Rude and unprofessional, they don't want your business. *I should add that I had cut gemstones that certainly were not purchased overseas but rather came from jewelry where the precious metals were scrapped. I was not looking for an insurance estimate, just an idea of what I have. Initially, they did offer to appraise these stones, saying it would take several days, to which I said I didn't want them out of my sight. Any reputable jeweler would understand this, as unscrupulous dealers (like this one) often will swap better stones for lesser ones. I am not under the assumption that what I have is a fortune in gemstones, but they refused to even look at them, and my short unpleasant interaction with them is indicative of their general business practices. I went to a better jeweler not even a mile away that gave me an honest, friendly opinion in minutes.

I had my watch dropped off at this business to replace the battery. On the same day, the business admitted it broke the crown of my watch, and they stated they would fix this issue. A few days later, I spoke with a business representative and they stated they were unable to fix the watch. The representative also stated they would try to find another business that could complete the repair. Several days after that, I again spoke with a business representative who informed me that the watch could not be repaired, and the representative did not provide me with any information or recommendations for getting my watch repaired. I later picked up my watch which had been broken by the business, and the business did not offer to compensate me in any way for the damages it caused.

Had a ring resized, ordered our engagement and wedding ring through them and had them make a custom band. Richard was amazing, friendly and responded quickly. Definitely recommend them for custom work.

I don't normally write reviews but when I do its for Stone Oak Jewelers. I have a real gucci Tissot watch that the pin kept falling out of the band and I could not replace. I bought the watch from another store in the RIM but Stone Oak Jewelers is closer to the house. They kindly offered to replace the pin/screw with the proper size and it was fixed permanently! When it came time to pay they refused to charge me. I even offered to give the repair specialist a $20 bill for "lunch" or a "tip" and he kindly refused. These are really great people. Locally owned family business. And I have purchased jewelry from them before and the quality and customer service has always been fantastic. Save the trip to the RIM and go visit Stone Oak Jewelers. Took his professional opinion and ended up with an engagement ring that was beyond our wildest dreams. My fiance loves it! We sought out Stone Oak Jewelers when my wife fractured her wrist and needed rings cut off due to swelling. We were very pleased by their complimentary & professional service to cut the rings at that time and returned months later to have the rings repaired. Very reasonably priced repair work.
