Had Sunday roast here with friends. It’s a very lively place buzzing full of people. Accidentally cancelled a space the night before, however staff were very accommodating and gave us a table large enough to seat an extra person. We sat in front of the open kitchen and watched as food came and go but ours took quite a while to come. We had ordered the ‘All In’ with all the trimmings to share, was plenty to go round. Unfortunately it left me no space for dessert. Our waitress was friendly and attentive and now knows what IPA is and what it stands for 😂. Update: came back for dinner ‘All In’. We found the beef a bit chewy and vegetables (apart from the greens) rather burnt. Bordeaux wine was good quality, smooth and full bodied. Yorkies we’re very light and crispy. Our waiter was super friendly, helpful and bagged up left overs for me to take home.

It’s alright. Feels like a tourist trap. I visited on a Friday early evening and shared the ‘all in’ menu with a friend. Staff were very attentive until it was time to try and pay, at which point we practically had to stand and do semaphore to try and attract attention. The meat was a really mixed bag. Lamb chops delicious but the pork belly was tasteless - and the steak not tender. The ‘bites’ starter was quite nice and the cheesecake tasty but too heavy after a meat fest. It’s comparable to flat iron which I think offers better value. The vibe is very ‘New York via charity shop furniture’ and it’s kinda nice but you know it’s all plywood and venture capital.. So yeah, I might go back but I’d choose carefully. For a slightly bigger budget there are better steaks in the West End.

Amazingly delicious x99999 steak. Really good Cheesecake (homemade style), but average sides or starters. [Review in detail] 1. Porterhouse - The Best. No doubt! 2. Rib eye - Very good, but i preferred Porterhouse 3. Other sides - Average. Chips were very salty, average. Roasted sweet potatoes were nice, but again nothing special. 4. Starter - Nice, but nothing special 5. Complimentary Salad - Very fresh and nice. I found this more tasty than sides or starters. 6. Cheesecake - Homemade style. Non-baked. Biscuits on the bottom, cheese on top with white chocolate flakes. Very generous portions!

Update: came back a few times. The porterhouse is very good, but the “All-In” meat trio was dry and tough especially the pork. Quite disappointed after this last trip. Delicious food and awesome service! Everything was really good. Shared a 700gm porterhouse for two. Excellent flavors and cooked perfectly. Drinks, sides and cheesecake dessert were icing on the cake. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Very satisfied and look forward to returning soon.

Great place! Definitely a must go if you love meat and you are looking for a nice place! Everything was great and OMG the dessert! You must try the grandma style cheesecake (we loved it so much I don’t even have pictures). Only downside, hence my 4 stars, is the additional service fee at the end (which is quite high 12%).

This was our first visit and we couldn’t fault anything. Staff were polite & efficient. Food was five star and the atmosphere was great? We had the Sunday lunch sharer and it was cooked to perfection. The gravy was topped up twice it was so tasty, I wish I could make gravy that good!! We had the apple & raspberry crumble for desert, I did ask if I could have custard rather than ice cream but they didn’t have any as it’s their summer menu. It didn’t detract from the experience, I just like custard 😊 Well done all, we will bring the family next time.

I had an amazing time at Black Lock! The service was top-notch, and the staff made the experience truly enjoyable with their fun and friendly demeanor. The All-in set is perfect for those looking for a fantastic dining adventure without the hassle of deciding what to order. The food was delicious, and the concept of the All-in set made it even more special. The hospitality we received made us feel valued and welcomed, prompting my friends and me to eagerly recommend Blacklock to others. We're definitely planning to return multiple times to relive the wonderful experience. If you're seeking great food, exceptional service, and a memorable time, Blacklock is the place to be!

Cozy place with an interesting all in formula at 25 pounds per person. Pretty decent deal for value of money. The little bite starters were so good, and the beef dripping chips were exceptionally good! I recommend.

Absolute gem of a restaurant, super quick and friendly service, incredible food, and pretty good price! We ordered the sharer for two which includes the canopies and a side as well as the very large meat platter (pictures included). The meat was tender and juicy, however, this is in my opinion overshadowed by how good the beef dripping chips are, which may be a bit controversial, but it's true, the chips are probably the best I've ever had, or at least very close. The chips coupled with the gravy (£3 extra) makes the perfect meal and I would have that on its own regularly if I could.

Stake was excellent. Prepared with care and to perfection and carefully selected meat. Atmosphere excellent and services supreme. Finally affordable price. I can not remember when I was so positive about a restaurant. Definitely coming back and not just once

Excellent experience. Came around 8pm, place was very busy, I suggest making a reservation. Ordered 2 beers which came in frozen glassware, the famous "all-in mixed chops", sweet potatoes, pigs head on toast (highly recommend!!!), Broccoli salad and the grand finale: grandma's cheesecake. Everything was absolutely delicious. A word about the service: we had the Italian man (really sorry for not remembering your name!) serving our table, and he was exceptional, props to you my guy.

Amazing Sunday roast! Hands down the best Sunday roast I’ve had. The service on a busy Sunday afternoon was impeccable. My waitress was super friendly and attentive. Food was served at a good pace as well. Had the pig’s head on toast plus the all in, for 2 pax turned out to be about £58 which is good for what we had. The roasts meats were good, favourite was the beef and pork. Lamb was only alright. The roast vegetables were really good, and Yorkshire pudding was amazingly crispy. Will be back for more! Book way in advance for the Sunday roast, I had mine booked 2 months ahead

This Sunday roast did not disappoint. For me this was a can't-miss meal during our a 6 night stay in London, and I would absolutely return to Blacklock to have it again. We got the all-in, perfect portions of meat for two people and lots of delicious veg. The potatoes and carrots were downright perfect. All three meats - beef, pork, and lamb - perfectly tender, juicy, and just delicious. The Yorkshire puddings were FANTASTIC. And the gravy... I could have drank that gravy. Paired well with a pint of Blacklock lager. The cheesecake pudding was a great follow-up to the meal, served in a "say when" style so they just bring the entire casserole dish to your table and scoop it into a bowl until you've seen enough. Hard not to fall in love with that!

Came here for Sunday roast as have heard a lot of good things about this place. We had the beef and lamb roast - they were both great. The carrots had a lovely sweetness to them, the cabbage was nicely charred. Yorkshire puddings were massive and well made, the meat was mostly very tender. Only issue we had was some of the roast potatoes were extremely dense/potentially over roasted (one was so hard we couldn't actually cut into it). The gravy was also a little too thin for my taste (I keep having this issue with places in London; it's usually better up north!) but was flavoursome and went great with the food. Cauliflower cheese rich and delicious. The starter of creamy mushrooms was also a nice surprise; perfect portion size and very tasty. Service was fine, it was very full so was tricky to get someone's attention. On the whole would recommend!

Suggested by a friend. I was sold when i saw the pics on maps reviews and boy. I was not dissapointed. 5 of is tried the All In. Long story short. Everything was good. Its salty for some, but I like my food salty so was just right for me. First time I've not looked for salt & pepper. We didn't hold back on the drinks or sides and it worked out @ £35 each. Its now one of my favourite places to go. The staff were cool too. They gave a proper experience and explained everything we received. 12.5% tip is auto included on your bill. But we though it was worth it. This branch is down an alley. I tried to portray where in my pics. Definitely recommended.

Been longing to visit for some time and eventually was taken for a birthday treat. I chose the All-in which was fantastic (see pictures) and finished with a childhood favourite my grandmother used to prepare....brandy snap filled with cream! Complimenting the food was a great server and service team. They were exceptionally good and judged the mood very well. I wish I could remember the name of the server.....he was top drawer and on his best game.

Just look at the pictures and you will know how delicious it is! I ordered All-in that can try nearly everything. Extra recommend Cheesecake which is like a kind of national treasure.

Finally got to try Blacklock’s Prime Rib and it didn’t disappoint! We had a 1kg Prime Rib medium rare and it looks and tastes perfect. We also had a Sirloin and Ribeye, along with sides of chips, salad, and bone marrow. Blacklock continues to be my favorite London steak place and Sunday roast spot. They 100% know their meat!

Popped in for lunch and what an amazing restaurant. It feels like being part of an episode of the Bear. I loved the old sideboard stereo in the entrance. Greeted warmly on arrival, very friendly staff, none in uniform, all seem to love their job, I even saw the staff taking selfies. We had the menu and specialities explained, Ordered drinks and food, drinks arrived quickly, I forgot to ask what Bourbon it was, but it's very, very good. Food, I ordered the burger, wife and daughter ordered festive burgers and future son in law ordered steak. We also ordered sides. Atmosphere is buzzing, lots of different types of clientele, very friendly. When food arrived I was extremely good, especially the beef dripping chips. The loos are marked with "West End Girls" and "West end boys" (should be east end boys 😎) Bill was very good value, highly recommended.

I’ve been meaning to go her for time! Was worth every minute I spent at this restaurant and more! The meats are to die for, sides are great, sauces stupendous! I also have to commend our waiter, I didn’t catch his name… French guy with a lot of enthusiasm his attentive service made the entire experience every bit better. The lamb cutlets some of the best I’ve ever tasted, the Porterhouse steak melted in my mouth. The kale salad was surprisingly simple yet tasteful. My only criticism was the Spicy Margarita 😢 something about it just wasn’t enjoyable, I took a few sips and decided to pass on it. Dessert pleasant way to end the experience! I can’t wait to go back, I’m hoping the Sunday Roast has the equivalent wow factor. 🙌🏽
