DISGUSTING!!!! This place does NOT even deserve a 1 star rating. The ER was So Nasty & Filthy. They are worried about if someone has a vaccine when they should be more worried about Cleaning their unsantized Hospital. There was dirt all over the waiting area and the bathroom floor was Black & had Blood All over the floor! I wouldn't be surprised if people are walking out with HIV & Covid with the looks of this place. Not to mention the staff was Highly unprofessional and the RN's aren't even wearing scrubs. I am still shocked! WOW

My 83 year old aunt was admitted to the behavioral health unit to have her medication adjusted. They kept her unnecessarily there for over 5 weeks. I could never speak to the doctor as I always had to go through the social worker. When I called the unit to speak to her nurse John, he was always rude. I tried to contact a patient advocate but I could never get through by phone. She sat in a wheelchair without any physical or occupational therapy for 5 weeks. I was told that she was getting therapy but her records indicate that was untrue. Then it took weeks to get her excepted into a rehabilitation facility. Sacred Hearts rehab a couple of floors down wouldn’t take her. I could never get a straight answer as to why. It was unbelievably upsetting. I filed a complaint and someone got back to me 2 weeks after she left. I asked Melissa, Patient Care Manager for older Adult Behavioral Health( person who contracted me) what could you possibly do for her now? She’s no longer at Sacred Heart . She didn’t reply. In my opinion, there is a serious problem with this hospital when a family member can not get any answers, ( I am my aunt’s POA)cannot speak to the doctor regularly, has to deal with a nasty nurse, can’t get through to a patient advocate, being given false information regarding therapy and a social worker who is either lazy or doesn’t know what she’s doing. My aunt was fully insured so they prolonged her stay without a doubt. Thank God for Brookmont Rehabilitation in Effort PA. They have done an amazing job getting my aunt back to where she was prior to being at Sacred Heart Hospital. I was told by the hospital that she would need a nursing home and not an assisted living ( she is healthy and on only 2 medications ). I refused to believe them. Brookmont has her walking with a walker, going up and down stairs, she’s on a bicycle, her speech is clear and she can get around on her own. Thanks for absolute nothing Sacred Heart. I’m a Catholic, I suggest you change your name. It’s insulting and offensive to us. Shame on you! You deserve less than one star!

Came to psychiatric ward ER on 5/5/22, Am handicapped and use wheelchair and walker. Needed emotional support and help. But when my husband was taken to another hospital for respiratory distress by ambulance. I, of course, wanted to go to him and be by his side! I was told by staff at Sacred Heart ER that they could not release me until Psychiatrist saw me on 5/6/22 in the morning. Which made my symptoms worse. Instead of help for my problems all I got was very basic. No psychiatric help all night despite my husbands worsening condition and need to go to critical care at another hospital. Never going there again for help! All I got was my belongings taken away and my request to go to husband refused! They even took the handicapped helpers I need to help myself! No wheelchair. Had to beg for walker to go to handicapped bathroom down hall. Cold all night despite numerous blankets. No respiratory support for chronic obstructive sleep apnea or problems with congestive heart failure or other health issues. Never going to believe for psychiatric help from them again! Don’t go there. Like a prison more than hospital!

My husband was in the Older adult unit. They discharged him day before Thanksgiving even though he had made minimal progress. We begged them not to release him. They washed their hands of him. After a few days home he was suicidal and I had him taken by ambulance to another hospital. I can't prove it but I highly suspect they wanted a lower patient count for the holidays. Never again.

Wife got out of surgery at the ER asked for a sherbet ice cream from the nurse since she was parched bleeding and in pain. They gave her sherbet but it has breastmilk from cows in it. Why does a sherbet have breastmilk in it??? So many people are lactose intolerant and many others are against abusing animals for their breastmilk. Serve vegan food and stop supporting animal abuse!!!

Had a cosmetic procedure done January 13, 2022 with my amazing Dr. Badar Jan and I have to say that the staff at the Allentown Sacred Heart Campus was hands down the best ever from the moment I walked in and registered up until the moment I was wheel chaired out; The staff was amazing, every nurse, assistant, everyone was just so accommodating and sweet. I love love love this hospital and can not thank everyone who works there enough for making me feel comfortable every minute I was there.

This hospital, sometimes I ask myself why they still open. Everything is always dirty, they take hours before the doctor sees you, you could be the only patient and still they don't care, the Nurses just be laughing and talking instead of been serviced, they talk to people like they just Don't care, this ER hospital is the worst and terrible of all

Horrible experience ever ! Ontop of that now it’s protocol they do alcohol test on mentally ill … stay clear if your loved one is having a issue ! Hire better people ones that actually wanna help not just collect money !

I was a patient in the transitional care unit on 2 occasions in the past several months. The care I received was excellent..from the nurses,CNA's to the gentleman who meticulously cleaned my room daily. I was in quarantine since I didn't have my COVID vaccine and could not have any visitors...but the staff became my "family" during my stays. Michael the director of the unit down to the care coordinator all were top notch professionals. The chef called each day to remind me of the specials of the day and together hot delicious meals were served in my room....pizza was great and so were the fresh juicy oranges. The physical therapists expedited my healing process to be able to return home. Thanks for the wonderful care...you are the best!!!

If I could give 0 I would give zero. Went in for a cough I’ve had for a week that is getting worst and no medicine helps. They didn’t bother to listen to lungs. They strep tested me. Negative. Covid. Negative gave me medicine that didn’t work which I told them and they said okay and left the room and sent me home with the answer “ I don’t know some kind of bronchitis “ and sent the same medicine that didn’t help for me to get at the pharmacy.

This hospital is a disgrace to our community. I went to the emergency room there and with my symptoms there is no way I should not have any treatment. The doctor did not care to find out what was truly going on with me. I was spitting up blood. Lost 20lbs, sore swollen throat with white spots. Cold chills and night sweats. Wasn't strep so he gave me a COVID test and said go home take some Tylenol and come back if worse. SMH

The worse hospital ever. I went there for test then they put me on a kid so the test got rejected they they called me to redo it and when I went there the front disk lady supposed to give me number 34 cause she didn’t like me and was attitude with and somehow she gave me number 39, didn’t want to say anything and was waiting for the test for an hour and had to talk to someone there and that person told me that the lady in front disk never registered me. That was the 3rd time for that to happen there and will never go back.

South Lobby waiting room has an alarm that keeps going off, it's ear piercing and triggered a migraine. Why is this necessary ? Waiting for pre-op tests this is very nerve racking. Not coming back here

Physician assistant definitely had extremely BAD bedside manners my first time using this ER and definitely will be my last time! Maybe should be trained more on professionalism and compassion! Plus like other reviews it could use a little cleaning.

Went to the ER after getting a deep cut on my head and the staff worked quickly to get me all patched up. Everyone I spoke to was very patient and helpful and I was out of the hospital in less than an hour. The building itself could use some remodeling but the nurses and doctors were all lovely.

I don't think I could've envisioned a more pointless or useless ER experience. If I had gone to a magic 8 ball for my emergency instead, I'm pretty sure I would've ended up substantially better off. Had to go to another hospital afterwards to get help from a real doctor with a higher than room temperature IQ.

Do not get your blood work done there. Very unprofessional. This is the second time this happens to me where I go in and they screw up my appointment and make me wait over 45 mins for blood work. First time I let it slide, but when this happened to me again today I figured I need to post this.

I went in on 3-30 for surgery on my ankle. It was a small thing (I think) but I was very nervous! Nitia(?) Was my nurse or aide who gave me my gown, ect, and kept checking on me. She also showed me some of the coloring apps that she uses on her phone that were similar to mine. I want to thank her for helping to ease my nerves! She did the same thing for my friend when she had surgery! The Op nurse Peggy and PACU Crystal we're very nice too. And thank you Dr. Tabchi for taking the time to get in there and fix everything! Y'all are awesome! I definitely recommend!❤️❤️

I went here for my routine Covid-19 vaccines. However, on this particular occasion I'm speaking of, I was recovering from Covid myself and still had severe Long Haul symptoms, although I was eligible for my first shot. I went in and got the shot, went and sat down, all of a sudden I started getting tachycardia. I just want to say that whoever the head nurse was in charge of the vaccine clinic in May 2021, was absolutely nothing but amazing! She checked me out, sat with me and talked to me like a human being, listened to me and let me vent. I had been sick for months and my own doctor didn't even listen or care that much. She sat there and listened to me while I cried and just let it all out. I don't know her name but I want to thank her. She also called the clinic across the street and helped to get me an appt if I had needed it. I ended up being seen by my own dr, but this woman deserves some type of commendation for her dedication to patients. I was a mess, it was obviously a panic attack combined with Covid Long Haul symptoms, and her quick thinking to know to just talk me down was amazing. Thank you.

Was here for a same day procedure. I couldn’t believe how I was treated. The only ones that cared were the doctors that take you into the surgery room. I’m guessing it was the nurses as I was disoriented when I woke up. From when I woke up from anesthesia to when they were shoving me out of the door was a whopping 40 min. I woke up to blood coming out of my fresh incision and what they handed me looked like a maxi pad and said hold this. I asked for the doctor and they said oh he left for the day. I could not believe the disrespect and lack of caring I experienced. I was barely awake and they sent me home. They sent me home with an open wound from surgery!!!! I can’t believe this place is still open!

This is the worst hospital ever. The front desk is rude. And the nurses are so rude was saying “ u gotta get that kid out of here , it’s our policy “ she could of said it nicely and my mother in law wasn’t in the room yet so why we had to leave because the other lady downstairs said I can bring my daughter with me so yeah. They need to correct the policy. And get new ppl with respect and great attitude. Every other hospital lets u bring your kids inside so why not do the same.

If I could I'd give it 0 stars. This place gets worse and worse as each year passes. I lost a very close friend because of the doctors just wanted to rush and not examine correctly. This place has the rudest doctors. Doctors are suppose to save lives and help those who are in need of medical attention. To not diagnose correctly over not being vaccinated is crazy. And to try to literally force your patients to be vaccinated is even more wild. Most of your doctors and nurses Should be fired or retrained before you kill more people over your negligence. Do better

I only went here for an MRI. The staff and nurses were very helpful in directing us to radiology. The radiologist was very detailed and put a rush on my results to my Doctor to be reviewed. I was called within 30 minutes with a diagnosis. Not knowing for sure was agonizing. This was very efficient and effective teamwork.

The doctors in the ER and staff all great but the place is a dump,I would wish they hurry with the renovation, the floor look dirty and some attending rooms have toilets in them right next to bed, I dont think thats very higienic, but like I said staff is great doctors are great,

This is the worst hospital on the planet. It's DIRTY and so outdated. The cafeteria closes on the weekend at 2 pm, so you can't even join your friend or family member for supper... Not that you would want to, the food is not good at all. The staff calls it "roadkill". As for parking, it's the only hospital around here you have to pay and it's SUPER EXPENSIVE. When they built the lot they said it would be free after the construction was paid off... What a joke. More lies from the Catholic church. If I could rate it less than one star, I would. I would NEVER go to this hospital for care, you might get sicker or infected from the filth. They also keep the rooms super hot, which is real nice for germs... I guess they need you to stay longer, they must need the money.

I had my first baby at the birthplace here at sacred heart and it was a horrible experience. I heard bad things about this hospital before but chose to give birth here since my doctor only used this facility and I didn't want to change doctors since he knew my whole medical situation and pregnancy. First of all, the nurses were mostly nice but we're very rough with my baby after he was born stuffing his face into my breast forcing him to breast feed and making me very uncomfortable to the point that I told them I didn't want there help breastfeeding which at that point they switched my nurse. They didn't take pictures of my baby after being born, after circumcision of my baby they put a gauze that looked like a cast on his penis and told me it would fall off on its own when later on a week later my son was at risk for infection and my pediatric on call nurse had to instruct me on how to remove the gauze that stank and reeked on my poor baby and she told me they should have removed it before I left the hospital. The birthplace at Sacred Heart is not a place that I was happy or satisfied with. I am looking into further measures into making sure no mother has to go through an experience the way I did.

I have had two major surgeries and chemo treatments at Sacred Heart. I travel an hour to get there just because the doctors, nurses, staff and the facility are fantastic. They are friendly, concerned, on top of treatments, the facility is clean. I usually have a minimum wait time, only minutes. I give them a 5 star.

Horrible experience with my mother on the older adult psych floor! Nurses and tech are mean and abusive to the patients! All the nurses and techs are on their phones and not paying attention to the patients! Case workers are verbal abusive to patients too! The floor smells like mold and roaches crawling on the floor! Do not recommend bringing your love one to that floor!

I really wish I could give a better rating but I went there with a friend of mine and they are very sensitive about their weight. The nurse told them that they had to be weighed no exceptions. Which was fine the nurse covered up the scale and didn’t say the numbers out loud. On top of that when my friend was discharged they were handed paperwork and on the first page it said their weight very clearly. My friend has an eating disorder and this knowledge of their weight made their conditions so much worse.

This place is filthy and disgusting, I went into the emergency room and there were blood spots on the wall and on the floors. There was dust everywhere even on the equipment they use on the patients. the nurses were so unfriendly you would ask him for a pillow and you felt like you were asking for the world. This place needs to be torn down and rebuilt.I will never go to this emergency room or hospital ever again neither would I recommend it to friends or family or anyone that's considering going there. The pictures that you see below is what I have taken at the ER room. Horrible!

I am an employee of St Lukes. I had a same-day procedure at the Sacred Heart Campus. It was perfect. From the moment I walked in the door until they wheeled me out it was exceptional. Preop, operative, and postop care was first rate. My surgeon, anesthetist and the nurses were all wonderful. Even though I work elsewhere within the system, as a patient, this campus is now my favorite

So surprised at how rude the nurses were. If you asked any questions, they were on the defense; didn't seem like skilled nurses. Never had an experience like this at any hospital. Had a better experience at LeHigh Valley-Muhlenburgh.

When I was in the psych unit for schizophrenia they were so nice and friendly and they took such great care of me as a patient. Only things that were negative to me were the beds were uncomfortable.. which I mean.. it's a hospital what do you want lol. And there wasn't much food.. I was still hungry often and I was only a 5 foot 5 female at 145 lbs so I'm just saying. But while i was there, i went absolutely bonkers at times thinking people were watching me and going so crazy and they would take me and sit me down and actually talk to me and calm me so I knew I was okay.. and they gave me all of my meds on time and they even gave me my meds that were narcotics that they normally dont allow on the floor.. this was last October so it wasn't very long ago. And they helped me through the absolute worst time of my life. I can not thank you guys enough honestly. Thank you for helping me get my family back..♡

The most filthiest ER that I have ever seen. My nurse was very nice but the ER Doctor had the worse bedside manners. He looked and behaved like he didn't give two sh*ts. Wow ! Very arrogant not at all friendly. I came 8n with strep throat and had to wait hours for the results. Apparantly ST Lukes is taking over so all the labs have to be sent out. How ridiculous! I would NEVER recommend this hospital to anyone. It needs to be torn down and rebuilt. And they need a different ER doctor.

Physicians at Sacred Heart Hospital especially outpatient speciality! Was able to get an appointment this month! Other outpatient facilities it is usually months! I was impressed on the comprehensive interview with review of old medical records from previous providers. My health issues now, with plan of care! In a wonderful detailed discharge summary of today's office visit for my records.

OK so the residents that are paid by the government and record 80hr weeks but work 100+ hour weeks. Some shifts OVER 24 hrs at a time. No way they can provide good care when their Doctors are falling asleep. Even when the doctor's are great .

I needed to find a new OB-GYN doc...even though with my Blue Cross insurance I had many choices, I sought out Sacred Heart first because I have always had great care there, having two major surgeries done there in the past 10 years with excellent results. My scheduling for Dr. Halibey went smoothly and got an appointment quicker than I thought was possible. The office staff was very pleasant, check in on a new electronic device was quick and large enough that any person of any age could handle; it was much better than having to hand write anything as they ask you about meds and previous medical backround in the exam room. Casey was my medical assistant and was cheerful and friendly and I felt very comfortable. Dr. Halibey was wonderful; very gentle, caring, great bedside manner and didn't rush through my exam time with her. She spent time talking to me before and after my exam and explained everything she was about to do during my exam, prior to doing it. I would refer anyone to her and that office and have done so already.

I stood in the hospital for 7 days and I can't Complain, because I was treated so well and, I felt like I was part of the staff, but the only thing that I don't really missed was the food and the choices they gave us weren't much, but the staff, and the social worker's, the doctor's, the whole staff around all the department's I visited made me feel like I was part of the best care I ever had. Thank you SACRED HEART..............

Absolute worst place to go in a medical emergency. I was brought into the emergency room by paramedics and discharged less then 20 mins after and told I’m free to leave. Mind you I was unable to walk in due to injuring my back but since there was no broken bones they stated they were unable to do anything and just gave me 3 pills. Never had an experience like this in my life from caregivers who’s job is to treat patients. I would never go back and recommend everyone to any other hospital but. What’s even crazy is the janitor on the way out seen some of the situation and said they have a bad reputation for treating people like they aren’t worth a damn and half way treatments. What a waste of time and insurance money. Also tell paramedics you choose any other hospital but this one because they will bring you here if you don’t tell them. They would have 0 stars from me but 1 Star was the least available option. Not even to mention the bed I was in had old dried blood on the metal bars in numerous locations from a previous patient no telling how long ago. Obviously they aren’t as sanitary as a hospital should be and absolutely will get reported to the CAP management team as soon as possible. My wife is a nurse for a hospital and I have a lot better understanding on how a hospital should be kept and treated. The fact that they didn’t even look at my back, touch it or anything to even see the swelling seemed as if I was just a nobody that did not matter. As I asked for a wheelchair the nurse says to me “your 28 years old and too young not to be able to walk” as if my pain didn’t matter and I’m supposed to deal with it. Made me feel like I’m unhealthy and don’t take care of myself. When she finally brings the chair she pulls it in the front of the bed and says I’m going to have to walk to the chair as if I’m not supposed to get any help. If finding someone to sue was my intention I was able to find many reasons to gain off of the experience here because soo much is out of order and it’s a risk being here as it is already. Again I’m just totally disgusted. If your not a catholic I suggest you go anywhere else in the world. Obviously they treat their own the best with their corruptful ways cause if your not similar to them then you can only expect the worse and you’d be a victim yourself of such treatment as well. Very judgemental hospital without the words but the actions clearly show. And of course the “owner” will copy and paste that same fake sympathetic response that you place under everyone’s comment and still won’t change a thing after years of hearing the same issues in your hospital because you really don’t care as your pockets are getting full off of these people that really need the attention from REAL caring people that only favor the Alt Left in Trumps words. No thanks to you or that scam that your running. Everything will get reported to the best of my ability indefinitely.

I was at there hospital four times in one month for stomach pain and was let go each time and was told nothing was wrong with me around the third time i had to suggest antibiotics and he finally gave me advil and antibiotics which took away the pain it turned out from another hospital that had candida and my family doctor told me i had leaky gut and gave me probiotics to hill up the peptic ulcers that i had gotten do to poor service the doctors had given me i believe the damage wouldn't have been so bad if i got the proper help from the emergency staff i never been treated so bad in any other hospital like that one i felt like what was the purpose of that hospital that sits in the heart of Allentown to such bad service everybody is not coming there to try to scheme drugs like they think not to be shut down or something every worker in there look like there in there just for a check and milking the clock most of the nurses doesn't no how to use the equipment i sat hooked up to a iv for two hours and told my nurse numerous times that it wasn't moving and she replied yes it is you dont know what your talking about come to find out it was never moving had to ask for a doctor just to get the iv working sacred heart needs to be put in order

A great place to have a bowel movement... highly recommend it if you need privacy and can't find a place nearby. But don't admit yourself into their hospital, you come in with one problem and leave with that one and two more, and a unreasonable bill!!!

2 hours for a blood test? Receptionist needs to learn customer service and professionalism, rather then be condescending and rude! Please! 2.5 later and I am still here! It’s only a blood test!

My mother was diagnosed with early Alzheimer's and we needed to get an appointment with a Neurologist. We waited two weeks and her primary doctor (not Sacred Heart) called us and said that Sacred Heart could not do anything else for my mother and they did not want to see her. WHO DENIES SEEING A PATIENT?!?!?! My mother hasn't even started going through the whole process of her diagnosis and they already 'couldn't do anything else' for her. That doesn't even make sense. We are going elsewhere, because this hospital is a joke. Thank you for not caring about my mother Sacred Heart. I guess it all works out though, because reading other reviews, apparently this hospital has poor customer service and is dirty.

I CAME 5 days ago AND THEY TREATED ME WITH MEDICAL MALPRACTICE . All because I am showing trrrible symptoms of something UNEXPLAINED AND UNKNOWN in the med world. They refused to give me an IV , vital check urine check etc they left me in the room Unchecked for 8-9 hours to then try to kick me out bc when I asked for a the dr they gave an excuse and I tried to record the bad treatment. I felt unheard unsafe and threatened. They did NO BLOOD WORK and Treated me with FEAR. Which caused no medical attention. They Processed a quick and unsafe discharge . I was passing out and yellow and disoriented and they abused me . LAWSUIT !

😠 I am FURIOUS with the level of care at this facility. My boyfriend had a surgery today. We've been here since 6 am. They didn't offer to feed him at all after the surgery. We didn't know if he needed to stay for overnight observation but there would be no nurse on staff after 11 pm??? In a surgery c...

👍👍 I was in a car accident about 2 years ago. I have a permanent lower back injury resulting in chronic pain. I went to other doctors that said that there was nothing they could do. I went to Dr. Levinstein and he said that he could do the procedure that the other doctors wouldn't do, they wouldn't do...
