Interesting museum with archaeological and naval sections. The thousand-year history of Cattolica is condensed there, from the findings of the Bronze Age. There is a notable display of amphorae and dolia, Roman ceramics and glass, as well as the reconstruction of a short stretch of the Flaminia. Descriptive panels help the visitor to orient himself in the different eras and to understand how Cattolica found itself in a strategic position. On the second floor, the museum displays objects and boats with the characteristic "Cubia eyes" which had the task of protecting from the dangers of the sea. They have become the symbol of the city, queen of the Adriatic. Cards are available in three languages. On the ground floor there is an interesting Daunian Stele on display. Free entry, friendly staff. Possibility of evening visits (7pm-11pm) in the summer period. Equipped with a lift, the museum is located in an area that was once a hospice for pilgrims, of which the medieval church of Santa Croce still exists. The complex is located near the parish church and the Malatesta castle, now private, of which only one tower remains (Villino Silvia).
