One of the massive parks around Croydon area. It's got almost everything from cafe to gym to kids play area to walking trials. Best thing is plenty of parking available and 3 hours is free. Make sure to get ticket from the machine and display.

Lots of space and beautiful grounds. There was a small adult gym, which was very popular. I wish there was more. There was a playground and a place to eat. Loads of room to roam. My teenager and I had a wonderful time.

Large park with lots of space for walking - but it can get quite muddy in places. It has tennis courts, a play area, a cafe with a wide choice of dishes and has a popular parkrun. It is also easy to reach on public transport - it has its own tram stop!

A fantastic park; have used it repeatedly over several years. Fantastic parking facility (free for 2 hours) but ensure you obtain a ticket. Ample parking on nearby roads for free too. A great children's playground, numerous walking trails which go deep into the woodlands and a delightful café, which has extensive varieties. Fantastic for early or late summer walks, watching both the sun rise and set. The park is often host to funfairs and is generally very well maintained and safe. Tennis facilities on site as well as toilets adjacent to the café. An outdoor gym is also in operation and a good range of equipment, albeit some temperamental. A fantastic park, free for use.

This is a large green open space... great for team games/ sports, jogging, cycling, kite flying and picnicking.... A bit of a wild park with a nice playground which has some unusual items and a zip wire. A cafe for teas and coffees. Some outdoor gym equipment. Very accessible as there is car parking and it's right next to the tram stop. If you like countryside you can take a walk up towards the Surrey hills which are beautiful and thoroughly recommended (about 30 mins in the direction of Oaks Lane).

A large pleasant space for walks, runs, picnics and events. The playground is varied and makes use of the valley in it with a slide to the bottom. The playground is a little tired with some broken equipment. There is also an outdoor gym, café with toilets, free parking, tram stop. There are often events such as fairgrounds, fairs, music festivals and runs.

Definitely the most beautiful park in Croydon, and amongst the nicest ones in South London. Being deep in the park almost feels like being in the countryside. Some issues with littering, but overall a tidy and well maintained park.

Lloyd's Park is always a favourite of ours. Tennis, acres of walking grounds, exercise equipment a lovely children's area with ample room for many and interesting layout for playing hide and seek and adventures .... ooh and they have a lovely lil coffee ship with outdoor seating The tram stops right outside the park so easy to get too! I think this park has it all for a local and cost effective fun time x

Awesome park on the outskirts of Croydon. It is open 24 hours a day throughout the year. The main entrance is from Coombe Road, immediately adjacent to the Lloyd Park tram stop, where two car-parking areas are available. 'The Lounge Cafe' is also sited next to the car parks. Facilities available include rugby and football pitches, bowls, hard court tennis, children's playground, car parking, cafe, open-air gymnasium, disc golf, changing rooms and facilities, orienteering, cross country courses, horse riding and a pond. Towards the northern edge of the park is an area known as The Squashes, where a line of springs emerge during wet weather, the most frequent being Rippingill. To the north, access is from Deepdene and Mapledale Avenue, and the park adjoins Grimwade Avenue and Addiscombe Cricket Club. To the east the park is bordered by Shirley Park Golf Course. It was created from land owned by Frank Lloyd (son of Edward Lloyd) a newspaper proprietor who died in 1927 which was bequeathed to the Borough of Croydon by his family, after his death. The park is not enclosed, as would typically be the case for suburban parks. Coombe Road is bordered by a low hedge and grass-covered earth banks have been raised along the open Lloyd Park Avenue side to deter vehicular access.

Great open space not far from Croydon Can anyone tell me if they’ve tried disc golf?

I like this park, only downside quite a bit of a walk to woody area. But lovely area for kids and lovely Cafe and dogs welcome and doggy ice cream. I'm a walker so I'm happy walking around the park and through the woodland.sorry only one pic, it wasn't deserted I just decided to not get any people in it, and as I said big children's play area

I liked the football grounds but if we go further more the place is muddy and slippery. Big park but needs an improvement.

There are multiple fields, frisbee golf (nope, not a clue), all the normal stuff and sometimes the other side of a tree is a whole new nature reserve with pond. The ice cream is good, although I didn’t try the dog ice cream, google doesn’t pay for these things (or I probably would, it looked good). Some people run. Some people have dogs. Some have bikes. Some people have kids. And some like me just get lost in the pond.

Lovely green space and one of the few parks in Croydon where the grass isn't too tall to walk through in high summer. Just fantastic. Guess there's benefits to being the post part of Croydon - Lloyd Park is definitely one of them

Nice big park good space for families to go to. Some shade for when its really hot. Its a nice open space for taking my dog for a walk and there is lots of other dog walkers all with there dogs under control. The only problem at the moment is the grass really needs to be cut.

Lovely big green space in Croydon. Children's playground, sports pitches and a cafe are all available. Easy to get to via the tram too. Walking trails aplenty and lots of space. Not much shade though if coming on a sunny day.

It's a large and beautiful park. It has tênis courts, space to play football, and others spots. It also has machined for weight exercises. It is great for picnics too. It offers so much options for sports that I can't even name all of them here. I have been going to Loud Park for over 2 years and I still discover new trails and routes. From Loy Park you can easily access the golf court and the forest. I definitely recommend to visit the park and be bold to explore beyond the area around the coffee shop.

Perfect for dogs walks, they really enjoy it, so do we. Sometimes it’s really muddy (from a Czech girl perspective)

Nice park for running, children play and dog walk. The day in the photo was very windy. One thing, more rubbish bins might be even better.

Love this park, wether sunshine or snow. The place looks brilliant with its wide open spaces compared to other parks in the area.

A mixture of parkland with a cafe and also flower meadows. Easy to get to by tram or a walk from Addiscombe or other neighbouring area. Close to Addington Hills if you want to make include it in a longer walk.

Great location for all types of activities like walks (my dog loves it here running and exploring all the fields and pathways), picnics, sports and recreation. Far enough away from the roads and hustle and bustle. It's peaceful. Check it out.

Good for workout ! Children play area is well maintained. Huge park around 100 acre area .

  • 4/5 Clare C. 1 year ago on Google
It's a 3.5 really ... Lots to do in the park for younger and older children. Unfortunately the zip wire is missing it's swing and the climbing area is missing a few bits, it's also generally looking run down. But still lots to do. Cafe is nice and has lots of options but in the more expensive side of the normal park cafe. It has exercise equipment and lots of green space to run around in.

Easily one of the most challenging Disc Golf courses in the UK. If you're new to the sport, an intermediate, advanced or a professional player this course has a layout for you. The Championship layout will test your controlled distance (not like wide open courses where you can bomb with little accuracy), your upshot game, putting performance and notably your scrambling game (especially if you land by one of the many thorny bushes on the course). Most holes are cart friendly but going through some of the Blue/Championship holes are a bit challenging when using a cart.

Been coming to this park for 25 Years. I loved it as a child and now my kids love it too Nice little cafe. And the children love the play area, unfortunately the zipline is currently broke. Nice wooded area and fields to walk around. Direct public transport (trams). Been trying to find a nice park in the Croydon vicinity as most of the have fallen into disrepair lately but we have now found our new park :)
