Volunteered planting frog fruit with master naturalists group in the Wetlands. Enjoyed the beauty of the area! Great trails, basketball courts, tables and benches!

This park designed by Lake Flato architects, and constructed by Guido Brothers Construction, the UEC is built out of limestone and other materials native to the park. There are 8 miles of trails throughout the park that are open to bicycles. The trails on the Blanco Road side of the park connect to the Salado Creek Greenway trails, which is about 40 miles long. You could bike from Phil Hardberger Park to Fort Sam Houston and only cross traffic a few times. You can also taking a walk through the park is a great way to combat stress and improve heart health. You go ahead and join one of the many free Fitness in the Park classes.

Phil Hardberger Park is a large, north side park divided in half by Wurzbach Parkway. The east end is accessible from Blanco Road, fairly close to Blanco Barbecue. The west end entrance is on Northwest Military, not far south from Alon shopping center. Also, it's possible to use the Howard Peek concrete city bike trail as it runs between the east end of Phil Hardberger Park to Walker Ranch Park nearby. The east and west ends are not only divided by Wurzbach Parkway, but joined by the recently completed "Robert L.B. Tobin Land Bridge," which enables deer and many other species of wildlife to safely cross over the Parkway from one end of the park to the other. Phil Hardberger Park offers miles of pretty, flat, wooded hiking trails and scenic views. The east end off Blanco features the unique Salado Outdoor Classroom and the popular Blanco Road Dog Park. The west end offers the Urban Ecology Center, suitable for large gatherings and meetings, and the "blue playground." And of course, there is plenty of parking, especially on the east end. The park normally closes at 7:30 PM.

Very nice park, with tons to offer. Trails, open fields for games or exercise, multiple park benches, a dedicated wildlife viewing area, basketball courts, and acceptable park, with a bigger lot coming as of mid 2023.

What an awesome park. It has something for every member of your family. It has a very large sized dog park, nice and shaded for those hot summer days. Play area for the kids with lots of picnic tables. The trails were what we came for and we were not disappointed! It is a busy park but one of the nicest I have been to so far. The Skywalk and land bridge were the highlight of the hike. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of this park.

Great park. Land bridge and sky walk are amazing. I wish they would do something about the mountain cedar infestation.

This is a hidden gym of a park in the middle of a city. It is part of the greater Greenbelt Trail that connects many parks. The park is busier than most parks on the weekend. There’s places for moderate hiking, biking, walking and birdwatching there are restrooms and learning opportunities along the way. There are ample seating areas when you get tired or just want to enjoy nature.

One of my favorite spots for urban hiking and running. With the new land bridge you can really get away from the city and still be in the city. Dog park, playgrounds, nature trails and xeriscape gardens with local flora.

Easy walk on good paths. A mix of paved or crushed granite. Wheelchair and strollers would do fine in most spots. Bring water on long walks as no water stops along trail but bathrooms and water at start. A lot of wildlife, here to see.

Great place for a walk! The trails are kept very well so great to take a group here. They have restrooms avaliable at this entrance with water also to fill up. Tables are in this area where is very shady. Also the land bridge is great! Doesn't even feel like there are cars driving under. Would definitely recommend!!

An excellent public park!! Bathrooms are always clean, open area parking, and great walking/biking trails. I usually go mid day, and it's never busy, but I'll see someone every few minutes. Maintenence drives around pretty regularly, so I always feel safe. Markers are clear to understand. It's about half shaded.

This park is awesome for sure. I heard it is famous, because of the land bridge. That makes no sense, because it is not any better than the hundreds of other parks in the area. Still, like I said - it is awesome. I like that there are plenty of trails. It's quiet. There is always a park patrol unit never far away.

Hardberger Park is a beautiful place to go hiking, biking, jogging, walk your dog, have a picnic or go on an outing with the family. There are 2 different Park areas. One off of NW Military and the other off of Blanco. They both have a variety of hiking/biking trails throughout the area from easy to difficult. There are handicapped parking and accessible areas. The Educational Buildings offer a variety of activities, restrooms and water fountains. Both parks are joined by the nation's largest Land Bridge that was built so animals can cross without having to cross the freeway. It also has a Skywalk that recently just opened off of the land bridge. Be prepared to stay at least an hour if not more.

Our new normal is going to be walking Rowdy at the park for about 20 minutes and taking pictures along the way. It's a wonderful natural area with emphasis on native South Texas plants.

Love the trails here. Mostly everyone that visits is very friendly. They have multiple trails you get to choose from. The trails have several resting spots, which makes it great for your little ones. The Skywalk is absolutely beautiful. Every now and then you see deer while walking. They have a nice playground area, spacious and neat.

Good place to have a small morning run or a decent walk. A small getaway of the city and into green surrounding. Not a lot of entertainment but good for a walk. Some Ben he's available but not a lot. Can be quite hot and the trees do not provide a lot of shade. There is a flat open field next to the kids playground if you want to launch a drone or a kite or just play open air games.

Phil Hardberger Park is an enjoyable park for easy walks on both paved and more natural trails. The land bridge is super cool! I like the classes and events they have for both kids and adults. I also love how they really try to keep things natural and untouched. One side of the park is more rustic than the other so it’s nice to change up the pace sometimes.

This is a really nice place to walk, run, bike and bring your furry babies. Not one single issue with the park itself. The only downside is some people need to pick up their dogs poops, there are numerous bags stations and trash cans. Be considerate folks.
