Travellers caravans on the main Rec but not the normal mess. The grass hadn't been cut for months and the children's play area was strewn with rubbish. Not a good look at all

A fantastic local community park with an excellent children's playground. The playground is well maintained with working rides and a good variety. Picnic benches available. A great walking trail circling the park on a pavement makes for a great walk (notably when the sun rises or sets). Adjacent to Purley Oaks station and ample free parking on nearby residential roads. A great local amenity for all ages. Grass not always well maintained but feasible to have fun/picnics. Watching the train pass often is enjoyable for the kids.

Lovely recreation ground. Good open space, playground for children. Spoiled by recent cuts to Croydon Council services which mean grass isn't being cut and is now "wilding". Opposite a lovely independent coffee shop, with benches available to sit on.

Nice park but left in distress by the local council

The park as such is great but it's the young kids in there are sometimes unbelievable and unsafe to around.

I love this park. I live locally and I often go for a walk, sometimes feed the squirrels and greet the dogs who are also enjoying a walk. You might catch me barefoot walking on the grass if the weather is good. Such a great - free - way to relax and generally feel better. I'm too old for the playground though I'm tempted to try the monkey bars and the swings if no one is around.

We were extremely pleased and satisfied with the service we received from all the showroom staff. They were very informative about the car we purchased & could not have been more helpful in answering every question we asked. David Martin was so pleasant & kind in helping us to decide on our purchase. It is always pleasure to visit Croydon knowing that we will always be made welcome, a thing that is not to be found at many places in this day & age .

  • 2/5 Hassan N. 2 years ago on Google
Unfortunately the grass hasn't been cut for a while as the council has been made bankrupt and got bailed out by gov. Such a shame...

Best equipped playground in the area. Love the fact there are a couple of picnic benches and lots of green space to lie down so you can watch over the kids from the side and you can relax too. Wish there were more places like this in Purley/ Coulsdon/ Croydon grid.

Very useful play area for children. I'm sure the grassed area surrounding the playground will a good location in warmer weather for family picnics.

Could do with a little revamp, along with the field next to it, which is just a Public Dog toilet.

Basic but attractive green space wit lots of room for ball games and a nice children's play area suitable for all ages up to 14. Popular with dog walkers but clean. Excellent coffee shop across the road for home made cakes, amazing milkshakes and obviously a very good cup of coffee!

We go here all the time as a family or just with the kids. Suitable for 1-12 year olds. Good range of play equipment and adult seating. Space for a picnic too. Two pokestops and a poke gym accessible from here.

The place is of adequate size for the area, i have never seen it overcrowded but it is quite popular with the locals. It has no exeptional facilities but it includes a childs playground which operates in good condition. As an updaye from my previous review the place has been cleaned and the temporary dump grounds near the kids playground have been dealt with.
