Large outdoors store with many services such as bicycle repair and snowboard waxing. They even have test facilities such as a dirt track for bikes and a climbing area. The options for sports and camping products include pricey brand names like Patagonia and more affordable REI-brand products. I love my REI cooler - It’s great quality and much cheaper than similar coolers by YETI. Expect to pay a high price if you want long-lasting material, even in the clearance section. The used (or returns) section can be very cheap, but make sure to read the tag for a description on why it was returned or on sale. Sometimes, it’s something as simple as “used once and returned for wrong size” and other times it could be “zipper is broken.” The staff is very knowledgeable and can help you with anything. Need tips on climbing shoes? They can help. Want to purchase camping gear specifically for summer season? They’ll explain the right products for that. There are parking lots and an underground garage that are free for the first two hours.

Great REI. We usually go here to pick up packages or shop some gear for the winter and spring. Tried to get some ski boots here (didn’t bought any though) , patient and polite staff, huge store, and the elevators are you an EXCELLENT condition. The elevators here (I rode them here a few times) are my favorite ones in the state. Package Pickup staff was nice, quick and easy to get one (when you ring the doorbell) , they are also very organized . So, all in all, AWESOME REI. I’ll be back!

Even if you’re just in the area, this REI has it all. A Starbucks and a play area?? Count me in! The employees are always friendly and extremely helpful—even when we come just to play and hang out and not make a purchase. It feels very much so like a place for community, and I love that intentionality. It is also well staffed so you’re never wandering the three floors looking for help. I would recommend and encourage anyone in the area to give this REI a visit!

Awesome store. They sell about everything for the great outdoors you can imagine. It’s a massive warehouse and they have a lot of good clearance racks. For anyone looking to add to their outdoors gear this place is certainly one to stop by. You can tell they are starting to get their inventory in for winter sports which is exciting! (My pictures don’t even cover a quarter of the store)

The store is huge, and it offers a variety of quality items, sometimes at reduced prices. The 1.5 hrs free parking was gone in an eye blink. I went there looking for a specific item and was able to find it. Some of the staff is helpful while some really is not, and I found the lady at the cash to be somewhat rude or presumptuous, which is less appealing for this highly regarded store.

What an iconic building from my childhood! To visit it now as one of my favorite stores is a trip back in time. This place has it all! On the 3rd floor many return items at discount prices! Found my wife a great winter coat at 40% off. Being a member here for so long has been a great decision! Great staff always friendly and helpful

Words cannot describe this place. It’s the one stop shop for any outdoor enthusiast. The staff here is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. After you’re done shopping, sit by the river or walk to the local restaurants or shops to enjoy.

This location is massive. The store is REI so you know what you are getting with purchases but the building is very unique. For how big the store is there isn’t anymore merchandise than a regular location. It is worth taking a look at if you are in need of their products.

Big store. Nice layout. Fun play areas for kids. Confluence park is right next door. Friendly staff. If prices weren’t so outrageous it’d get 5 stars!

First time at this location and I loved it! What an awesome layout for a store. The building is so inviting and rustic. You could literally get lost in this place! Amazing people, amazing products an adventure in itself. If you think it's gonna be a quick trip think again. Plan for an entire afternoon and bring the family! I know I'll be back! Thank you for the experience.

Expensive, but a super fun place to visit right by the water! They also have a “garage sale” section for discounted items which is very nice. The store itself is almost like a museum, big with multiple levels, and lots to see! Great for families and just about anyone else - grab some healthy snacks at the store too and sit by the river to enjoy a sunny day and the sound of running water - all right in downtown Denver! Free parking for 2 hours is also a plus!

Always a wonderful place to pick up my outdoors gear. I’m particularly fond of the REI garage where I can get sweet deals on lightly used items. Parking seems crazy but it always works itself out if you have patience.

Came here for the first time to look for running shoes and felt there were several cons about this place that should be pointed out. There seemed like like pros to this shop, but I experienced none. Google maps told me the wrong time for the hours of the store, parking is wildly confusing with spots all around the building but not really notice of that (confusing if you’ve never been here), pay to park is insane, once I actually got inside the layout is very confusing, Now this one is what bothered me the most - I came here just for running shoes and I watched 8 people around me be assisted or asked if they needed assistance by an old white-bearded man as I also watched 3 or so of his coworkers in the area, not a single one asked me if I needed assistance. I have never been to this store let alone this wild location and I am also trying to learn about some of the product and I was completely ignored. A few minutes on my way out, an employee also rudely bumped into me without any form of acknowledgement when he could have walked in the many pathways the store creates but instead went right past me just to bump me. I really wanted to enjoy my experience since there was so much to take it, but it got ruined fast so I just decide to leave and will go to Fleet Feet instead.

I recently bought a pair of back country ski boots here. It two two trips for the purchase and the fitting and the sales person/tech on both occasions was outstanding. I've been skiing & snowboarding for close to 40 years and have bought a lot of boots and I don't know I've ever been this confident in my purchase of the right ones.

Real nice shop with a good snowsports area. The already have the latest ski equipment in, this year the latest is ski boots with BOA. They look awesome and fit extremely precise.

This flagship store of REI is just a wonder of a building and helpful staff. The floors and so MANY sections and departments to satisfy any outdoorsy need or want. Prices may seem a bit high or expensive for some items, but half of the fun at shipping in this place is to find the bargains (hint: there is a Clearance section, as well a small nook with gently-used, very newly -returned items that have been discounted because they are not "new." I love the cyclist section and the tracks with all the freeze-dried, insta-meal options. And the architecture/design of the building is very pleasing as well. Including the climbing wall! Just a fun, top-notch place to shop by yourself or with your family. Free parking up to 90 minutes on adjacent lot of lot across Platte St. Recommended!

This store has everything, including a rock climbing wall! You can get lost exploring this vast store and will certainly find something you need or want.

Overall, great service, people, and products. I wouldn't however take my bike to their bike shop again, my chain locks up multiple times a day, sometimes while I'm riding in traffic. I don't have the time to take it back right now, I'm sure they would fix the problem. I wish this was an isolated event, I do love REI. The time before this I took a different bike in, they returned it and said, "yeah, one of the brakes isn't working"...why did I bring it in other than to get the brake fixed?

Don't go to this store, you'll want to buy everything, and you probably can't. I'm kidding of course, this flagship REI is simply beautiful! The building, an old warehouse is fascinating from the inside, and everything you could want at an REI is here. They even have things that you didn't know existed but wished did exist because they would make your life easier. And the staff is extremely friendly! The only negative is that I imagine is the price is prohibitive to many, and I believe everyone should have access to some level of outdoor gear.

This has got to be one of the coolest REIs I’ve ever been too! The floor plan is multiple stories and crosses what seems to be an entire city block. I originally came in with a friend looking for some athletic shorts and shirt for a game, yet, we ended up spending a couple of hours here. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. This location also has its own rock climbing wall and is centrally located to downtown.

Every outdoor item you would ever need for any activity. Good mix of style and funtion. By high quality item once. Lots if little corners to explore. No shortage of anything fully stocked. Crowded store but large enough store to get space. Fast checkout even though line looked long. Moved quick. Cheaper options elsewhere
