Far from the city historical center, but very close to the authentic Portuguese food. Amazing food and wine offer, with very friendly staff. I would put Palitão in the top 5 restaurants in the region.

WOW! I had one of the best meals in Portugal here. We ordered the house steak and was blown away with the flavor, the perfect level searing. The side dishes were all great too. The ladies that serve the food were polite, attentive and provided great service all around.

Traditional Portuguese food, but every single part of it was perfect. I really liked the way the brought round sides and offered as much as you wanted. Also a very nice atmosphere inside and extremely attentive staff. Highly recommended!

Delighted and impressed by the quality of the food on offer, here. My family is half Portuguese and we've moved around a bit, so we know the traditional dishes here but they were done with some style. We had prawns (gambas) in a lemon and piri piri sauce, the squid (lulas) and a starter of scrambled eggs mixed with smokey farinheira sausage. Everything was done to perfection and the prices were more than reasonable. Pleasant service and a well-appointed place too, a little outside of town but easily walkable. Hopefully we'll go back, one day.

Wonderful ambience, great food, nice employees. If booking for 2 people, ask not to be seated in the corner table, or they'll sit you in a table hidden behind a wall. Not giving 5 stars due to the amount of cilantro present in a lot of the side dishes. Really wish they would tone it down since it's not a popular flavor.

Fabulous lunch in September. The staff were exceptional so polite and welcoming. Food was really good would highly recommend a visit to this lovely restaurant.

Absolutely perfect. Thank you so much guys. My two sons ( 16 & 13 ) and I were looking for something authentic and correctly priced. We found it !! Fillet steak, Veal, many helpings of Rice & Beans, spicy tomatoes, Bread with Garlic and coriander, delicious scrambled eggs with meat, and all topped off with Creme Brulee. Including drinks, the cost a little over 50 Euros. Very helpful and friendly staff made this meal a pleasure. I would highly recommend Palitão. Simon, Sam and Jack. From England.

Had an entrecot steak as it is 1/2 the price of the UK and I wanted to try one! Brilliant food - really attentive staff - great atmosphere - casual but a bit of dress up is nice :) really love restaurant with top notch steaks.

I ate here 2x. The first was so good that we made another reservation. The second time was disappointing. Maybe by another cook, but the quality and preparation of the meat was a lot less. Too expensive for the quality and compared to other restaurants of that class.
