We originally were headed for Savannah's playground but traffic had us turn around and miss our way. So, we followed the yellow brick road to the grandest of strand treasures at the Art Museum! 💕 What a wonderful place to visit with family or friends. There are 2 floors of professional art installations with seasonal exhibits. Everything is accessible via elevator and/or ramps with plenty of viewing room. You can experience The World of Frida through September 2022. They offer an Eye Spy game for children and a lovely sitting area with ocean views and a community puzzle to work on. There are classes you can take and a gift shop full of artistic treasures. New goals, I would love to have my own artwork exhibited in a collection here some day! Definitely going to become a member and become a part of this thriving and professional New Earth art center! Don't forget to leave a donation if you are able to when you stop by! I won't spoil the show with too many photos but just enough to give you a sneak peak of what to expect! 🙏🥰

Nice place!!! Kind of tucked away from the main roads, but if you go toward the Doubletree Coonvention Center, you see this unique white house with the unusual tree and its baggage outside in the year!! They also have a tea room.

More different and better than I had imagined! The ladies working the front were welcoming and explained to me the layout and off I went. Lol even the building felt like art to me. Loved the pieces. Pleasantly surprised to see the work to 2 talented black artists as well. Was free admission but was happy to donate! You should visit!

Lovely facility with very friendly staff. The Lifting Black Voices exhibit was both powerful and uplifting. The Stick was sweet and had many interactive opportunities. My spouse also enjoyed a glass of fresh made iced tea on the porch.

A free art museum that offered a couple artists' exhibits. This was the only art museum we could find in a 20 mile radius of our hotel in the Myrtle Beach area, so this type of art must be lacking in the area. Even this art museum doesn't offer a whole lot, but at least it's something. There are onsite restrooms and a small gift shop. Parking was also free and in the shade. The staff was friendly and helpful. Donations are welcome.

Lovely gallery with lots of local and inter-state pieces! Absolutely fell in love with several of the oil paintings. Fortunately there's a great little gift shop where you can get prints, and a fair amount of gullah art and books. Also has great gifts for family, including children. There's a nice porch with a great view as well, and I appreciate that the entire building was wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately due to time constraints I was only able to view the first floor exhibit, but am looking forward to coming back to see more in the future!

Always impressed with the exhibits that are here. Free activity that more visitors should take advantage of while in Myrtle Beach. Check website for details of exhibit as they change regularly. Nice little gift shop.

Really well designed museum, great place to go and admire artwork if you're visiting Myrtle. Admission is free, runs entirely on donations. The bottom floor (when we were there, summer '23) had the "Lifting Black Voices" theme and featured multiple types of media from artists local to the area. To keep.young children entertained, there is a scavenger hunt on the first floor, and the entire second floor was semi-interactive exhibit dedicated to a children's book called "The Stick". My daughter had a great time, I would strongly recommend this if you're in Myrtle and need to escape the heat and are seeking a little enrichment.

This is a very fun, cool and informative museum. Exhibits do change. When we went out was a nautical theme and old maps. This is very easy to find and admission is donation only. I would love to return to try some of the classes. Well worth the stop ❤️

What a great place! It's small and doesn't seem to be on any popularity lists and I have no idea why. If you like any kind of art, this is well worth a stop. They change out exhibits every 3 months so it may not be the same thing we saw, but the exhibits we did see were top quality. One was a water color artist that blew me away. Such realism with water color. We toured all 4 exhibits in just a couple of hours and there is no charge, but donations are appreciated. We gladly donated.

Visited a month or so ago and definitely will return. Happy to hear how the gallery displays new artists every couple of months, so its a good local place. Had some amazing work. My favorite was the miniature room models.

This is a small art museum, but still worth the visit. We were greeted immediately by such friendly staff and the museum had a very diverse selection of mediums for a museum of that size. I added two of my favorites.

Great free small art museum. Easy to find. They have an elevator, if needed. Lots of great curated showings. Very bright and spacious inside. We come here at least once every time we are near Myrtle Beach. Did I mention that it's free? Be sure to make a donation to help them keep going.

Although the museum is small, the exhibits are well done, beautiful works. The gift shop not only had works from the exhibit artists, but also items from the local artists and fair trade artists. Definitely worth a visit when you're in the area!

I love visiting this museum! Very educational and always interesting. This is always a stop when I vacation at Myrtle Beach! Great for art enthusiasts and family. They have a cute little tea room where you can sit and sip on tea while watching the waves of the ocean, play a game, or complete a puzzle.

Visited this museum during our family travels to Myrtle Beach and really enjoyed the Frida exhibit. It was very interesting to see all of the artwork from various artists and their interpretation of Frida's life or some aspect thereof. Even saw one from a fellow Chicagoan. The customer service was excellent from our greeting, to the history of the museum, information on the exhibit, and souvenir purchases.

This is a beautiful art gallery worth taking some time to visit. I would have stayed longer if not for the mask mandate.

I truly enjoy our local art museum. They have traveling artists. Took our family from Ohio here and even the teenagers enjoyed it. They liked the puzzle area and the masterpiece coloring pages too
