Food tastes like homemade which is good, more on the greasy side. Many people came after watching the Netflix show fresh fried and crispy. However the toast ravioli isn’t living up the hype, too hard on the outside. My waitress is very ambient, however, the attendant and bartender’s service can be improved.

Zia’s On The Hill Is Awesome! The food was very good. The interior was decorated beautifully with all the Italian Scenery. The service was good. Without doubt I strongly recommend Zia’s because they are great! Have a great day!

Great Italian food here in St. Louis. Most entrees come with a salad and bread for the table. Parking is available on the street. I went there with some friends but there were couples and family dining out on a Saturday as well. Our server was friendly and very attentive to our table. If you enjoy quality Italian food this is the place to go in St. Louis

Met my cousin in town from San Diego and she suggested Italian, so I had to take her to Zia’s! Make a reservation. House staff so friendly! Everything is crafted with attention to detail! Toasted ravioli, house salad and Shrimp Scampi Cappelini! Good choices.

Visited here because of the show “Fresh fried and crispy.” We had a great time here and will be willing to come back if we visit St Louis again! My husband and I arrived around 8pm on Friday and waited about 20mins to get in. Ordered both arancini and toasted ravioli. They were both great. I liked arancini more because I enjoyed the combination of the creamy fried rice ball with tomato sauce. Toasted ravioli was more for meat lovers. The dressing on the house salad was just so amazing and a great refresher after the fried appetizer. Definitely recommended it. We also had Mostaccioli Al Forno. The portion was very big and we almost couldn’t finish it. It was very creamy with my favorite baked cheese and some veggies. People think of BBQ more than Italian food when it comes to visiting St Louis. However, I think this was our favorite food during our trip in St Louis. I am glad we came here!

We went to Zia's based on the recommendation of a friend who grew up in St. Louis. She said it was her favorite restaurant on The Hill. And she said that for good reason. Everything about our experience was great. The service was great. The drinks were great. The food ... was great. It's not super high-end, which means it's more affordable. But you won't be missing out on a thing. There are a bunch of great places to eat on The Hill, but if you don't try Zia's, you're missing out.

We visited Zia’s because of the toasted ravioli we saw on the Netflix show. The neighborhood is beautiful and populated with Italian restaurants. However, once inside Zia’s we were greeted by two hostesses that were unpleasant and appeared uninterested in providing a warm greeting. The wait was approx an hour and some change, but that’s to be expected on a Friday night, not an issue there. When we finally were seated we waited about 10 min before the server approached. The servers initial greeting to us was, “you guys ready to order?” Never provided his name. Most times when he would refill our water or bring bread out, we’d say thank you and he’d just walk away without a response. The toasted ravioli was definitely not as seen on tv and definitely not worth the trip. I would absolutely not recommend Zia’s due to the lack of customer service and subpar food. St. Louis otherwise is a beautiful city with lots to do, so the trip itself aside from the Zia’s experience was great.

This is a classic St Louis restaurant on Hill.. Service was really spot on and attentive to making sure we had our drinks to getting the orders in and freshly cooked Italian food. We had a great time and celebrated a birthday at the same time. All the dishes were really good size portions and the place is so much larger than one would have expected. Sorry, didn't get the chance to take a photo of the toasted ravioli's and bresd just to start the dinner off right. And course we all had some leftover to take home...

Only reason I’m giving it a 4 on service is because the hostess was very rude when we arrived early for our reservation. Otherwise, the food was good and service was good. It’s about what you would expect at an Italian restaurant, nothing special.

If you are looking for authentic Italian Cuisine this is the place. Service was top notch, food was amazing. I will definitely be stoping here when I'm back in St. Louis.

Great Italian place! Make sure to order the fried ravioli! My aperol spritz was delicious, and a perfect antidote for the 100 degree heat. House salad and dressing was an excellent mix of sweet and savory, with plenty of cheese. I ordered the chicken with mushrooms and prosciutto. The sauce was both creamy and garlicky with a hint of sweetness, and it had a nice burn from the red pepper flake. The side pasta with garlic butter and oil was almost as good as my entree! Perfectly cooked shells complimented the main dish well. Left very happy and full.

UPDATE/EDIT: Manager proactively reached out to me to apologize, which I appreciate (and which you do not see happening too much these days from other places.) Food has always been good in the past, so I can understand how anyone can have an off day. Was having a bad day myself which I'm sure led to some of my dissatisfaction. We will be giving them our business again in the future. My daughter loves the portabella ravioli. ---------------------------------------- Three issues with my recent visit: 1. Your website and phone system both state that curbside pickup is available. Submitted online order, went to pick it up, called as instructed by the email I received and was abruptly told curbside is not offered and I have to go to the bar to get my food. 2. Bar staff abrupt and rude when I went in to get my food. And it was not because they were busy. There was only one man sitting at the bar. 3. Ordered their Friday fried fish special and it was raw! (see photo)

Great Italian food. Never a bad time here. The interior is slightly dated but the food makes up for it. If you new to STL and want to try food on the hill this is definitely on the list to do.

This was place was amazing. The waiter that served us had a ton of tables and still gave us great service along with explaining everything on the menu. All of the food had great flavor and came at quicker than expected. Will be back in the future!

Our reservation was for 4:30. We arrived on time and were seated immediately. The service was okay. Both dishes were good, but my pasta had a little too much sauce. They were very crowded as we were leaving. Reservations advised!

Stopped here for lunch because the rating was so high, and were disappointed. Hostess at the front of house was rude, never smiled, and we were greeted with only “How many?” And “inside or out?”. She seated us and walked away without a word. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable. I ordered the lasagna special and husband ordered the beef ravioli. The lasagna special came with a salad that not only included wilted iceberg lettuce, but the end stalk of the head of lettuce as well. Not appetizing. The lasagna was mediocre, served in a pool of creamy red sauce and overloaded with cheese. It was difficult to make out the piece of lasagna. The beef ravioli, however, was delicious. The sauce was flavorful, with a hint of spice on the back end. Meals with cokes and tip (because the server was very good!!) was $53. If we were local to the area, I would not return.

Zia's is amazing! We rolled out of there...Joseph was our cuisine guide and he was absolutely fantastic! Very knowledgeable and helpful. I'd say he is one of the best that has helped me in a verrryyyy long time! We had a big group and they had no problem getting us in and seating us right away.

Diana was a sweet heart, I have a weird allergy and they didn't make me feel bad for having an allergy which was amazing. I have never had Italian food so amazing ever! I loved everything about that place and we are from Florida. So we might just have to come to St Louis later just for this food! Thank you everyone!!

The Hill is full of great restaurants. Zias has been around for a while. We stuck to the usual Italian foods, and they were all good. Next time I'll try some more specialized dishes.

The ratings were good so we were pretty excited to try this place because we were craving Italian. We ordered Alfredo and spaghetti with meat balls. The portions were very large. The spaghetti was good. The Alfredo was alright, it came like a soup - I choose to add chicken which was mistake. It tasted dry with no seasoning like it was from a can. The waiter said they prepared their chicken from chicken breast and cooked it separately and added it in but it was just not good. The service was very abrupt and the busser asked us if we wanted our plates cleared then had me hand them every single plate on your table and stack them myself, including the silverware. The atmosphere was very dark and there are stairs directly when you come in, which is not wheelchair accessible.

We waited 1 hour 20 minutes to get a bar seat on a Sat night. The waiting room was absolutely insane. Taking the bar seats were a huge mistake but we were just so hungry. People were shoving into us, the bartenders were too busy to do much for us & the food took longer. It was also freezing. The fettuccini alfredo portion was huge. It was good not great. The steak was 7/10. The salad we got because people raved about but the dressing was way too sweet. The bread was good but the oil had no flavor. The red pasta side was also good not great. I’ve had better toasted ravioli. I feel this place was highly overrated sadly.

We came on a weekday evening and it wasn’t too busy. We ordered a cocktail (can’t remember the name), arancini, a house salad, baked pasta, and the seafood ravioli Pro: -our waiter was really attentive, good customer service! -all the food was very tasty, will DEFINITELY come back again for the seafood ravioli! Everything had great flavor and came out hot. Con: -the cocktail I got tasted more like watered down juice so I’d probably stick to wine here Overall great place to go for dinner!

Honestly if it wasn’t for Netflix I would of never would of gotten the chance to meet and feed myself to this place. But I am glad I did! We are residence of NWA it isn’t far and we live to eat meet and travel when can. My appetizers I got two, the fried raviolis and this huge mozzarella sticks bricks looking likes which I am so sorry for not knowing the correct name. The appetizers were fire 110% bomb. The salad tough call me crazy or perhaps I’m not but this salad it’s 10xs better than cesar salad or any vinegar salad in my travels. I grabbed the fettuccine Alfredo and my husband got the carbonara and they both were great on flavor great on size great on pasta texture and cheese and everything. Out of those two I would choose the carbonara. Definitely grab yourself a wine or two and the bread do not forget to tip it on the sauce and olive oil. Great chef great crew atmosphere and location clean and well taken care of. Will definitely come back even if it takes me 5 hrs frm home.

Got to enjoy great Italian food on the Hill, and this came recommend from a friend. It didn’t disappoint! We knew it was a busy Friday night but we showed up a little early and they were able to get us in fairly quickly. Great staff, quick service even though busy and the food was awesome! Huge portions so if you leave hungry it’s your fault!

I rarely give five stars for anything, but this place was great. Our server was outstanding. We had a good time. We sat out on the sidewalk. The weather was perfect as well. My granddaughter's ordered Pomodoro Fritti: tomatoes breaded, fried, and topped with Italian cheese. They also ordered a cecilian salad and Penne Vodka: which is a dish with pasta and shrimp and some type of yellow cheese sauce. It looked very good. My wife ordered a penne dish with Italian sausage. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. All the servings were huge, more than we could eat.

Excellent! First timer and it was great. Our sever (“Virgo” 👍🏾), made the service even better. My Bake Mostaccioli smiled at me.

I truly have no clue how this restaurant has the rating it has. I’m convinced they are buying positive 4/5 star reviews. As soon as you walk in, you are hit with the stench of old mildewed carpet. I ordered a “martini” they did not make correctly and they made no effort to make it the proper way even after acknowledging it was not made right the first time. We had planned to have dinner, but our drinks and appetizers were so bad that we asked for our bill, I paid for a drink I didn’t drink and went to another neighboring Italian restaurant that was excellent! Do not waste your time patronizing this establishment…trust me!

My first dining experience here was delightful, but unfortunately, my second visit didn't meet my expectations. The hostess on the phone wasn't welcoming, and though we were fine with the 35-minute wait, we specifically requested a table, not the bar, which seemed to be misunderstood. The bartender didn't attend to me for about 10 minutes, couldn’t order anything from bar. The server was okay. The bread served during lunch was different from my previous visit, lacking the delicious garlic and butter. Both the veal and steak had some issues, and the atmosphere could use some renovation.

I love the hill, home away from home each time I go back. This last visit it has been almost 35 years since I came back home ❤️to my wonderful surprise, nothing has really changed. The stomping ground is still just as fresh in my memory as the day I made those memories. The hill will always be home to me. Zia's in my opinion is one of the best and one of my top 3. Tanto amore❤️

We had dinner on a Sat nite. Jon was a wonderful server! It was our 1st time at Zia's and had heard the food was great. It was good but what we ordered I wouldn't say it was great. Ordered baked mostaccioli which had an sweater than expected sauce. Meatballs were tender but needed a little more flavor. I had chicken Parmigiano. Chicken was OK. Sauce was pretty good but the chicken breast was a little over cooked and not particularly flavorful. The side of pasta with butter/garlic sauce was the best dish of the night...along with the warm yummy fresh bread. Will probably come back for lunch to try other dishes.

03 Jan 2024: This place is VERY GOOD!! You get plenty for the price. Joe (Server) was EXCELLENT. The Spaghetti w/meat sauce & meatballs was perfect. The Braised Beef Ravioli was AMAZING!! The seafood pasta dish was a bit on the salty side, but great!! Each dish was a very generous serving!
