I am absouletly APPAULED with how the staff members treated us. We went in and payed for swimming, the manager was at reception and she just had this very unpleaseant tone. As my aunty was explaining to her that they do accept carers cards because my aunty is a carer and comes with her two physically disabled clients. My mum had a carers card for me and she was saying we will accept it but we dont normally take these cards. Anyways, we go downstairs bare in mind there is 6 kids with SEN needs. We get in the pool and the lifeguard comes over to us (she was very sweet) she said that we are not allowed in the pool as its lanes only and if we are in the pool we have to be swimming lanes, we had 2 toddlers and 3 unconfident swimmers. This was impossible, so we had to get out and sit on the side as my mum went to go and complain, it was diffcult trying to keep a 2y old and 4y old out of the pool. My mum came down and said the manager had unlocked the sensory room, and while this was okay and it was nice for the little ones, it caused my cousin who is 7 to be dysregulated and took us 15 mins to convince her of the new plan. Bare in mind the toddlers were having fun but at the beginning they wasnt happy either due to their SEN and the 8y old was unhappy due to change. We went in sensory room and tried helping the kids who were dysregulated to enjoy the new plan that we had to make. We then went and enjoyed the pool, however this mistake and we got told the manager had a schedule infront of her, this mistake caused some of the children to be dysregulated and not enjoy the pool.

Really good had a great day, done tobogganing with the boy but you must book ahead then went on to swimming and that was great and cheap unlike other pools..

Swam here for years and it is just so run down now. The pool is just gross and smelly and so are the changing rooms. Floor is greasy there is dirt and grime everywhere and compacted crud in every corner. The lockers also eat your change and all the benches have been removed from the changing rooms so you have to put your clean clothes on the dirty floor. There is a layer of sand covering the bottom of the pool and when I went two weeks in a row there was a plaster stuck to the bottom both times over a week later 🤢. So they basically just don't do any cleaning. The price is also double what it is in Hythe pool. Reccomend swimmers use Hythe instead. Hythe is clean and cheaper.

Went to the pool. It was dirty, I saw piles of sand on the pool bottom. If this is how poorly they clean from sand, what about purifying the water? I just couldn’t shake the feeling that the water is contaminated and I risk catching some disease. I tried to swim but couldn’t make myself stay more than 15 minutes. £3.80 wasted, I won’t be back.

I am appalled at how a male member of staff handled asking a Gentleman of the club,to leave as his time was up dispite, paying for a 2 hour time slot and only playing half an hour as he was forced to leave after feeling, threatened by an abusive & rude member of staff, who acted in a very unprofessional manor ! Using aggressive and threatening language & gestures, this was completely unacceptable and should of been handled and diffused in a much more professional way! Very disappointed!

I don’t do much exercising myself but attended a blood.co.uk event. Well organised and good use of the venue considering lockdown restrictions

A wide range of sports and facilities are on offer here, including a gym, swimming pool, dry ski slope and indoor courts. There is ample changing available too. It is very popular, so if you wish to enrol in any classes, do so quickly!

The swimming pool is ok its nothing other than a large pool with a 10ft deep end and a smaller pool for younger children. My daughter enjoyed herself there splashing around. The lady on reception was very polite and helpful. 👍 My daughter was happy enough to want to come here again. Only down side is no floats, slides or entertainment for children in the pool.

Everytime I've been the family changing rooms are filled with mud, Hair everywhere and pools of muddy water. Absolute dump needs demolishing.

WORST gym I have ever been to. I prefer sports centre gyms as I feel there's less pressure. If you want to do any weight training, avoid here. It's missing basic gym equipment and whatever is there is rickety amd old. It didn't even have Kettlebells? Not worth £6 day pass. Won't be going back. Ever. The was one male member of staff that did help me adapt a workout to fit the kit. He's wasted there.

Let down by Stour centre for a 5 a side indoor booking. This came Folkestone sports centre to the rescue, the indoor area is actually better here, staff are very quick to change over the court area from previous bookings eg badminton etc. You get a full hour as paid for. Plus it was £10 cheaper here for the booking compared to the stour centre.

Good old fashion sports centre with genuinely nice people... covid has charged the hierarchy a bit and left it worse off then.. but hopefully that will wear off in time .

Well equipped gym and friendly staff. Has a real community feel. Lots to do for all different ages and abilities. Katy's yoga classes are amazing and are the main draw for me. Perfect even for beginners!

Baby sensory room is in need of a good hoover and mop including in the ball pits, my white socks were no longer white upon leaving. Hoping this room is due an update soon as it's not baby friendly. You have to awkwardly hold your baby infront of the fans and coloured mirrors whilst pressing the buttons with your toes 🤣. Also one of the bubble tubes weren't working and whilst it needs to be warm it was roasting! Hoping for play mats, rocking chairs and more for babies along with some small soft play pieces for when they're older... a mini rock climbing wall would be amazing.

Nice facilities, good place to take the children for swimming. The changing rooms can be a little dirty sometimes but it is a good sports centre and the staff are lovely

The older reception staff here are very rude. I asked for directions and the woman turned her back and called me rude under her breath/to her colleague. I came back to ask for an apology and I tried to explain I had autism / that I didn't mean to come across like that, but I wished she wasn't rude out loud. All of the reception staff at reception ganged up on me and were not actively listening to what I was saying. They were very nasty old white woman and it made me feel uncomfortable. I can't come to these facilities again nor will my friends be. I am much younger than they are and found it very child-like behaviour. I hope that the management staff consider more who they are hiring as it feels very relaxed here. I would rather pay money to a gym that is a bit more professional and possibly has a better understanding of mental health and customer service. I read a few reviews and can see now these facilities have a reputation for rudeness in Folkestone.

After visiting with my daughter for Fun Tots, we went and ate in the cafe afterwards.. The highchairs were absolutely filthy, I was genuinely shocked.. We also had to stand and wait to be served for a good five or ten minutes! (Which is, difficult enough with a 17 month old!) Unfortunately I don't think we'll be attending anytime soon.

Staff are very nice, but the organisation of the place is a bit of a mess. Very often short staffed, closed earlier at least once a month, impossible to get through on the phone, main swimming pool is very often closed without notice, overall a big gamble. I have had my swimming plans ruined by this facility quite a lot and joined the gym for the certainty of swimming.

I've been trying to phone the sports centre for a week now every time I ring no body answers. When I go online to book website say I can't book online due to maintenance. How this place stays open I don't know.
