Every time I come to this restaurant I am reminded how underrated a restaurant it is. The food here never disappoints. Lots of options for plant based requirements. Even more options for whiskey. For good food and/or good whiskey, one would be hard pressed to find a better place to go.

Had I known this place before, I would not have gone anywhere else to watch a football match. Vibe is amazing. I went to watch the champions league final. No place to sit but why would I want to sit when the whole crowd is having a blast.

This is the time of year I especially start to miss Pipers; Fall. They're the reason Shepherds Pie is now one of my favorite dishes. Real comfort food

Food was amazing atmosphere is a typical pub with a comfortable welcoming feeling. Janice(I believe) was great and very helpful when choosing a meal.Started with the Scotch eggs these things were awesome! The meatloaf was fantastic! Fish and chips was good. We also had the pie and mashed which was great. Highly recommend but be prepared to have large portions and time to go into a home cooked food come! Thanks again the 2.5hr impulse drive to try this at random was worth it.

Food is top notch, on another level from most pubs/taverns. Piper's is also a fantastic place to watch a soccer match and feels like a true british pub. Can't wait til it's open again for indoor dining

I'm not sure if it was a shepherd's pie or a cottage pie, but it sure was damn good. And those Scotch eggs. I can feel me veins hardenin just thinking about em.

Ordered the beef shepherd pie and brisket supperito tonight. They only have take out right now, no dining in. The beef shepherd pie was good but there was this off taste on some of the pieces. In the Shepherd pie there was some stewed pieces of potato and mushrooms and they tasted a bit off. I am probably overthinking it, but was not my favorite. My boyfriend said it tasted okay but couldn't figure out the odd taste either. But the brisket supperito was amazing! I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did. I highly recommend trying it. The outside Yorkshire layer was so fluffy. It perfectly wrapped the well-seasoned tender briskets. The brussel sprouts could use another minute of cooking but was also delicious. I found bits of potato's under the mixture as well. To wrap it all up, the gravy was so delicious. Highly recommend this place. The portion size is huge and total only came out to $34. Brisket supperito- taste better than it looks

We absolutely love our visit to Pittsburgh and dining at Pipers just a cherry on top. Food was delicious and bloody Mary’s on point. Fish and chips is a must to order. Stop by and you won’t be disappointed.

Visited Pittsburgh and went here for a great brunch. Amazing food, heavy though, good drinks. Didn't have much beer but they have a great selection. My chicken with sausage gravy on a waffle was amazing and the salmon boxty was fulllll of smoked salmon

Food was above expectation, beer selection was impeccable and the over all experience was great. Staff was pretty efficient for how busy it got. It can get very loud in the bar area when a game is on.

Great food. This place has many delicious entrees. Definitely large portions. If you want good Irish food like shepherds pie and bangers and mash this is the place. They get extremely busy on the weekends, but worth the wait.

South side at it's best. Friendly upbeat place. My wife loves the shepherds pie. I had the Thai chicken BAP. Perfect blend of sweet and heat.

Always a great time and great food. If you are fortunate enough to get their waffles before they sell out I highly recommend them. The boxty is amazing ( corned beef and cream sauce) and the sausage rolls are EVERYTHING. 🤤🤤🤤❤️❤️❤️

Great atmosphere on historic East Carson St with solid cottage pie (shepherd’s pie but with beef). Worth the visit now - but I’m excited to revisit once back in full swing.

I saw some reviews stated that this is very Irish food. I came for the Shepherd Pie but it they don’t have it anymore(not with the pastry pie at the top, now they have with mashed potato on the top instead, named Cottage Pie) Sausage Roll is the only thing with the pie so I ordered it. But the pantry layer is pretty thin, mostly is the sausage. The sausage is blend, mostly only taste the spice. Cottage Pie contains Stout braised beef stew with mashed potatoes, mushrooms and carrots in gravy sauce. Fried Chicken with Waffle in gravy taste the best, which is my favorite 🧇 Thick waffle with light gravy white sauce, very special combination. There are also some grounded meat on the top. Staffs are also very friendly. Overall, This is a nice Pub though.

We started with the beer cheese dip, which was good, but not great. Two of the four of us had the Fried Chicken dinner. I wanted to change the gravy to something else and the waitress told me to leave it alone, so I did, and she was right! I'm from the South, but that was some of the best fried chicken I have ever had! The other 2 had a grilled chicken sandwich that was really good and chicken fingers, which were very good, too. Great beer selection. Great atmosphere! It will be a regular stop for me when in Pittsburgh!

Really enjoyed dinner here. Great food and friendly service. Atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Good conversation without detracting from date night.

First visit. Fun atmosphere! Friendly greeting. Large selection of food. Delicious appetizer. Loved our dinners. Reasonable prices. Service wasn't the best, but maybe someone called off because they were busy and not enough waiters.

Our server was all by himself in the back section, he did an amazing job! I got a full breakfast and plain boxty. We were a large party that was not easy to deal with, it was my birthday, and I couldn't have been happier with the service and food.

Found this fantastic pub in ‘13 looking for a proper place to watch Premier League matches while in town. A decade on I’m still in PGH and Piper’s is my go to. The atmosphere is everything you want in a pub. Between the staff and regulars you feel welcome, regardless of team colors. Definitely a place to make new friends while devouring made from scratch food (including dressings) and drinking a glorious array of beers and liquor.
