I stayed at the new Industrialist Hotel for about $200 a night. The staff was pretty good at everything except they(valet) didn't open the door for me when my hands were full, they definitely need a doorman to be there at all times especially for the price of the rooms. The lounge was great as Marc was efficient and friendly. He definitely did a great job with multi-tasking and he was nonstop while I was there. I would definitely stay but with a discount only to their appreciation for being a repeat customer.

The Pittsburgh historical district is a great walk around the city especially on a nice day. If your interested in old architecture or reading about the historical significance of certain places than you will enjoy yourself. If theses things dont interest you then it will be boring because basically its just a bunch of old buildings.

Beautiful old buildings. Iโ€™m a native Pittsburgher and I wasnโ€™t even aware this area went by this name. Now that I am, Iโ€™m a bit disappointed there arenโ€™t more placards denoting historical sites and events. Even if there were just a quick blurb on each of the buildings that would be great. I will say. I am happy to know that The Skinny Building (at 5 feet 2 inches wide one of the narrowest in the world) is included in this historic district. Itโ€™s one of my personal favorites in the City so it being on the N.R.H.P. protects it from being torn down by some evil behemoth like PNC or UPMC (at least for the time being anywayโ€ฆ) several of the buildings that still remain are apartment buildings now, so without being a resident or a guest, you canโ€™t really go inside but thereโ€™s still things to appreciate about them on the exterior. Check it out, the architecture is beautiful! :)

It's very expensive to park, but mainly only during business hours and after 6 I believe that it is free to park. Lots of great scenery and fun stuff to do. But I am happy to just b walking around down town. Just that I work downtown alot and I pay between 50 n 105 a week to park down there. Also I would highly recommend that unless h r going to a pirate or Steelers game to not go down there during cause everyone Jack there prices up really high during...

This is a cool address to take photos. I actually have been on scavenger hunt down in this district, as well as a History of Pittsburgh Tour, A Haunted Pittsburgh Tour, and two Ducky Boy Tours-- needless to say, there are definitely interesting things to learn about this area! Also, if you're fascinated with older architecture, simply walk in the area and look up.
