This may be a 3-star hotel, but the staff is 5-star plus! Everyone I encountered was pleasant, polite, and I believe, genuinely happy. From the ladies at the front desk to the man on his hands and knees everyday cleaning the pool, they're exceptional. The rooms are comfortable, well stocked, and the views are amazing. It's located close to city center with shops and restaurants within walking distance. Thank you all for making my stay so welcoming. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend The Anchorage to others. MsM

Very nice and extremely helpful staff. Everything you might need or wonder about they have a person for. Went whale watching, but unfortunately wasn't able to see any. However, the next day the captain of the boat saw us out and about at the botanical gardens and stopped to chat and give us a map to historic Rousseau walking tour. The restaurant can take some (island) time, so if you're in a rush be a little wary, otherwise it was also very good and there are multiple tasty breakfast options. The room I had was a "deluxe", 2 comfortable full size beds, a mini fridge and an electric kettle. Wifi was available and free. There was no microwave or drip type coffee maker. Showers were hot with good water pressure. On site dive center and good snorkeling available right off the shore, in addition to plenty of options to get taken further out or away. CHAMPAGNE REEF was very highly recommended to me, and is a short taxi away.

This is a beautiful and cozy place, a quiet setting which is very relaxing, and if you wish to be a bit more adventurous they have a dive center where you can get to do scuba diving; perfect for underwater exploration.

The property's location is excellent, access to property and other places of importance is easy. The staff is very cordial and very cooperative. Few things that need attention are availability of restaurants within the premises, though a very well known restaurant is just next door. Some, infra related issues also need attention. However, it's a good place to stay and given a choice I would prefer to stay with them again. All the best guys...

This place was, as many others, destroyed durring hurricane Maria in 2017 and didn't open again. At least this was the situation in January 2019 and the building doesn't look like opening soon again. Next door is dive dominica, this we can recommend and they also have rooms (which we don't have seen) and a very good restaurant.

Anchorage doesn't exist anymore after hurricane Maria. You can stay at and eat at oceans edge which is right next door. Great view. Fun cocktails. Okay food. We stayed nearby. Happy to hear that Anchorage is open again. . . hope to visit some day.

Went out whale watching with Anchorage on their 75 ft catamaran. Was a beautiful experience! The crew was friendly and tried hard to find us some sperm whales. After about 3 hours we finally spotted 3 and then later 1 more! Was a very relaxing and enjoying cruise

Great location and facilities, the staff is very friendly and the services are professional. The hotel is on the sea side and the rooms are very nice. Breakfast and dinner was extremely tasty. The pool is very good and clean close to the water. The wale watching experience was great and we saw one single and two families with 3 members. Dolphins gang swimming around the ship was great. The captain and the crew were very nice and Professional, they didn't give up until we found the wales. The kids on-board were very enthusiastic. Highly recommended this location.
