Vaiana James DDS

Dentist Oral surgeon

😠 Very unfriendly. Arrogant. Not enough explanations. No clear conversation about what and how he would do things. Not really trustworthy to me at all. I’m allergic to all „Caine“ local anesthetic thats why I needed an oral surgeon and he tells me he would also use a -caine anesthesia, makes no sense... People often mention oral, surgeon, staff, teeth,

Best painless dentist to date and I’m old! His Injections are absolutely painless. I detest injections So this is even a better recommendation. Dr. Vaiana is a master of his trade. Just finished my second dental implant. This Dr. is as close to painless As I could find. Painless is very important to me! A+ .

Heard that were calling off their appointments and that the staff is frustrated about it. Not trusting his work. Sorry

After days of extreme jaw pain on and off along with a string of medical appointments to address it, I was unfortunate enough to get referred to this office. None of the staff wore masks or PPE (other than the surgeon wearing gloves) despite the current pandemic. Diane the nurse was by far the rudest person I have ever met in any form of healthcare setting - she was openly irritated that I was there for treatment from the second I arrived and seemed to want to make me as uncomfortable as possible so I would leave quickly and ask no questions. To my surprise, Dr. Vaiana saw me for literally around a minute total and ended the appointment saying it would “eventually go away” and “good luck” with no actual diagnosis or discussion other than a “maybe” about a joint issue. If you have any serious oral health concern, go elsewhere, anywhere else at all.

If I could give zero stars I would. Went in for a dental emergency. Had to have a consult which was set for november but they did it sooner because of the pain I was in with a broken tooth. Doctor did not seem to care about my anesthesia concerns. The staff was appallingly rude and condescending. They refused to move non emergent patients around for a dental emergency, meaning I would wait over a month for the extraction. I left sobbing in pain and upset, feeling like they didnt care whatsoever about my issue. I called someone in rockford. This was on a friday, the place in rockford got me in the following tuesday and extracted the tooth. I can taste my food now, im not in pain, with the exception of where the tooth was extracted. Rooney took my wisdom teeth out and one spot didnt even heal right, so I was already a bit cautious coming to Dr Vianna. I in good faith could not recommend this office to anyone.

From the moment I walked in the staff and the doctor were arrogant and rude. It took me a month to get the appointment. The dr. spent three minutes with me and charged us $78 for the consultation. We were told it would be another month and a half before the surgery could be performed.

I was a little weary, I suffer from severe dental anxiety. No one was excited for my 7:45 appointment! But after getting checked in and getting into the back room the three ladies who were helping me where super nice and amazing and helped comfort me as I was already crying from my anxiety. They were so kind and put in the iv and we chatted untill doc came in the room patted me on the shoulder and told me he was gunna start the anesthetic. I said okay and boom next thing you know I’m awake, wisdom teeth gone! Good experience. My anxiety was the worst part of the experience! The staff was genuinely kind and helpful.

My mother was supposed to have 10 teeth pulled before surgery for oral cancer. He gave her no sedation and no nitrous, only novacaine. Her jaw had a very large tumor with a crack already in it. She was so traumatized after five teeth out that she had a panic attack and ended up in the ER. She almost backed out of her large surgery. She is 87. He could have given her something to take the edge off. Even nitrous would have helped or even having a more compassionate bedside manner. Would not recommend for the elderly or those with cancer. Go somewhere else if you need sedation. Look for an oral surgeon group with an anesthesiologist. This group does not have one.

I have been to doc several times in the past 5 years , unfortunately family of bad teeth, but havent been to see him for at least the last year.. but what i need to get out there is that even though doc may not have as good of bed side manners and skills as other doctors or professionals , he still has excellent oral surgery experience and i personally would choose him over pretty much any other oral surgeon.. and his staff is fine as well.. i think if you go in with a bad or negative attitude than that is exactly how you are treated in return.. my grandmother as well as other family always feel that if u go un with a positive attitude than that is how you are treated in return. the typical saying is to kill them with kindness.. maybe just a few words of advice for anyone needing to see an oral surgeon.. they are not there to be ur therapist and spend time with you.. you as the patient go go an oral surgeon cuz you are dealing with a painful tooth or teeth thar need pulled out.. so the doc comes in, takes a look, exams the job, and numbs the area with those horrible 4 inch needles thar are the most painful things ever, i never get the option to get nitrous oxide instead of novocaine filled needles. then, he does the job, you get ur after extraction instructions and thats it. you are not there to make friends with each other.. hope this helps anyone that may feel leery about going to see doc Vaiana after reading a possible misleading comment or review. .. that is all.. good day to all.. JUST HAD AN EXPERIENCE TODAY WITH OFFICE PERSONS.. I HAVE A ROTTEN TOOTH THAT NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OUT.. I CALLED AND WAS ON HOLD FOR LIKE 3 MINUTES OR SO, THEN I SAID WHAT I NEEDED AND TO SAY THE KEAST THE OERSON I TALKED TO NEEDED A NAP OR SOMETHING, CUZ MAN OH MAN, SHE WAS A BIT SNAPPY AND CRABBY.. I HAVE NOT SEEN OR HEARD THAT B4, SO I WAS A BIT JAW DROPPED, AND THEN TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO GO SEE A DENTIST FOR AN XRAY AND REFERREL B4 I COULD COME TO THEIR OFFICE, SO THEY KNOW WHAT THEIR LOOKING AT B4 ITS TAKEN OUT.. I THINK I EXPKAINED IT VERY WELL, BUT THE WOMAN SAID SNOTTY THAT IT DOESNT MATTER WE HAVE TO HAVE AN XRAY AND REFERRAL FROM A GENERAL DENTIST B4 THEY WILL DO ANYTHING.. OMG!! SO, NOW I HAVE TO MAKE AN APPT AT A GDS, TO HAVE THEM DO AN EXAM AND XRAY, WHEN ITS PRETTY OBVIOUS THAT THE TOOTH IS A GONER, AND SPEND MONEY THAT COULD BE GOING TO OTHER THINGS.. ITS A WASTED APPT.. THERE GOING TO CHARGE ME THE OFFICE VISIT, THE EXAM, THE XRAYS, ETC.. SEE A WASTED AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR A TOOTH THAT OBVIOUSLY BEEDS PULLED AND THERE IS NO OTHER WAY YOU CAN PREDICT WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE FRICKEN STRUCTURE OF THAT TOOTH, CUZ OF A PULLING.. RIDICULOUS.. THOUGHT I. WOULD THROW IN THAT UPDATE ABOUT MY RECENT EXPERIENCE, RATHER THAN ONE FROM OVER A YEAR AGO.. NOW I SEE WHAT OTHERS ARE TALKING ABOUT , WHEN THEY SAY STUFF ABOUT OFFICE PERSONS.. YIKES, IS RIGHT.. GOOD LUCK ANY FUTURE CALLERS AND PATIENTS.. GOES TO SHOW YOU THAT YOU CANT RELY ON WHAT UVE EXPERIENCED IN THE PAST, BUT THAT CURRENT STUFF IS DEFINITELY MORE ACCURATE..
