A beautiful place to walk and enjoy nature, the qr codes along the way were so interesting and helped us appreciate the wonders of creation even more. Dotty dog was very happy too. 🐾🐾🦋🪻🌿

Lovely mix of woodland and open spaces. Some parts are very hilly. Stunning views and a beautiful area to spend a couple of hours walking. Can get very busy at weekends ona sunny day, but once you've away from the main routes it's not hard to find some solitude if that's what you are looking for. Very popular for dog walkers so do sometimes have to play dodge the poo, despite their being dog waste bins dotted around. From here you can walk easily to Farthing Downs or Coulsdon Common to extend your walk.

Lovely area for walking in, with hills, grasslands and woods and, if you are willing to go a little further, fields of wheat. While it is a very popular area with walkers you can soon find areas of solitude and quietness akin to being in the countryside. Used to be a free car park there but now £3 for the day at weekends.

Not many parks have so many different routes to discover and enjoy, and then you can connect those with Farthing Downs, Coulsdon Common and more green space than you can shake a stick at. Occasional horseriders or grazing animals but dogs can run free if they've got good recall!

Fabulous place for walking your dog. Lots and lots of space, hills to climb and no car noises at all, just the sounds of nature. If you go off the paths into surrounding woods there are very old yew trees, worth finding! An oasis of calm.

A beautiful and peaceful walk through some of Surreys countryside. There's lots of parking near the Saxon burial grounds and quite a bit of historical information nearby to keep you busy. There are lots of places to stop and have a picnic too.

I visited here in June 2022 as part of walking the London Loop route around London. This was a very picturesque area to explore but does include some slightly steep slopes.

Wonderful extensive area for walking. I often do an 8k walk from Happy Valley car park to the far end of Farthing Downs and back again, following the signposted trail.

Beautiful area, nice footpaths with charming autumn colours and easy hills to walk around and get ride of the noise and the pollution of the main city. Not for everyone as some paths might be slippery and muddy, but a place to enjoy, chill and pop up for fresh air and nice surrounding.

Fantastic vast open space to walk dogs and allow children to run & chase each other safely with an adult supervising. An area of natural beauty surrounded with a priceless history. Beautiful. Parking charges exist, phone app is available Ringo.

This place is on my doorstep and there are acres of green land to walk around. Some good walking trails in the woods and plenty of wildlife to hear and see. If you're lucky you'll get to see the dear, kites, buzzards and pheasants. Can get muddy in places in the winter but it's a joy to walk around.

A wonderful, peaceful part of nature. Most times you are alone to see little rabbits, hear tweeting birds, see wild flowers, smell the vegetation.

Ancient heathland bordered by lush woods. Great for dog walking or just a picnic.. Limited immediate parking if the sports field is in use but local ish parking is available..

Picturesque valley with woodland and large rolling meadows only 15 minutes drive from Croydon. Lovely 1.5 mile walk from Farthing Downs carpark (Ringo unfortunately now) to the Fox Pub. Or lots of other lovely circular walks available if it's too early for the pub...

Brilliant place for a long dog walk. Open spaces and wooded areas. Never seems particularly busy either so it's really peaceful. Not any actual paths to speak of so not one if you're unsteady on your feet but if you're looking for a little bit of adventure it's a lovely place to go.

Fantastic open space with many routes to walk. Route out to Chaldon Church 11th century worth a visit. There is a car park on the valley which busted croydon council charges 1.50 for 2 hrs or 3.00 all day. Car park closes at dusk.

If it was my choice and not a googleism I wouldn’t even give this restaurant a single star. We ordered two spicy dishes both marked on the menu with a chilli sign, both dishes I wouldn’t hesitate to feed to a small child- both lacked any heat at all in the spice department. The ribs well arrived on first delivery as meat on gristle, not a single bone in sight, I personally will never order again as the food is less that satisfactory, a massive misrepresentation from the menu to dish served.

Had a lovely time doing a 5km walk through this hidden gem in the south of the borough. They wasn't many people around so was able to enjoy the views and sounds of the forest. My walk took me through corn fields and a quaint church near Chaldon. Will definitely be back again and will probably have a picnic and enjoy the wonderful views.
