    Amazing food and service! We didn’t expect that food will be good. Apart from Sunday roast, we also order salt and pepper squid. Affordable price and big size. The roast probably a bit dry but everything is gold (Sunday roast had yorkshire pudding, potato au gratin, broccolini, fries, and salad). Squid was pretty yummy with lots of salad and big size. The pub is suitable for family, I had seen a few families with their children. It also has a few tabs machine, smoking area and outdoor seat with gas heaters and fireplace on during winter.

    Pub food is good, better than most pub food in the area and the price is reasonable. I like that they have kids colouring and toys but there is no nappy change area.

    I didn't eat but friends with us enjoyed the great looking food. Staff were very friendly and the live music made it a wonderful night.

    Great local pub. The food was awesome staff were friendly and helpful. This is the best little local in Bassendean fur family-friendly as well.

    Beautiful local pub. Food and drinks specials are on the mark, probably one of the best daily lunch specials, Especially their $15 parmigiana and pint. Highly recommended if your after a budget lunch.

    What Gem. The food was outstanding in quality, quantity and presentation. The atmosphere was only lacking in people sharing this charming tavern. Staff were very warm and friendly almost like going to a good friend's place for a meal. 5 people with me and all decided we will be going back.

    Regularly come to Down the Road for a porterhouse and always have a sensational meal. One of the best steaks around. Unfortunately they have replaced porterhouse with sirloin. What a disappointment- medium rare looked good but as hard and dry as a piece of leather!

    This is a great pub lunch location. The food quality is excellent and the drinks are very well priced. They have also done a great renovation job which gives the place a relaxed family ambience in the restaurant area, while still having a separate sports bar for the punters. Still quiet enough to be able to just walk in and get a table. Strongly recommend you give this place a go (especially if you are local to the area).
