My wife I and took our parents to St Luke’s for COVID vaccines. The US government should follow this hospital as the model for administering Covid Vaccines. Super efficient operation from the time you walk in to the hospital. There are clear signs posted ( see pic) there is no confusion at all. You know exactly where you need to go. Then you are greeted by wonderful friendly staff. Everyone knows their roles and carry themselves professionally. From confirming registration, pre-vaccine area, vaccination, to post vaccination, the entire process flowed seamlessly. Thank you so much St Luke’s !!! You are the Best !!

Our loved one has been in this hospital many times. While the care seems to be fine, our big issue is there is zero communication from the medical staff with updates. And when you try to call the ER or a nursing station on the floors, they rarely answer. When you leave a message for a callback, you don’t get one. Even the operators seem frustrated by it.

I was APPALLED at the script the nurse was required to read to me on our call the week prior to surgery. I do not need to be 'up-sold' on procedures/concerns that appear nowhere in my chart. As these services were not requested, charted, nor needed, it had me question the motives of care behind the St Luke's practice as a whole. I was no longer confident in bringing my concerns to the nurse as she was now a salesperson, not a medical advocate. The receptionist at Same Day Surgery check-in did not make eye contact with me once during the walk to the room, providing pre-surgical wipes, or prior to leaving. Both parties were 'first touch' representatives to the surgical process and the day of surgery. I did not feel valued, cared for, or, day of surgery, even acknowledged. This feedback was included in a personalized survey sent to me after my procedure, but no one has reached out despite my request. The boilerplate response below is only because this feedback is public. If St Luke's was at all interested in improving patient experience, I would have been contacted months ago. Dreadful.

Treatment from this St.Lukes facility only has been completely traumatic and I wouldn’t go if it were the last hospital on this earth. I had terrible pain in one side of face and a very bad headache that got extreme . The emergency docs were excellent and I was sent to CAT scan immediately. Docs read scans and said there was nothing seen. So my treatment was toroidal in an IV to take the edge off and migraine med. But Dr. McClinok ?? new better and could see something else had occurred . Anyway when I was still in pain not nearly as bad 2 hrs later I was released and drove myself home. After 4-5 months of suffering mental,Cognative, falls, drops, etc a visit to a neurologist who requested all my records and scans saw I had a brain stroke!!! Subsequently I suffered a 2nd stroke and clot. Ambulance took me to Hamilton St. emergency & I was admitted. I was treated during a stay that was controlled by one terrible doctor. Some days I saw no doctors at all. Once by an iPad. All records are in my possession as are originals that they changed to cover up. Yet they want to bill me for this all which I can’t detail here. Dr. Powers is a wolf and all fear him. As he called himself to me “ I am the hospitals doctor”. A coverup person. Tragic & sad.

Absolutely horrible experiences. Had a an appt for an X-ray in June. The appt was set for over 3 weeks. I was called at 5:25 pm the night before and told to reschedule because they just found out my insurance doesn’t allow the Allentown campus and I need to reschedule for the Quakertown campus. THREE WEEKS AFTER THE FACT. Then I went to my family physician with an upper respiratory infection. Was given antibiotics and cough medicine. 4 days later, I couldn’t breathe. I called my family physician and was told she had no appts and that she was on vacation the next week so contact urgent care . After I told them I couldn’t breathe. Fast forward to this week. I’m waiting on a dermatology appt since the first week in June. I get an email 2 days ago to ‘check in’ for my appt on the 19th (today is the 15th). I did not ‘check in’ as I was busy at work. The next day, I get an email that my appt was cancelled. I called and told them I never cancelled my appt. So I was told I’d have to reschedule since my original appt was already given to someone else. So I wait 3 months for an appt but someone else gets MY APPT IMMEDIATELY. Remember, THEY cancelled my appt, not me. Seems to me you were giving my appt to a friend. How many times does scheduling get to screw up? I’m not sticking around to find out. Absolutely horrible patient care. They’re in it for the money and to hook their friends up. Oh, and I called patient relations and they only give you the option to leave a message, of course. And I’m still waiting for a callback. It’s clear they don’t care about the patient. Wouldn’t go here again, even if I were on my deathbed

I was in the hospital with a non healing wound on my ankle from Monday to Thursday. I had the GREATEST nurses and aides. Everyone I met was wonderful. I am a smoker who had to deal with not smoking, plus not wanting to be there, and also trying to keep my independence. In short, I was probably a horrible patient! My day nurse, Elizabeth had the most patience and attempted to answer every question, double check orders, ECT. She and Mary are the sweetest nurses. One of the aides Latasha D, actually hung out with me during her lunch break and answered questions. The doctors, housekeeping, kitchen, everyone was amazing. One lady actually called maintenance (who was very busy) three times to go up to my room to fix air conditioner, and they finally got it fixed. I know they had some hard shifts while I was there, and listening to them interacting with other residents impressed me. Thank you for helping me get better and get back home! I'm sorry I don't remember all the names. And thanks again Elizabeth for all your patience with me! You guys are wonderful!

0 star I came to the hospital for a problem that apparently was nothing serious for them. They entered a room and left me there for 2 hours. The doctor came in to see me and left because she had a more serious patient and she left me talking to myself. I was never put on medication for pain or infection. Horrible experience. The manager she is the worst!!!! Horrible

St. Luke's Hospital has been great almost everytime that I've gone there. I have run into a couple of Physicians that I wouldn't recommend for a dog! As for your everyday staff, they are awesome. Some Physicians need a wake up call, refresher classes, and most importantly must learn how to be a human being and quit trying to be on the God like pedestal, because believe me, they are far from it! If you are a good doctor let it be shown to us through your work, not your arrogance. As those doctors can see by my response, is a bad review and a walk out while your rambling about yourself!

The McKenzie Family want to thank each and every staff member who assisted today...From the ER, ICU and Cardiologist team. It's with a heavy that our loved one didn't make it, they communicated every step of the way and allowed us to stay as long as we needed with our decesed loved one. Thank you Sister Judith for the prayers 🙏🏾 and comfort you provided us.

Used to swear by this hospital and refuse to go anywhere else, but since “covid” staff seems to think everyone is just there for a work note, they don’t listen to your concerns, and assume it’s always covid. It always takes me two visits for them to take my concerns seriously. NOT EVERYTHING IS COVID! Listen to your patients and take the time to look into there concerns

The staff was absolutely excellent. ICU (although not a pleasant experience) was second to none. Bobby- I assume was the head nurse. Absolutely the best- as was the staff on the med-surge unit. I bypassed two of the competitors hospitals to get to St. Luke’s and will continue to do so again if the need arises. The shining star for Lehigh Valley healthcare!

Our family had a fun night planned until a simple accident almost ruined the entire night. However the entire staff cared not only to the injured, but to the entire family. After the trauma was taken care of we still we able to make the planned event. I work in healthcare, and I expected we were going home after the ER visit. As I drove to the hospital I expected the night to be ruined, but was left utterly amazed by their care.

Had a patient that was suppose to be discharged at 10am and it’s now 230pm. Don’t take your children or anyone to this hospital. You’re better driving to NYS if it’s that much of an emergency. You walk in and immediately see 3-5 nurses laughing not helping patients. Place is a joke 😂

Only reason why i would give it 2 stars is because theres some good departments, but wow the new self check in and check in system sucks! Is horrible they make you Self sign in then tell you have to also sign in with them at the windows. Had a newborn bloodwork and it took me 40 mins to sign in.. UNREAL! Lady seemed soo lost and was extremely slow.

I’ve always been a HUGE advocate for st Luke’s. I was struggling with a migraine that wouldn’t break for FIVE days.. I went to st Luke’s instead of LVHN for a better quality of care .. THEY DIDNT DISAPPOINT! I was checked in, seen my a nurse, seen my a doctor WITHIN the HOUR. The doctors advise was SPOT on. He was personable and genuine. The nurse on staff was incredible and ensured I felt comfortable throughout the entire process! She gave me updates as she gave me all 6 medicines via IV. Time and time again at Luke’s never disappoints.. thank you all for all that you do. God bless

Efficient, knowledgeable staff and compassionate physicians make this hospital a smart choice for emergencies or to have a wide range of lab or imaging tests completed!

I was screaming for a Doctor in the middle of the night but my Nurse left me lying on the floor unable to get up for 45 minutes! Finally I made them call security so I could get those guys to get me a Doctor and that worked! They had to be called constantly. They screwed up my meds list several times! Then for an upper GI they decide since it’s a holiday and I’m last they’re going to rush me through something serious so they can run home but they wouldn’t even administer Anastesia! Look there’s tons more I could say but I’m letting my formal grievance do the talking for me. Do yourself a favor and don’t go here! You’ll regret it! Believe it or not, on third shift the Nurses would actually sleep in a room while people are needing help and the other Nurses cover for them but then you have to wait for help longer! Very very disgusted.

My 81 yr old mother was in for reverse total shoulder replacement. Her surgeon said 4 criterion will be met before she is discharged: 1. Voiding 2. Keeping food down 3. Handling oral pain meds and 4. Safety. She only ate lunch, pushed away dinner and breakfast the next morning. She never had a bowel movement and she no care around the clock care at home. The morning after her surgery I couldn’t get through to her cell phone. I called the nurses station and explained that I was 1200 miles away and asked for someone to check on her and call me back. The woman I spoke to told me that she would call back shortly. Unfortunately NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. They discharged her and she got dizzy at home and fell on the floor! She also hasn’t made a bowel movement and is terribly constipated. I am more than upset with the horrible care that she received post surgery. Something needs to be done.

I want to say my stay at St Luke’s campus hospital was a very pleasant experience. I wish I could have stayed longer. Everyone was so nice to me from the Doctors to the cleaning person.I want to say a special thank you to Kacie Smalley RN. I could not want a better nurse. Thank you Kacie for all you have done for me. Not too leave out the food it was really restaurant style. Good job St Luke’s and keep up the good work. Thanks again.

It’s really sad how much they don’t care about you… just try to rush you out the door. Don’t try to find what’s wrong with you unless it’s life threatening. Slap a pill in your mouth and on to the next person. Wasn’t always like this..

ER personnel attended my wife very well , only thing was there were no pillows , and the room was really muggy. Just small details that would make someone feel better.

Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed my experience, no lines, parking garage was pretty full but found a spot easily. Easy to understand signs helped direct me exactly where I needed to go.

Horrible. Was there for a kidney stone. Doc said waiting on pee test. Never took a urine sample. My friend was in ER for a crisis. 2 days in a hallway. Is a diabetic. Never once checked their glucose. Big joke there. Never again. I'll die before I go there.

Today I had surgery done on my finger here and I gotta say... Absolutely impressed with the staff. Everybody was excellent, doctor Jacob explained things to me clearly and calmly and seemed to have done a great job on my finger. Eric the nurse's aid was very friendly and caring. And Layla from recovery was exceptionally pleasant. Couldn't have asked for a more interesting person to keep me company while waiting for my anesthesia to wear off. I even got a history lesson on how Michael Jackson bit the dust 😂... thanks Layla
