I visited here in May 2022 as part of walking the London Loop route around London. This is a large area of woodlands to explore.

Lovely woodland and nature reserve great for walking and picnics. The area is well maintained and notice board and trail signs are in place. Some guided trails signposted with QRCode so you can learn about history, flora and fauna of the park. More info available at friendsofselsdonwood.co.uk

Good time to go to Selsdon Woods! A carpet of English Bluebells here and there. Saw a few white Anemone, butter cups and daisies in patches. Beautiful songs created by different birds in the spring! Heard a woodpecker too! Coppiced Hazel trees were a pretty sight! Very peaceful walk!

An enchanting large woodland to explore. Car park is free and has a map/info board which is helpful. It can get very muddy so appropriate footwear is a must. Look forward to going back in the Spring.

This is a great place to go with the kids and family even on windy days! Make sure you take a picture of the map cause there is no maps anywhere in the forest. Also it can get very muddy so be prepared!

I love this place! A beautiful nature reserve with a great mix of woodland and meadows. There are large maps at all of the main entrances and large wooden posts with QR codes along the footpaths that you can scan to help you along your way.

Really loved these woods. The trail was amazing, best one yet so far. These πŸͺ΅ are buggy friendly, I went up the steep bits with it and back down. We had lunch on the green, lovely day out.

It's beautiful to walk through the woods, there is a map and there are various large green areas with a nice view. I go there for regular walks. Very nicely looked after.

Great place to have some time out from the city. Not too far from central Croydon, with a little car park and quite a lot of people, but it's not too crowded. Good place to relax... Singing birds, wild flowers... Or to let the steam out and burn some calories. It's not too flat so walking some gentle hills if you like or just spend time on the open grassy area to catch some tan. Superb to go out and socially isolate with your family or without.

We had a lovely, long walk. Everyone using the woods was friendly. Maps were easy to use and we even saw a deer.

Selsdon Nature Reserve is a wonderful place to walk the dogs. There many loads of different tracks around the woods and fields, easy to get lost but just keep walking and you will eventually find your way back to the car. There are various entry points, I prefer using the car park which can get full but you can then park on the road. Mostly dry over the summer months, winter it can get very muddy, all part of the fun they tell me…..

Beautiful and tranquil mix of meadows, forrest, wooded undergrowth, and walking paths vs trails for those who prefer to go off the beaten path. The Farleigh golf course next door provides beautiful views and we walked around the edges of it too

Charming nature reserve. Nice mixture of meadows and shady wooded paths. Good signage which kept me from getting lost. Seemed well maintained and used,,very little litter etc and lots of friendly dogs and owners there when we visited.

Beautiful walk with lots of paths but very easy to get lost! (If your sense of direction is anything like mine, be prepared to spend an unplanned hour or so trying to get out πŸ˜…)

Absolutely beautiful today in early summer, grass and wild flower meadows in bloom, butterflies flitting. This a smallish area but you can still do a good hour's walk. A doggy area with a small car park.
