Great museum. Part is free and the iron age part is a one time payment of 11.25 for a family valid for 1 year. Spent a good 2 hours there as the kids did some colouring whilst we had a coffee. Small coffee/tea shop but really nice and quiet. Almost worth coming for the quiet aline :-) Perfect for when the kids are doing school projects and llots of local history. Dont forget to visit Hairy Mary! That will fasinate the kids and give you some explaining to do. People who work there were lovely and very knowledgable. Great place to visit and support the local museum so we dont lose these places. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Lovely place. Staff were friendly & helpful, explained about some of the exhibits &left us to look around. Visited with 8 & 12 year old boys. They loved looking at the olden times in Andover, gas masks & ration books. Liked the Lego exhibit & the skulls. I think 'hairy Mary' was their favourite though.

Really interesting place, with very friendly and informative staff. I visited with a 5 yr old so he was a little young to take the time to fully appreciate all the history and artefacts (I would definitely return again for some adult time!) Special thanks to volunteer Olivia who spent time with the little one in the arts room, creating paper plate art. A lovely young lady, who definitely has a way with small children. Thank you for an enjoyable visit

Really interesting insight into the history of the Andover area. Many interesting displays covering the iron age and more recent history. Friendly helpful staff....one lady moved her car from full car park so we could enjoy the museum without worrying about the time. Many thanks to Sarah for sharing her knowledge. There's even a lovely small shop where you can get a coffee and a cake!!

We have just visited the museum and would highly recommend if you haven't been (or have) to go and visit. The staff are lovely and really take the time to talk to you. The museum is incredible, so much time and effort has gone into it. We stopped at their coffee room on the way out, the coffee was amazing and a free mince pie which went down a treat! The museum is free entry with a donation box at the end. I can't believe we haven't been before. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

Had a lovely visit to the Andover museum, after visiting Danbury hillfort. The museum was very informative about the fort, along with the surrounding area. From the iron age to the present day, most worthy

The actual museum was great and very interesting. A good price and I’m glad we went. The staff were a little weird and it almost seemed to be as if we were walking through their home. Luckily they were only at the start and finish so overall good experience

A museum of two parts; the Iron Age Museum occupys the ground floor and some of the first, and is absolutely crammed full of artefacts, information and reconstructions. The Andover Museum does not go into quite so much detail, but is still certainly worth a look to find out about the more recent history of the town and it's environs. Well worth a visit on a rainy day.

Went to both museums. Well worth the donation fee. Great museum. Friendly staff and I would be very pleased to come again when I'm next able to.

The museum is really nice. The staff / volunteers are really helpful and informative. There is a lot to see. We didn't access the upstairs as we didn't have time. The cafe was lovely.

Free museum (donations encouraged) great for a short museum trip out learning about local iron age history. Kids interactive/dress up area. The museum is quite small but still worth a visit eapecially as a local thing to do. Maybe worth a visit if your in tow already visiting. Not sure if i would druve a lkbg distance just to.see the museum but definetly could be a place to visit if your in the area.

Every year Andover Photographic Club put up an exhibition of our photography in the museum so local people can come, see and enjoy. I am one of the guys who helps hanging and removing them. Very friendly staff here and quite helpful too. They always offer us a brew whilst we are there which is nice. Definitely recommend it as a great free place to visit and learn a bit about Andovers history

Good way to spend some time with family. Visited on a Saturday, was pleasantly greeted by a volunteer working there and made to feel welcome. The exhibits on, were ok. I think this is aimed more at older children and adults. However the museum does accommodate activities for younger children. A lot of the display cabinets a quite low for adults, we found some of the displays being missed due to there height. There are some interesting items throughout and worth a look if you are into local history and artifacts. We spent just under an hour inside. The museum is free, which is a positive for us. They do accept donations, which helps them out. There are different ways you can donate to the museum. Overall not a bad little museum, staff are friendly, facilities are clean and Covid friendly. • A suggestion to the staff working there. Maybe making some of the displays interactive and modern may bring in a different audience. Possibly reviewing the displays on there visuals and making them more story based and fun. Instead of reading information. This would be more child friendly and engaging, bringing more families and change the experience. This doesn't detract away from how friendly the staff are and the museums content. A nice way to spend some time, would recommend. ☆☆☆☆ 4/5

A fantastic museum which goes into great detail and adds human context to a small number of remarkable objects. Far better than you would expect from a small museum, definitely worth a visit. Incredible that the museum is volunteer run and admission is free!

A perfect place to get to know what was once Hampshire. The staff is really friendly and attentive. The Café Shop has a special charm. I recommend it if you like to know about the past.

Good but simple displays. Not flooded with vast numbers of unexplained exhibits. It's quite impressive to walk through the wall of a hillfort.
