Cottonwood has some of the best coffee in town. I started coming to cottonwood back in college when they were located in Waterloo. Back then, my friends and I would go there to work on our business ideas for opening a music studio. The owner would come over to learn more about what we were doing and our passions and even offered the upstairs as a potential solution to our ideas. The people running this place are awesome! The food is a1 and the coffee is top notch. You can get bags of their coffee at Hy-Vee but stop in to their actual location and buy direct (I’m sure they make more money when you do it that way). Thanks for existing!

I absolutely love this place!! The warm cozy environment and friendly staff make me a regular customer. The coffee is amazing and the food is unlike anything you can get anywhere around. It's a great place to meet friends or for business. And they have board games available if you're there for leisure. Definitely recommend you check out this hidden treasure!

They took us in 5 min before kitchen closed. Food was delicious.

Cottonwood Canyon was a cute find while visiting our son at UNI. First off, it is much smaller than the wide angle photos make it appear to be. It's a cute, cozy little cafe. During our visit there was only one staff member working. She was relatively friendly. It appeared that she did everything, from making the coffee beverages to preparing our meals; mine was a chicken curry rice bowl and my wife's was a grilled cheese sandwich. The food was pretty good and arrived quickly, as we were the only ones there at 5pm on Saturday (Veterans Day).

The breakfast burrito was great, and the atmosphere was perfect. Food came out in the expected time for how honestly fantastic it was. Can’t wait to try more on the menu.

Yum! Our food was fresh and was definitely made to order. There are many options for customization, and the front staff are wonderful at assisting you in ordering. My grilled cheese had delicious bread and the cheese combo is delightful. Others in my party were equally pleased with their wrap and bowl. This is a must for those looking to eat lunch on the healthier side in Cedar Falls!

Excellent meal! Portions were great; loved the combination of steak, eggs, potatoes, peppers & sweet onions with feta cheese. It's quaint atmosphere, to include soft music, just enhanced a thoroughly enjoyable experience! The coffee was also exceptional with many flavors to choose from!

Wonderful! Love the food. Filling and slso healthy. Delicious sauces. Had the breakfast Scrambler. Steak and potatoes were also delicious as well as the Caribbean Pork Breakfast. All of us want to try their rice bowl lunches. Can sit out on the patio or eat in.

We waited nearly 30 minutes for our food...and they weren't busy. Not much for atmosphere. Restaurant is in an old house with fabulous woodwork, but it's very cramped inside. You have to bus your own table when done.

Absolutely amazing breakfast. The sandwich was perfectly done and presented amazing. Great service, highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!!

We have been here couple of times. Tried curried chicken wrap, jerk chicken rice bowl, jerk chicken all of them were really good. Coffees were good too.
