This is a brilliant place to go for a walk whether you have a dog or not, it's a beautiful place. When the flowers come out there is an area where dogs are not allowed which is great for picnics and games or just a little wonder.

I've had of the pleasure of enjoying this beautiful space for over 20 years. Now I enjoy exploring the woods with my children. The tennis courts are fantastic standard and well kept.

... very well maintained park away from the maddening crowd. Situated in the middle of quiet residential with easy access to woodland paths. Added bonus are two tennis courts at the top and away from the main body of the park. Always a pleasure 😊

What a beautiful place for a walk! A lovely wooded area deep in suburbia! A great place for a walk to see lovely trees abundant with wildlife! Lovely park area with tennis courts! Well worth a visit! Take the dog and a picnic but please take home your rubbish! Also the gardens with special trees from around the world! Fascinating! A great find!

Really lovely green space, great for dogs and lots of friendly owners go there. The main grassy area is sometimes like some sort of dog arena! Dogs are usually off the leads but so far all owners have been very responsible. There is direct access to Wettern Garden.

Purley Beeches and Wettern Tree Gardens are a hidden gem in Sanderstead. The 'Beeches' offers a wooded area, green and 2 tennis courts. Although small it offers a haven of peace and nature for all visitors. Beloved by local dog walkers it's always a fine place to visit. Wettern Tree Gardens boasts a fine collection of trees, delphiniums, lavender and other shrubs. Great.

It's an oasis amid a sea of suburban wealth and chavs like me like to stride through the green splendour looking for trees to micturate behind.

Been going for years. A decent dog walk but looking tired compared to many years ago. Since the council got rid of staff the gardens are a sad reflection of what they were. Good for new dog owners at weekends where a lot meet and play, maybe not so good if you have kids.

Great place to go with small children as not big and connected to Wettern Tree. Great place for socialising puppies as away from roads. Woods and open field. Not big. 2 tennis courts.

A small wooded area which was once dominated by beech trees sadly depredated by grey squirrels. Well cared for by friends of the wood who are changing the tree species to trees not loved by squirrels. Also memorial gardens to visit. Worth doing and easy on road parking.
