser, it takes 3 hours but it is done in 2 hours. The walk is demanding 1000 positives and a hellish slope. Once up it is a bit disappointing compared to the peaks around you, you can see Puigmal, the coast of Cap de Creus, the Nuria valley... As there are climbs that you can do in 40 minutes, it is always crowded. The Taga is a mountain from the Ripollés. It is located in the Serra Conivella and is separated from the Serra Cavallera by the Portella de Ogassa. Although it is not a very high mountain, it dominates the Freser and Ter valleys and is a landmark of the region. It is also a splendid viewpoint of the peaks of the Pyrenees from Puigmal to Canigó. It is completely deforested and occupied by pasture meadows, such as the Sierra Cavallera.

We climbed the Taga from Pardines, it can be done with children if they are used to walking in the mountains. About 12km with 700m of positive gradient. A good viewpoint!

What a beautiful place to hike, less touristic and serene in September

Beautiful views from the top. If you come up from he parking in the bottom, the hike is gonna be a bit difficult since some sections are too steep. If you are coming from behind it, then it should be okay.

Absolutely stunning panoramic view. Because of the height of the peak, everything you can see is very surprising. An imposing white cross crowns the summit. The geodesic vertex is in poor condition. We went up from the Coll de Jou with children. A short distance but a lot of unevenness, even so chino-xano and taking breaks can be reached without problems.
