Very nice beach and decent snorkeling 100 yards out. Also out 100 yards are fairly aggressive Bermuda Chub; both me and my partner got nipped while snorkeling! Saw lots of fish including a lazy barracuda who should probably be eating more Chub.

My preferred beach in Grand Cayman. The West Bay Public seems better organised with more amenities, but the feel at governors beach is better experienced than described. Mostly overcrowded on holidays and some weekends though.

Definitely my favourite beach on the Island. It's usually pretty quiet and there's a Blackbeard's 400 metres away! πŸ˜„πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ§‰ There's a really great snorkeling spot 75m offshore and the parking is free and plentiful. If you're hungry 7-mile burger is literally over the road with legendz a 200m walk away. Perfect! πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‡°πŸ‡ΎπŸ΄β€β˜ οΈβ€οΈ

Great place to chill & relax for free since it’s open to the public. I love Grand Cayman because of their MANY FREE to the PUBLIC and VERY accessible beaches. This makes it affordable for me to visit many times throughout the year rather then spending my entire budget on a single beachfront hotel. Many-Many thanks to the Governor & the Cayman Residents for sharing their beautiful island home!!

Crystal clear sea, we swam with a sea turtle and an eagle ray in the shallows, and saw a nurse shark hiding under the reef about 100 yards out.

Very clean and spacious. Definitely would recommend an afternoon here. Parking lot and beach felt safe. I would recommend bringing drinks with you. We didn't see any refreshments that were beach appropriate on site.

Free beach and parking along the "7-mile" stretch on west Grand Cayman. Some vendors provide beach chairs and umbrellas, but only if a cruise ship is in town. Water is incredible.

The best stretch of 7 mile. Wide sweeping beach with powdery white sand, crystal clear water, turquoise waves and gentle slope. It’s clean, has a few picnic benches and is kept pretty clean. It’s also a great spot for sunset.

Please spend time at this part of Seven Mile Beach. Snorkel is amazing. Beautiful and peaceful. Water is exceptionally clear..see your feet clear! You can walk about a half mile up the beach to Public Beach where all the cruise ship people are and grab a drink at the restaurant. Then make your way back to Governor's Beach for a beach practically to your self. I agree with the plaque on the bench!

The reef is relatively near shore. The white sandy beach is beautiful. The water is crystal clear. Parking is available in the area.

Fully recommended! The parking lot it’s ok but not that big, however, there’s a mini mall with plenty spaces available all the time. There’s two shops to get yourself provided with booze and food. The sunset view is AMAZING. One of the best spots in Grand Cayman. It’s very quite. Plenty space to chill in front of the wonderful Seven Mile Beach. Again, fully recommended! Cheers!

This beach is incredible. I'd say it's the #1 beach on the island.. beautiful sunsets, turquoise waters and white sands. Great for swimming or simply wading. There's lots of parking as well.

On 7 Mile beach, this is the ideal parking spot and taking off point for long walks on the Beach! Park here and walk to the right. We used to walk all the way to Public Beach( literally the name of the next beach with parking spots). When you see 8 Gazebos in a row with lots of rental chairs you have reached the Public Beach. We hit this beach at least seven or eight times during our trip.

This whole stretch of beach is perfect. We were here nearly every day of our vacation. Walks, swimming, sunbathing - the ideal location. Plus, there's excellent parking at this location.

This was the most beautiful beach I've ever been to. The water was clear and the beach wasn't crowded. I wish we had been able to spend more of our day here, it was absolutely magical.

Beautiful beach, wasn’t very crowded and didn’t have anyone bugging you to buy things. Water was calm and gorgeous.

Clean, picturesque and relaxing. The food trucks offer delicious island foods and array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available to purchase. Loungers and umbrellas are available for a price of twenty dollars. Showers and changing rooms are available and all small cabanas are free. My family and I had a great time!

Not the best for snorkeling but a nice big beach with smooth soft white sand and is very tourist friendly; very near to shops and restaurants across the road and right next to Westin which you can just walk in and visit the bar by the beach or the restaurants. Recommend to walk across the road for some nice Icecream at the Peachwave Frozen Yogurt and bring back to chill at the beach. A must visit when the Turtle Center do their turtle release here.

The beach is lovely and the sunsets are to die for! Super clean and easy to get to. Just make sure you bring your supplies (chairs, towels, cooler, etc). Have fun and enjoy the Caymans!

Beautiful white sand beach and crystal clear blue water. Palm tree protected off street parking and a visiting ice cream truck make this a favorite for locals and resident chickens and baby chicks.

Gorgeous white fine sand and crystal clear water. Soft white sand bottom. Very clean. Not crowded at all. Part of 7 mile beach away from the hotel crowds. Water is warm and lovely.

Quiet place to chill, enjoy sun, watch people. +Stunning Sunset you should not miss! +Shaded area under the trees. +local and tourist area +afterwork chill +Quiet +kid safe (bring floaties, lifevest) I suggest go here on weekdays. Weekends are full of families around. Theres no lounge chair at this one, better bring your own to make sure youll be comfy. Public beach nearby has that feature though. The place have some tables and seats. Bathroom is a compact portable one. You will love this place If you have floating toys like Paddle board and not motorized (not allowed) for water fun then this is the place to be few steps away where you roll in your car.
