I LOVE this place!!! It’s inside of a fish market! on the outside it looks like a local cheese shop/ bakery, as you enter the store, it’s packed with great ingredients! you’d feel like a kid in a candy shop! They offer dishes made of all local products- meat, seafood, cheese, wine, beer, you name it! The truffle cheese is amazing! Our waitress really knows what she is doing and recommended great local wine to go with our food!

This place came highly recommended and unfortunately I was left disappointed. After trying it at lunch. The food was ok, I took a terra & mare tagliere and the cheeses were underwhelming, as well the cold cuts. The puree and anchovies was the only good one on my board. The place is crowded to the extreme and in the current health situation it feels very uncomfortable and is worrisome. Finally the service, our waiter Umberto was clearly overloaded and had difficulties keeping up with orders... It is also on the pricy side with about 30 euros per person for a tagliere and 1 glass of wine. Overall I would skip this.

Great place to hace a typical sicilian lunch. Good prices, good service. Tables are outside, pretty hot during summer but there are fans placed around for comfort. There's also a store inside where you can buy the productos they serve in the restaurant as well.

We had th most incredible lunch, very fresh produce, affordable options, good wine list.we had the caprese, the anchovies, the coppa, and the trio of smoked fish which was absolutely incredible. It was so good we had to come back early the next day to grab sandwiches for the road !

We were determined to go here for lunch having started the day with a pistachio croissant and a fantastic coffee. And lunch didn’t disappoint either…the platter was superb, all made better by attentive service and the company of the tables either side of us. Best food so far on our trip.

Food ist excellent but also not the cheapest. The atmosphere to sit there in the morning hours when the market is still going it is the best to just enjoy the platters with different kind of cuts, cheese, vegetables and seafood.

I wanted to try this place because of the reviews and place looks nice. We both got sandwiches but were disappointed in the bread to ingredients ratio. I got the sandwich with octopus and my husband got something with salami or something but the bread was so thick I couldn’t even taste the octopus of potato. Took off one side of the bread and it taste much better. Maybe this place is better for their tasting boards since it is always busy. Go somewhere else for sandwiches, there’s much better places. They do have tons of seating on the opposite side as well.

Great place for a quick lunch. We had a terra marre tagliere which was really good. Only fresh ingredients very well prepared. It is a bit on the pricier side for Sicilia but very much worth it. The service was very nice and welcoming. And the atmosphere on the terrasse is really amazing.

Very good experience! Warm and very responsive staff, the restaurant is within a market giving it a nice and authentic vibe. Go here for a “quick” bite - we had some good sandwiches (bread is quite good) and a seafood carpaccio. There’s more to try (charcuterie, cheeses, salads etc). Recommended!

Such a lovely place 😍😍 amazing atmosphere on the market, great, fresh and tasty food. Also the best coffee we had in Sicily. The products we brought to take home were a little pricy, but good too.

Absolute heaven! Best meal we have had in Sicily. Amazing meats, cheeses, wine selection, and salad was phenomenal! Happened to come across whilst exploring the market. Do not miss it!

Incredible sandwiches here! Came in a big group and they were flexible enough to accommodate us. It was hot out but they had some big fans with mister which felt great. This is near a market and juice stand as well which is nice.

03/11/2023 I liked the Corruggia sandwich, it’s good. It looks that they can make absolutely any desired sandwich combination which is a plus, but you have to be able to know what you want. I recommend eating here between 8 a.m and 2 p.m to benefit from the unique, local atmosphere, due to its position, in the local fish and vegetable market which ends at 2p.m.

One of our best lunches in Sicily. The place gets crazy busy during the day but somehow they manage to keep it all running smoothly. I had a veggie sandwich which was amazingly tasty for only €5. My partner had one of the antipasti platters which was an incredible spread - everything delicious and a real treat to be able to taste so many different things. We loved it so much that we came back for takeaway sandwiches the next day!

Gorgeous selection of Sicilian meat and cheese delights. Great sandwiches. This place is a vibe outside for beers.

They made me a very nice vegan sandwixh with various home-roasted and marinated veggies. The bread itself is not the best i've ever had and they could for sure make a more creative vegan option, but It was already fantastic to have the option and not have to explain what vegan means. The only issue was that it took me a long time to pay as there was a very long line of people and a bit of confusion and chaos. I paid 5€ for a huge sandwich.

Fantastic place. Friendly staff, delicious food and good beers. We also shopped for pistachio cream and pesto because we knew it would be good.

You simply can’t leave Ortigia without eat in this place. There is always a line but trust me you won’t wait more than 5 mins top. The service is amazing, the staff very friendly (especially Alessandra). I went there twice while I was in the island and the won’t let me down. Very fresh ingredients. A 10/10 🤌

We stayed in Sicily for 1 week- the worst weather Sicily had seen in years! The redeeming factor of our holiday was La Salumeria. Fabulous! Amazing shop selling produce used in their menu. Service excellent, fun and friendly. Delicious food. Highly recommend.

Amazing food and really friendly service. Atmosphere here is also very nice. Over lunch it's a bit crowded here but it's worth it. Highly recommended.

Great place to shop food souvenirs and delicatessen during your Sicily trip. We also tried one of their charcuterie/cheese boards, as well as one of their sandwiches. Both were simple, yet with great quality ingredients.
