New pioneer has organic, fresh & good variety of fruit & vegetables. They a very good quality of meat. If you want to buy organic groceries or meat you should definitely try this place. They have organic baby food as well. They have a bakery and restaurant aslo.

My definition of a category 5 food emergency has been refined to include a New Pioneer Co-op moving close enough to overwhelm my diet. So much temptation!

It is fun just to walk around this store. Their selection is amazing. Everything we purchased was fantastic. The young man at the check out was not friendly. My husband said when leaving, "A for merchandise, F for customer service 😔". This was at the Coralville store. The Iowa City store (we visited both same day) had fantastic, friendly checkers at the register.

Am new to the area. After finding the Food Co-op, I felt like being home. Many of the foods there are foods that I ate at home. The food is very good. Have gotten other products there. Visit often. Would recommend this place to anyone that likes the types of food the Co-op sells.

Ultra-Premium and niche selection, "big store" convenience. I am now a "Late July" salsa addict. On-site cooked chicken breasts were freaking delicious and convenient. Makes it easier when you are trying to reduce unnecessary meat consumption (personal decision, not promoting 'agenda'). On previous trip I purchased on-site cooked and sliced roast beef. Lower salt made it easy to enhance flavor at home w/red-wine vinegar, veggies (I'll add the veggies next time, promise), and rice for personal take on stir fry. Best bananas I've ever tasted.

This is probably my new favorite place to come when I am in Iowa City for my many UofI hospital appointments. The selection is incredible and I LOVE that they carry Herbivorous Butcher "meats"!

I have used new pioneer co-op quite a bit both downtown Iowa City and on the strip in coralville. At the time I was calling to see if they could order something they were very efficient very fast and quick with my information they couldn't help me but they sure tried hard they're very nice people and willing to do what they can to help you . There is a $65 lifetime cost if you want to get in quotes member prices. The public can shop at the stores without paying the price and just paying the amount on the shelf marked. You get some kind of a discount after that but I don't remember how much oh and another discount if you use EBT

Salad bar reopens, but options slim. Good on Iowa city for supporting a food coop though.
