What an experience! This is really a MUST SEE area to enjoy a sacred place for several Indian tribes. The Free admission and easy to navigate trails make this a very cost effective way to wear out the kids and the dog (allowed on trails with a leash). $8.00 per car load for a 24 hour day pass is a real bargain. Plan on spending several hours. With the Visitor center included with a video and cultural area and than the trails. A good time for all.

Trails are easy to walk. Many benches sprinkled about if one needs a rest. Multiple trails to choose from. We'll definitely return in summer season to see blooming flowers.

Great park for hiking! Awesome views and variety of trails. Skill level moderate to medium, medium due to some incline in places.

Trails are amazing, most of them are covered by big beautiful trees. Some trails are open grasslands (mowed trail) You can walk beside the Big Sioux River! Wildlife can usually be spotted. There are outhouses along the way 😁 Visitor center is small but interesting and informative, movie theater shows shirt films all day. We love going here! ❤

A beautiful visitors center and wonderful trails. During our visit we we're lucky enough to see a bald eagle from observation deck number 2. Even though it is winter the terrain is such that I was able to bring my kids and pull them being me in our sled.

It was a nice place. I was hoping the trails might be a little longer but you take a few to make up the distance.

Nice state park, if you like a nice long walk in somewhat of a forestly area this is the place. Takes about an hour and half to walk the whole trail.

Wonderful day to go on self guided tour and walk a trail in the fall. Went to two lookouts, the display room, and saw presentation video. Very well done.

Loved this place! A giant ravine in the middle of the paths. Great views. Can get windy so dress appropriately. Not too packed even when the parking lot is full. Take the family for a nice weekend stroll and feel good 👍👍

Beautiful place to walk the trails and get a piece of history as well. One awesome thing they do is provide walking sticks for the trail!

I had a great time at Good Earth State Park. The trails were beautiful and went along prairies, wooded areas, and the river.

Great family oriented park! Several trails to get up close with nature. The visitor center has an exhibit room teaching about Oneota culture. A movie theater has a 20 minute film about the park and the Native American people who lived here. There is an amphitheater, classroom and picnic shelter for weddings, reunions, picnics, etc.

Beautiful...very well maintained state park. It has 8 different walking paths which vary from .53 miles to 1.13 miles, a very informative visitor center and lots of bathrooms :)

It was a beautiful day for a hike....trees have mostly dropped their leaves, but those with golds and yellows were stunning. Always great to get outside and hike. We saw many families out enjoying the trails today too!

Very clean but its COVID season so somewhat sterile and quiet. Was Father's Day weekend and we enjoyed the activities on the trail geared toward such.

A great little park with lots of trails very close to Sioux Falls. The only downside is that the trails are for hiking only, no bikes. The visitor center is a very nice facility with several nice displays including many historical references. It's only about 5 minutes from the SE edge of town, worth the trip.

We always have a blast when we go to Good Earth! The kids love the trails and seeing how the view from the scenic overlooks change in the seasons. We learn something new each time we come (from reading the signs or walking through the Native American exhibit inside)

Good Earth is a beautiful state park. It’s close enough to town to not be out of the way while still feeling very separate. The pathways are always clean and well-maintained. Park staff and volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable. The museum is a true highlight as well. I also highly recommend going to any events that they offer - we’ve done nature walks, snowshoeing, and even an Escape Room here.

Nice place, should be better after they add in the 200 acres of Spring creek golf course

  • 5/5 Michael M. 3 years ago on Google
A comprehensive historic overview of the area and a dedication to details of our Native American ancestors lifestyles. Beautiful, informative and important. The walking trails are peaceful and meditative and the entire park resonates with an energy that comes from the sacred grounds.
