Handy place for a walk just off the motorway. Free parking, Clean Toilets & a nice cafΓ© with outside seating. I met my sister here as it was halfway between our homes. The stone circle was cool, we sat & had our lunch in the centre, lots of different words of wisdom etched on them. Good views from the top and lots of lovely trees & different paths to take. Would definitely meet here again and explore more!

Great place for a family walk. Free car park - but limited spaces. Cafe/kiosk and also public toilets. Stunning far reaching views. Lovely place to take a picnic.

Small but superb view car park. Walking track has multiple viewing deck. Great for dog walking. Front has a good view for day picnic. Cafe on site has some hot food, cakes and coffee as well.

What a lovely place to walk, dog friendly, and easy on the track, which is wide enough for all walkers. Views for miles all the way along the walk, with a touching memorial of where a flying fortress landed. The history of the defence post to London in the early 1900s is interesting and worth a visit. There are benches to rest along the walk, and plenty of open grassland if you fancy a picnic on route. Although there is a cafe at the car park for refreshments after.

2 car parkings to choose from. The free one has a nice cafe and it makes your life easier if you just want a circular trail. The other car parking will give you better views. It's also very near Gatwick. You can get there in less than 20 minutes.

Great walk, amazing views, quite steep in places but nothing too knackering. The kiosk there also does great coffee, tumeric lattes and hot sandwiches.

I visited Reigate Hill on an autumnal morning and followed the Margery Wood, Walton Heath and Colley Hill circular trail. There are some amazing views here - stunning. The weather was a bit all over the place - raining and then lovely sunshine in a matter of an hour! I will say bits of the walk were quite challenging, firstly, due to some muddy areas and then secondly, some very steep slopes but I think I took a wrong turn which meant I tackled a steeper slope than I should have! All in all though, this is a beautiful walk which I’d definitely recommend.

Good walking though inevitably with some steep bits. The Fort is interesting and worth a quick stop. Views would have been decent had the cloud not been so low. The cafe served a fine bacon sandwich and the staff were friendly to me and my dog

Such an awesome place to visit with the family , so much history to see and the views are amazing ! Great for picnics , kite flying , drones , safe BBQS and sun bathing . 1. Family friendly 2 . Dog friendly 3 . Push chair not advisable unless you have larger wheels as it’s bumpy and very hilly . Great place to take in the scenery

While in carpark looking at Reigate Hill view point and standing next to the Junction 8 cafΓ© turn right and walk over the white bridge and the A217, first thing you can see is the London skyline πŸ™ just before a small Junction in a clearing on the right. Walk past the houses on the left to find the entrance to the Reigate Fort, further on is the clearing and memorial to the B17 nine crew members from 384th bombardment group US πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ Air Corps, keep walking you will find the Inglis Memorial πŸ›, Colley Hill water tower and Reigate view point. The 45th picture & onwards in this review are the walk to Gatton Park circular 2 mile walk which (North Downs Way Circular Walk) is left while looking at the view point, I suggest going to Wingate hill (on Google maps) first as this can be missed at the end of your walk, this view point designed by Capability Brown shows you part of your walk and you can sit on the bench and decide which way to walk clockwise (left) or anticlockwise (right) I and most people go left back up the hill on the path that follows Gatton Bottom Road when at the bottom of this trail house on your left (Tower lodge cottage) turn right which leads to the Millennium stones on the right from here turn right at the junction (unless you have paid to go into the school only on the last Sunday of every month) and walk past the Hop Garden Pond, once past the pond on your right is the Wingate Hill view point in the distance.

Fabulous place. If you are lucky enough to get a parking spot in the rather small car park (where there's a great cafe and free toilets too) you have a half mile walk past the Edwardian castle and the B17 memorial before the vista opens up to a large sloped grass area with probably one of the most spectacular views in the south of England. The countryside rolls in front of you like a living painting and it has to be one of the best picnic spots I've ever seen. And free! (Including parking!) Go early; go often.

Great place to visit and awesome views from the top. Things to look out for is the historic footbridge, the monument to a WW2 bomber crew that crashed into the hill, Reigate Hill Fort and the moment at the top of the hill with panoramic views. Popular with dog walkers and ramblers.

Great views, good walks ( some are up and downers!) and historically interesting. Free car park off Wray Lane gets full quickly on busy days. Good coffee shack. Shame that the sole electric car charger (Swarco) was out of service, and clearly had been for some time.

It's a great day out with the kids. There are some mesmerising views of the Downs from the hill. The vastness and tranquility will make you want to go there again.

Lesser known observation point with similar views to Boxhill. Nice walk into Reigate Fort. Although can get very busy during the weekends or public holidays. The parking could also be a menace so best to visit early in the morning or late in the day. There is a cafe on site.

Reigate Hill is well worth a visit as it is steeped in history with it's extensive views over Weald & Downs. Along one walk look out for beautifully decorated Inglis Memorial (donated by LC Sir Robert William Inglis VC in 1909 as a drinking fountain for horses), B17 Plane Crash Memorial (in which 9 crew died when plane tragically crashed on 19/03/45) & old defence forts (which are 1 of 13 built along 72 mile defence line on North Downs, built end of queen Victoria's reign, to defend London against invasion from France; Reigate fort (part of 11km "Redhill Position" along southern line) was used to store tools & ammunition). Take A217 southbound at J8 (off M25), turn left where road forks into 2 lanes, then right, then left into Wray Lane Car Park. Walk west along North Downs & enjoy.

Stunning views from the top of Wray Road, where the car park is. Arrive early or risk having to park elsewhere and walk up the hill. Beatiful trails, right now full of bluebells. Very well kept, dog friendly place and a great caffee next to the carpark, some wooden tables and benches, deck chairs to soak up the sun. Toilets next to the caffee. Definitely worth the visit.

Beautiful views. Parking was very busy for 9am on a Weekday. Cafe on site. Popular with dog walkers.

  • 5/5 Andrew T. 1 year ago on Google
Great walks with some superb views of the Surrey Hills and London, just a couple of minutes off the M25. Wonderful open space, ideal for dog walking. Following the path from the parking area over the attractive bridge, the route passes the old fort, through the trees and then emerges onto the open hillside. The Inglis Memorial is an attractive feature, though was clad in scaffolding at the time of my visit. The radio masts and tall brick water tower are interesting to see up close. Parking seems to fill up by late morning so arrive early to ensure you can find a space. On the opposite side of the trail to the fort, not far from the parking area, an open field offers one of the best views of the London skyline, comparable to Leith Hill.

Really stunning place, lots of wildlife, incredible views from the top and interesting war time fort to explore. Definitely worth a visit! Also the cafe does amazing coffee and they have lots of vegan options (including ice cream!).

We went for a jog on a weekday evening when it wasn't busy. STUNNING views from across the hill with a decent mix of woodlands. You can get a decent walk/jog in - of a couple of miles on undulating terrain. However the downer was the instance of numerous teenagers blasting loud music in the car-park and getting intoxicated by blowing on gas balloons and dropping used gas bullets (?) which is a glaring example of bad parenting and drawback of schools being shut!!! Needs CCTV/police!

One of the best parks in the area. Absolutely stunning views and great walks. Excellent cafΓ© with a great choice of ice creams including doggie ice creams and lovely smoothies. Car park can get busy with cars often spilling out onto the main roads but if you time it and go outside busier times, definitely worth a visit!

  • 3/5 Richard T. 3 years ago on Google
Surprisingly busy on a bright Sunday morning. Paths & tracks fairly difficult to negotiate due to the number of walkers and cyclists having to give way to each other. Two-metre distancing under Covid19 regulations was near impossible to maintain. Good views here and there. Sadly, walk was spoilt by the continuous roar of motorway traffic in close proximity.

Having visited Reigate to celebrate a birthday over lunch, the M25 was blocked so walked for a hour west from A217. Wonderful views in peaceful countryside. Motorway still blocked so walked for an hour east through Gatton Park!

  • 5/5 philth 3 years ago on Google
Nice walk with features on way, enjoyed the 3.3 mile walk but nt instructions not very good so easy to get lost. 100m difference in elevation makes the walk difficult for older and younger walkers. Free parking but get there early to avoid it being full. Amazing views towards South Downs. Constant din from m25 is worth ignoring. Fort, ww2 crash site, β€˜temple’, belties and plenty to see on way. A new favourite walk for family with teenagers
