Have been going to this mid size farmers market on Thursday nights for many years. Many vendors. Local produce 🌽🍅 to handcrafted items to food trucks and live music. On top of the many small shops.

The farmers market was a good time, however, it has gotten so crowded and big that its not enjoyable. If you cannot get down there until 6:00 pm, forget it, you won't find a place to park anywhere, unless you want to walk several long blocks. The area near the bandstand, gets so crowded, that you will need to plan to be there by no later than 5:00 or so as the WDM area has a very large demographic of retired folks that can be there that early and get a place to plant your chairs. The growers have caught the inflation buzz, and the produce is expensive. I will not come again as I work and cannot get there until after 6:00 pm and cannot get anywhere close to park, and the crowds with their dogs and strollers doesn't make for any enjoyable time. I will not recommend and will find less crowded markets to shop in Iowa. I'm sure its nice for the shops, but way too crowded to be enjoyable for a nice evening to relax.

Hands down the best spot in the state for local shopping and dining!! Adorable boutique stores with clothing, gifts, Iowa treasures, and more! Absolutely charming during the winter holidays, right out of a Hallmark movie, and bustling during the Summer with live music, entertainment, and Farmers Markets every Thursday!

Visited Valley Junction on a Thursday evening when they have their farmers market. Lots of variety of items, lots of good treats! And a band to listen to. You may have to drive around a bit to find parking, but it's only a short walk to the junction, I've never had a problem (been there twice this year). Some shops are open during this time as well. And if not, plan to stop back during day working hours because you will find that one 'special' store you love!

Had a great time at the weekly farmers market. Lots of vendors out and the shops are all open a little later. Good music great food and great atmosphere. Hope they keep this going for a long time to come.

I walk through almost everyday sometimes twice a day! I absolutely love Thursday nights, all the little shops and the cool restaurants 😍 😎 👌 I try to be involved in most of the events that happen because they really are pretty awesome. The crowd is not ever out of control and rarely anyone rude. Its one place I actually do look forward to at least a few times a week (even just to look) keep up the amazing work!

I love coming here on Thursdays for the farmer's market! It's a fun way to support local vendors which is important for the area's economy. There are usually a few performers along the street as well as a band at the pavilion. The additional food trucks along 5th add to the plethora of good food! Love the little bakers and gift vendors along the way! Great way to draw attention to the brick and mortar locations there.

Love the farmers market! There is a band that plays in an area that is saved for bring your own chair sitting. Love the fact that many businesses stay open later for this event. There are a ton of food trucks and the restaurants are open as well. This is a good 2 hour event if all the vendors are looked at. They have a little bit of everything.

We love the free concerts on Thursdays & the farmer's market!! This is such a quaint little community & we absolutely love the unique stores, great restaurants, & just the small town, historic feel to this community!! If you have never been to Historic Valley Junction, put it on your must see list!!
