😠 Initially booked the first available appointment which we already had to wait months for. Then they rearranged to a date we can't do without making it clear. Called when I noticed and next space is another 5 months. During the initial waiting time my one year old has already been rushed to hospital... People often mention staff, hospital, time, Spire, care, service, call, team, pain, experience,

Initially booked the first available appointment which we already had to wait months for. Then they rearranged to a date we can't do without making it clear. Called when I noticed and next space is another 5 months. During the initial waiting time my one year old has already been rushed to hospital in an ambulance once for the issue, how on earth do they think this is acceptable for a paid service?! Will be complaining formally to the health insurance provider.

DON'T USE THIS HOSPITAL! Atrocious procedures. Unable to login to my account without treating me as a new patient each time. Booked in for shoulder surgery. SMS sent to inform me that a pre-op phone call would take place next day - no time stipulated & no consultation regarding this. During call today was told by the pre-op nurse Kiran that at some unknown time today I would receive another call to tell me (for the 1st time) that I had to attend prior to admission date (29-10--22) to undergo blood tests. I made it crystal clear that if I'm in a position to take the call I would but due to my personal circumstances I could not guarantee that I would be able to attend, let alone at a time/day to suit them! Worst of all was the attitude and poor listening skills of the pre-op nurse Kiran who made that call to me. After going through her process of pre-op questionnaire I made it clear I still needed to ask a couple of questions/clarify some issues. She asked me to proceed but then immediately interrupted, not allowing me to finish my 1st question. She was rude, impatient and with very poor listening skills. The entire culture is no better than NHS, despite paying thousands of pounds as a private patient - I am a paying customer! Based upon my experience I would never recommend this hospital!

Customer service in the MRI department is terribly frustrating. They never answer the phones, when you do leave a message they never get back to you. I have been waiting for an appointment to be booked for over 2 weeks. Consultant said my appointment would be made within a couple of days following my consultation, followed by my scan done within 1-2 weeks. So much for paying private and speeding up the process. 'The sooner you're better, the better' - Aspire??? Update. After failing to get hold of the MRI department I contacted the consultant’s secretary who booked me in within 3 days. The scan went well and the nurses/staff were tentative and the process was efficient. 1star for MRI reception 4stars for MRI service Over all 3 stars

Everyone at Spire excels, from reception, nurses, doctors, consultants, ancillary staff, and the people who keep the place spotlessly clean. Collectively, this gives you total confidence in the hospital. Teamwork shines through. 100% recommended.

From the minute I got to the hospital I received lovely service from the staff. I was going in for corrective surgery and I was really nervous as the initial surgery the service was awful. My surgeon Mr Super was thorough in his explanation and attentive with me. I woke a little dased from anaesthetic asking/ crying for my partner 😂 the team was great and I soon fell back asleep Special thanks to my lovely nurse Julie who checked on me throughout and was lovely. She is a credit to Spire.

Very arrogant receptionist on the inpatience side. I could not believe the audacity of her attitude and disrespect for patients well-being. Everyone else was very lovely very accommodating but due to my first step in experience I was very disappointed by the receptionist. 👎👎👎

No complaints about my experience as a patient having a full hip replacement. However, discharge is far too soon and adequate pain relief not provided. However, they did provide stronger analgesia on request. A big thank you to Katie the physiotherapist. As a former nurse I have worked with Physios and also been treated by them. Katie has a very bright future ahead of her. Concentrates on the ‘whole person’ not just one body part. Well done

I am writing this as I have just been discharged from Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull. I arrived this morning and the journey from the reception desk to the nurses anesthetist and the surgeon Mrs Khaja has been so professional in such a kind and warm way. I truly cannot think of anything that could be improved. A truly excellent hospital with wonderful staff. Thank you all.

Spent a couple of nights here for a gastric sleeve operation. Staff were absolutely incredible and made the stay as comfortable as I could have hoped for and nothing was too big an ask for them at all. Amazing service and amazing people.

Genuinely blown away by the service my mother received following a hysterectomy at this hospital. Doctor Khaja and all the nurses treated her with so much care, compassion and dignity and for that I will forever be indebted. Thank you!

My patient experience at Spire Parkway Solihull has been awful. I’ve been left badly scared following multiple failings by the team at Spire Parkway. When my revision request was submitted, it was declined by someone who’s never met with me to discuss the case, had no photographic evidence, and I was advised a second consultant had given their opinion, and they still won’t even tell me who that is. If the procedure goes well that’s great, but if not, the support is not there, you are just simply an inconvenience with a cost attached. I was also advised I would be given a verbal explanation, not written. Absolutely shocking service, not surprising the ratings for this hospital are in the 3’s!.

I had surgery at The Spire Parkway Solihull on Saturday 24th September with Professor Rishi Singhal. I can’t praise all of the staff enough. Such a wonderful caring environment and genuine quality care of their patients. I travelled 1hr 30mins to The Spire specifically for this surgeon and can’t fault anything. This will be my preferred private healthcare provider from now on. Excellent, reassuring care and attention to detail. Nothing is too much and a genuine wonderful team of human beings. Follow up call to check on well being and progress was much appreciated too, wonderful nurses, reception staff, healthcare assistants and auxiliary staff. Could recommend or praise more highly.

I came for my surgical procedure, and I found both the nursing and medical team exceptionally friendly and skilled. They did an excellent job not just taking care of me, but keeping my family comfortable and well-caffeinated following their long, tiring flights to come and support me. Although the entire team worked flawlessly, I should mention Chloe who took time to talk me through my pre-op anxiety, and my discomfort afterwards with a lively chat. I have no complaints, but in terms of improvement, I hope they're able to upgrade/clear the shower drain as water can easily flood the room if one's not careful (this wasn't a major inconvenience though; just something I noticed).

Unacceptable service! We visited for my wife to have a Lipoma removed, the surgeon was rude and arrogant - the operation failed and he removed half and left my wife in a position where she cannot even lift our baby. We have numerously contacted them asking for help as we are now in a worse position with it then before we attended - no support at all.

The organisation of this hospital is an absolute joke. My first point of contact, Karen Ricketts took my details wrong, got my name wrong and took my date off birth wrong so that when I got to the hospital they were surprised to see I wasn't 98 year old Helen. Also gave the wrong appointment time in an email. Thankfully the correct time was in the attached appointment note. Not a great start, Karen. My initial consultation was in the hight of the pandemic, I was in the waiting room quite a while so I saw a lot of people come and go, yet chairs were not cleaned between users. There are higher hygiene practices in a hair salon. Surgeon was good, direct, to the point. Herself and the other doctor I saw are the only reason this review isn't one star. After surgery the staff were rarely seen until throwing out time. I asked for pain killers and was given 2 parasetomol as I was being hurried to the car. The pain was getting worse as I walked to the car, mentioned this, they didn't seem worried. I didn't make it half way home and my husband had to turn around as he was so worried about the amount of pain I was in. The nurse showed me back to my room and called a different doctor. He was pleasant and professional, couldn't understand why I hadn't been offered any pain meds or asked how the pain was until I was being shown out. Told the nurse to give some. She tried to give me more paracetamol, despite me having been given them 30 minutes earlier, then seemed to blame me that they hadn't recorded giving me them. Eventually got stomger pain killers and left. In my follow-up phone call, my surgeon didn't mention anything further. Then an email from her secretary, Lisa Cotton stated I had a scan booked for 4 months time. No other information such as a time or location or even if this was included in the initial payment or if I was expected to pay additional. Surely if I am to pay additional, they wouldn't just book with no mention of it to me? I tried to call Lisa several times over the next few weeks but gave up after being unsuccessful. I figured they would send more information closer to the time. Two days before the scan date I had not been sent any more information, I tried to get in touch but it was a bank holiday weekend. 8am of the scan day I had a phone call from one Karen, trying to resolve the issue, but the department that does the scan wasn't in until later. She called back later only to tell me the department wasn't expecting me, the scan wasn't booked, but I could call Lisa and try to book again! Called Lisa and what a surprise, she knows nothing about it. Karen had called her to let her know about the situation. But she couldn't do anything... I'd have to speak to Karen. Medical bills are not cheap and I am absolutely disappointed with the service I have paid out of pocket for. If you have any other options, USE THEM INSTEAD.

Ref Mr K.Watson I had a Hybrid hip replacement procedure on April 19th 2021 at Spire Parkway Solihull,I had this operation on the NHS during Covid conditions. Led by Orthopedic Consultant Mr Trevor Lawrence and his team I cannot thank them enough for their professionalism from the time I walked into the hospital and walked out on crutches 2 days later, the level of care I received was absolutely fantastic from all in volved in my care plan they have given me my life back. After 2 years of very painful hobbling along supported by a crutch and dosed up with strong pain killers 8 a day to now walking with no pain and no pain killers after 7 weeks post op I have now been discharged from the consultant but still have some more physiotherapy from their fantastic team. I would highly recommend this hospital and cannot thank them enough that why I have rated them 5 stars Mr K Watson.

Totally incompetent, somehow managed to "misplace" an internal referral to a different department. Ignored chasers for weeks and only managed to work out something might not be right when a complaint was lodged.

Mr H Griffiths is the bestest ever ENT surgeon. He listened and did exactly what he had advised he would do when we consulted him at Spire Parkway. Apart from being excellent at what he does he is able to give patient advice honestly and to a level the patient can understand, he is gentle, friendly and re assuring. He turned our hopeless situation around. Thank you very much Mr Griffiths we wish you all the success in your future. JB and family

This is written on behalf of my partner Tom. I was really impressed with the care received by the x-ray department and specifically Tracey & Julie today. They were able to fit me in for a scan at short notice and made the whole process a pleasant and efficient one. I wanted to mention them and thank them for their help.

Friendly staff, very professional, medically spot on. If you’re staying though the “free wifi” is not fit for purpose in this modern hi speed Internet world the hospital IT team is in the dark ages. You can’t stream etc (you tube is about it). So bring a book because you sure won’t be watching Netflix/Prime. The speeds on offer are on par with 15 years ago.

Mr Kumar from Gynaecology is one of the most compassionate, caring consultants I have ever come by. I have recently had surgery and me and my partner have been really impressed every step of the way. Mr Kumar is a very busy man but he always takes time to help his patients and answer any questions they may have even after surgery. The outpatients manager has also been really supportive who was able to get me an appointment at his NHS base as I was having a problem. Nurses on the ward are absolutely lovely. Would definitely recommend Mr Kumar as a consultant nhs, or private. Definitely would recommend Parkway for a 10/10 experience. Thank you everyone

I was in the Spire for a Hip Replacement operation. The staff were excellent from the Surgeon through to the catering staff. Nothing was too much trouble and the whole procedure was completed in under 3 days! The hospital is dedicated to delivering a first class service and they deliver!

Attended this hospital yesterday evening for a breast cancer scare. I was seen by Dr Haq and his assisting nurse. Naturally i was feeling very worried but i can honestly say it was the best experience i have ever had at a hospital. All the staff were friendly and professional. They kept us updated on any delays. Everything was explained thoroughly. Thankfully everything came back clear. Would recommend this hospital to everybody. Thank you Dr Haq and all of the other staff at Spire Parkway.

Great experience with consultancies, blood tests, MRI's and admission. My room was spacious, clean and all for myself. I was well looked after. Food was lovely. Despite the fact I was there as a patient it didn't feel like that. It was a good experience.

Great experience - I saw Dr Das for a gynaecological procedure and he was fantastic. Really made me feel at ease. The nurse who also attended (I think her name was Amy but I'm not sure) was absolutely lovely and let me hold her hand when I was being a baby! Honestly felt so at ease which Is really important when you are seeing a gynacologist but the whole team from reception to doctors to nurses were lovely.

I had surgery on the 21st August this year with my Consultant Mrs Effie Katerinaki. I cannot rate my consultant high enough, in my eyes she is simply thee most fantastic surgeon, I had surgery with her previously and her suturing technique makes all the difference to your scars, honestly nobody likes scars but mine are so fine and perfect. The hospital was very professional and welcoming from the reception/outpatient and the hospitality staff. Great care and great food, honestly I have no regrets. I am extremely happy with my results and my new mommy makeover. Thank you Effie and the Spire Parkway

I had an operation at the Spire parkway Solihull and can highly recommend them. They were amazing from start to finish from booking in to going home. My nurse Fiesa was so warm and put me at ease. The rooms are relaxing. They really care about you and check on you continuously, which is really reassuring. I have experience of the Spire Little Ashton Sutton Coldfield and I would 100% choose Solihull if it is an option for you.
