Amazing! I was looking for a good selection of draft beer and I found one. The place is an attempt to bring beer culture to Cuenca, complete with chairs at the bar, something rarely seen in Ecuador! The service is amazing, the beer is kept in a proper beer fridge (pictured), and the atmosphere, music and deco don't stay far behind! An absolute recommendation to any beer enjoyer visiting Cuenca.

I strolled into Chill Chela by accident one evening. We were speaking English, so this young man automatically introduced himself and carried on with his conversation with the bartender...In Spanish. I later found out the bartender was actually the owner, Freddy. We were welcomed and suggestions were made to try various ales/beers which are numbered on a board. I told them my preference and I was presented with the perfect ale in a wine glass. That's all I needed. I fell in love with the bartenders, especially Freddy, and I felt at home. The atmosphere is always warm and friendly with great music playing in the background. It became our hangout every night after dinner. By the time we left, we had become a motley crew of 8 Americans and a Russian just Enjoying life in Cuenca, Ecuador 🇪🇨 at Chill & Chela. Thanks Freddy! The wings were nice, we ordered bones less wings and had a few drinks. When leaving me and another friend ordered boneless wings to take home. When paying the owner billed us double the amount that we had consumed (he thought we were drunk) but the math didn’t add up. So I confronted him, instead of paying $51 dollars for 2 order of wings (1 order to go) and 2 beers, I ended up paying $31 dollars. Sneaky… when I got home opened the wings and surprise… they had bones (I order bones less)… same thing with my friends order. Keep in mind the bones less wings cost more than the regulars wings.
