    I can't say enough about Casa Bubu—it's truly a hidden gem in Granada. From the moment we arrived, Yves and his charming wife welcomed us with such warmth and sophistication, making us feel like royalty in their exquisite Colonial-styled guest house. The ambiance at Casa Bubu is beyond compare. The common areas are akin to an oasis, meticulously designed with a touch of colonial elegance that transports you to a bygone era of grandeur. Each room, complete with its private bathroom, is a testament to luxury and comfort, exceeding even the highest of five-star standards. What truly sets Casa Bubu apart, however, is the unparalleled hospitality of its owners. Yves and his wife are not only well-traveled and cultured but also exceptionally attentive to every guest's need. Whether it was a request for local tips or a small adjustment to our stay, they handled everything with grace and efficiency, ensuring our experience was flawless. In our short time there, we had the pleasure of engaging in delightful conversations ranging from culture to cuisine, travel to investments—a testament to their engaging personalities and worldly knowledge. Words can hardly capture the perfection of Casa Bubu—the atmosphere, the hospitality, and the sheer luxury of the place. It was an absolute pleasure to stay there, and my partner and I are already planning our return. Granada holds a special place in our hearts now, thanks in large part to Yves and his wife. A heartfelt thank you to the owners for their generosity and for creating such a haven in Granada. Casa Bubu is more than just a guest house—it's an experience not to be missed. Salvatore and Ken

    The house is beautiful and has many places to sit and enjoy the decor. The room was large with a sitting area and comfortable bed. Toilet separate room from the shower which I love. Bed was super comfortable. Owner Yves was lovely and gave us great attention. Would highly recommend! Will be back 🌸

    Easily the best place I stayed during my 5 weeks in Nicaragua. Yves and his wife were the most amazing hosts and the guesthouse itself is a beautifully decorated oasis of tranquility. Cannot recommend Casa Bubu enough.

    Yves was an awesome host and I cannot wait to return. His home is so lovely and relaxing, great location quiet and very safe. The morning breakfast is the best thing to wake up to with views of the garden and pool. The only place I will stay in Granada moving forward, merci Yves!

    A beautiful property located two blocks from the city center / park. I stayed for 1 night with my wife in January 22 for our 3-year wedding anniversary. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels in Granada (my family is from Granada) and this is one of the most beautiful properties in my opinion. It’s located in a quiet area, the décor is elegant and the guesthouse size is perfect for privacy (4 rooms only). The pool, internal gardens / terrace, bar, lighting, pricing and spacious rooms were also highlights of the property. (I used to work in boutique hotel in quality control so I keep a keen eye on these details.) I particularly liked the concept of the guesthouse. Yves, the owner, was a delightful host and the breakfast was spectacular. We will definitely be returning to vacation on the weekends. Note: Bubu is a guesthouse, not a hotel. The service is more limited than a hotel (no restaurant, only drinks and local beers) but there’s the added benefit of increased privacy. I personally loved the boutique feeling of a home in comparison to larger hotels. It’s the best way to truly get the Granada feel for the colonial architecture.

    To everyone reading, Do you want to indulge in a peaceful place where you can relax and enjoy your stay? if the answer is yes, then come over to Casa Bubu, this place is amazing, from the moment you arrive Yves receives you with a warm welcome and a complimentary drink. You will love the spacious rooms and amazing pool. In the morning you are offered a three-course breakfast featuring a mouth watering homemade marmalade that your palate will enjoy as well as a fruit salad made with fresh fruits. Casa Bubu is located near the center of the city of Granada, and they also have a private parking if you have a car (for an additional fee). We enjoy our stay and will be staying there in the future as the privacy is great if you want a place without lots of people walking in and out. I can provide additional information about how to navigate the area if needed.

    I can't say enough about Casa Bubu and Yves! My boyfriend and I had been trekking around Nicaragua and were feeling pretty run down. We landed in Bubu tired and scraggly and Yves welcomed us and sat us down to say hello, give us a welcome drink, and provide some recommendations (all of which were spot-on). Our favorite was Eco. The location was perfect. Walkable to everything like sights, ATM, grocery store, restaurants, and tours were able to pick up from this location. His place is beautiful and now my life goal has changed to having a home with a beautiful interior courtyard!! This is not a typical hotel. This is a home with 4 guest rooms and is very cozy and there are very thoughtful touches in every little thing, down to the personalized stickers on the toilet paper. We felt extremely welcome and comfortable and while I was traveling with someone on this trip, I'm usually a solo traveler. I would feel 100% safe staying here as a solo female. There was security in the evenings and we shared our pizza with him one night when we accidentally ordered a giant pizza and had too much. We loved the giant breafast (including crepes) and I was obsessed with the fruit salad. We used the pool every day, which was so refreshing. No issues with WiFi (we were both working on this trip) or AC or bugs. We even had our laundry done same day for a ridiculously fair price. Our room was huge and very quiet. The host, Yves, was sick on our last day and still helped us go out into the street to wave down a taxi to get us on to our next destination safetly and for a fair price. I'm looking foward to coming back some day soon!

    This was one of our favorite places we have ever stayed! The lap pool was beautiful. The 3 course breakfast was amazing. The host was so kind. The entire property was a work of art! We would totally come back here and recommend it to anyone.

    Yves has created a truly perfect retreat. Every detail of the cozy and tranquil property has been thoughtfully considered. I was shocked at how beautiful the house was. It looks great in photos but they don't do it justice - in person it was STUNNING. The host was very accommodating and funny. I would 100% recommend staying here - will definitely be going back soon. :)

    Casa Bubu and its fantastic host Yves is a must stay if you are going to Granada. Yves was very informative and helpful (coordinating a rental car quickly and easily for us, as well as information on all the surrounding attractions and points around Nicaragua as a whole) and the establishment itself is absolutely beautiful. One of the few places where reality is better than the pictures. The breakfast that Yves and his lovely staff prepare, in particular the home made jams, are a must as well. We spent three nights at Casa Bubu and found ourselves trying to get activities done so we could spend more time relaxing in its lovely courtyard. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and that is with travelling with our two year old girl as well!

    We had a fantastic experience at Casa Bubu. Yves was a wonderful host. He greeted us warmly with a welcome drink and he was attentive to all of our needs. The online photos don’t do it justice. This house is even better in person. A lot of thought went into the decor and decorations. This house has a very relaxed and zen full vibe. The pool is crystal clear and clean. After a long and hot day we were able to enjoy the pool because it never closes. The beds were confortable and the rooms were very clean. Be sure not to miss the breakfast here—the chef is very good. I highly recommend Casa Bubu. I hope to come back soon.

    Yves and Corinne are wonderful hosts; somehow they make everyone feel like special guests, providing privacy and ensuring you have everything you need. We would return to Granada just to stay here. Although I had read the reviews about the excellent breakfasts, I did not comprehend how eggs and crepes could be that special. Well, they are. The care that goes into the fresh mango juice, the vegetables they add to the eggs, the homemade jams with crepes, the photo worthy fruit bowl (the best we had in Nicaragua) - it really does standout. But the design of this place is what really stands out in memory, the ambiance created by the all of the candle lit lanterns throughout the garden and pool area, it rivals the best 5 star hotels we’ve stayed in, it was hard to leave. The quality of workmanship in all of the furniture, lighting concepts and building structure, it is just an incredible place. Peaceful, romantic, so beautiful, you will be fortunate to stay to here.

    Why can’t I give more than 5 stars? Casa Bubu is amazing and owner and host Yves is the best and he made our stay really special. The breakfast is so tasteful (you don’t need to eat the rest of the day), the rooms are beautiful, the swimming pool is great and the location really central. Our best stay in Central America, and you won’t regret it either. Merci beaucoupe Yves!

    Casa Bubu was an amazing stay. Yves was friendly, attentive, and truly made us feel at home. The local products from breakfast were amazing; the crepes were such a nice touch! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the pool was clean and refreshing, and being a bit further from La Cazalda ensured a comfortable and quiet sleep. We will definitely be staying the next time we visit Granada.

    My family and I had a wonderful stay at Casa Bubu, it felt like we were staying at a friend's house. It was quiet and relaxing and the kids couldn't get enough of the pool. The breakfast was great as well. We will be back!

    Casa Bubu is easily one of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed in. You can see and feel the love and care Yves and his wife have put into it. They are the greatest hosts, you truly feel you are a guest in their home, always making sure we had everything we needed and they were wonderful to our kids. We can't recommend Casa Bubu enough, our only regret was not staying longer. We will be back for sure.

    One of my favorite places to enjoy a relaxing weekend. Phenomenal 3 course breakfast including crepes with homemade jam. Beautiful ambiance throughout the property. The Roma’s are large in size with seating areas. The showers are elegantly designed with a fancy penthouse suite vibe. Private evening bar/lounge for guests looking for a cocktail without leaving the property. Great for private bookings with friends and family. Complimentary parking and a welcome drink upon arrival. The pool is available 24 hours to guests which is rare. Plenty of private seating areas to enjoy reading in the afternoon or morning coffee with a view. Incredible view of the volcano and colonial style rooftops from the 2nd floor. The owner, Yves is an absolute gem and incredibly inviting.

    This review has been long over due! My wife and I stayed at Casa Bubu in Feb, and couldn't have been any happier. The accommodations were fantastic. The room was beautifully decorated, spacious and the attention to detail was obvious. The service was top notch and my personal favorite part of the whole experience was getting to know the host, Yves. The entire place is a reflection of him and his wife. Tasteful, elegant and sophisticated. Thanks again for a for taking great care of us. Look forward to our next time there!

    Honestly one of the most amazing places I’ve ever stayed at. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel completely at home by Yves. The rooms are beautiful and spacious and are cleaned to a very high standard daily. The staff are all so wonderful and polite and the attention to detail at Casa Bubu is second to none. Also the cats are adorable! Couldn’t recommend this place enough.

    Our stay has got to be one of the best experiences at any resort. From the moment we got to Casa Bubu till the day we left the experience was just excellent. The service, attention, comfort at the room and house was just excellent. The breakfast included is just hands down amazing. Every day we had the best scrambled eggs, natural juices, coffee and the best crepes with all types of home made jelly + bowl of fruits. Amazing breakfast with the best attention from both Yves and his wife. The house was just impecable and very clean. I highly recommend this house to anyone and will definitely come back and stay here again and again.

    Casa Bubu was fabulous! I spent a week there while attending Spanish classes and was extremely satisfied. Yves went above and beyond to make sure my stay was outstanding in every way. From delicious breakfasts, to super clean and neat surroundings, to arranging taxis and hikes, to beautiful and spacious rooms, I felt spoiled in every way! The rooms are air-conditioned, the pool is sparkling, the atrium and sitting areas are inviting and comfortable. It was quiet and comfortable. I’m so glad I got to stay at Casa Bubu! Highly recommended!

    This is one of the most beautiful hotels that I've ever seen in Granada. We were doing some research and looking for a reservation and we ran across this place. What makes this place special? we were looking for a quite place to rest and forget for one moment the duties and responsibilities, in other words trying to charge the batteries. It's a secure place and everything is nearby like restaurant, supermarkets, and the central park. There no words or expression to describe the customer service, the quality of service provided by the owner, and the last but not least the breakfast was amazing!

    One of the most beautiful places we have been. A spot of paradise in the middle of Granada. The house is designed with so much love, very aesthetic, very clean and very cozy. The hosts Yve and his wife Corinne are so incredibly nice and insightful with great tips to explore. We loved talking with them. The breakfast is excellent. There is absolutely nothing that could have been better. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay in Granada. Thank you for such a wonderful stay. We will definitely come again if we will be ever again in Nicaragua.

    The moment we arrived at Casa Bubu we knew it was going to be an amazing stay. The warm greeting by the owners, fresh cold juice & the guest house is breathtakingly beautiful & serene. Every detail has been thought out for guests comfort & enjoyment. The bedroom was perfect. The bed is very comfortable, the shower is heavenly after a long day exploring & the treats they leave on your pillow are an added special touch. 🍬 The courtyard & pool area are immaculately clean & inviting. We loved being lazy on the outdoor loungers & cooling off in the pool, surrounded by plants, trees & flowers 🌺 The 3 course breakfast is homemade & well thought out. Fresh squeezed juice, coffee & tea, eggs cooked to order & toast is course 1. I usually orders mine scrambled with some vegetables. Course two, crepes with honey & your choice of homemade fruit jams. I choose a different one each day & they were all delicious. Course three was a bowl of fresh fruit in so many varieties. We left the table each morning full & ready for our day. Tue mornings my son didn’t want eggs they had homemade granola for him & his picky pallet gave it 5 stars ⭐️ We stayed three nights & wanted to extend. It’s the kind of place you don’t want to leave. I highly recommend Casa Bubu for couples & families. They treated our son wonderfully & he enjoyed his stay as much as we did ❤️

    Granada paradise found! Casa Bubu was excellent from the moment we arrived. Yves and his wife were wonderful hosts, and great company to pass time with! They were also extremely helpful - Yves gave us great food recommendations, tour suggestions, and hooked us up with an awesome boat guide! The small details of the place made our stay one to remember, including some French treats left on our bed! My parents and I cannot wait to return again soon! Don’t miss this amazing guesthouse, you will feel like one of the family and never want to leave. See you both soon!

    Casa Bubu is THE place you want to stay in Granada. Yves is a fabulous host, extremely available and helpful and full of great tips about things to do and places to visit in Granada. Casa Bubu is a cosy and very well decorated guesthouse. The bedrooms and bathrooms are huge, very clean and comfortable. The long swimming pool is perfect for laps and is shaded, you can’t get any sunburn! There are many different places where you can chill and relax after visiting the city or just enjoy a quiet moment. We felt like home at casa Bubu and warmly recommend it to any person who looks for a 5 star French touch guest house in Granada… Thank you Yves, we will definitely come back!

    The actual feeling of coming to someone's house (which is what it is in the end), instead of going to a regular hotel, was unique. The house itself is flawless, including our room. And let me make this clear, the pool is gorgeous! Last but not least, our host Yves was adorable - always willing to help without being nosy, showing up at exactly the right times -not before, not after-. One last thing: the food was remarkable. Do yourself a favor and try the orange-pineapple jam... you're welcome.

    My partner and I LOVED our stay at Casa Bubu with Yves. Many reasons but these are the main ones: Yves (the owner), location, aesthetics, breakfast. Yves: The owner, is a splendid gentleman from France. He had so many great stories to share (including all his travels, and how he was once a veterinarian!) and felt like a good friend. He always had a quick answer to any question we had (such as organizing tours, he even helped me get a birthday cake and piñata for my boyfriend's birthday). Overall great service, we felt like royalty. Location: Pretty much everything you need and want to get to is in walking distance. Amazing cafes, parks. It is very central location so we really enjoyed that. But quiet! Aesthetics: Yves and his wife did such a beautiful job designing the place! And every night Yves puts candles everywhere and it becomes a little glowing paradise. Very romantic! And there's only 4 rooms, it is not a huge hotel, it is a perfect sized guesthouse! I have traveled a lot in my life and these were some of my favorite hotel rooms -- very high class boutique vibe. HUGE gorgeous showers. And the POOL at night! Such a wonderful way to come home and cool off. Breakfast: What can we say? An amazing 3 course breakfast every single morning. With a huge fresh fruit bowl. Yves collects the fruit every morning from the market. Even dragon fruit! And fresh mango jam and crepes!! How I miss these breakfasts!! Thanks Yves! We miss you!! Hope to cross paths again.

    Although we stayed for only one night, Yves was very gracious and hospitable. The house is gorgeous, and breakfast was an equal match. The guest rooms are big and luxurious, and the common area really feels like a secret paradise. Yves arranged our airport pickup and took every step to ensure we were comfortable and well fed while in Granada. Thank you, Yves! We hope to visit you again one day!

    A gem of a place, run by an excellent owner and host. The moment we walked up to the door, we knew we had found a place that took pride in everything that they offered. Beautiful rooms, cozy common spaces and an owner who has mastered the craft of hospitality. On top of all of that, it also felt like great value for the cost. Thank you Yves! We’ll be singing the praises of Casa Bubu for a long time.

    Casa Bubu is the most charming guesthouse I have ever stayed in. It is beautifully decorated with great attention to details, very comfortable, central and most especially, Yves and his wife take excellent care of their guests, helping them with useful advice and reservations of nice restaurants, activities and places of interest. There is such a peaceful atmosphere around the patio and the pool with candles, cristal clear water, plants…The breakfast is just incredible and the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and well equipped. This is a relaxing place where I would love to stay every year!

    Absolute oasis in the heart of the city. Do yourself the biggest favour and book this place, you won’t regret it. So much effort has gone into making it very special. I stayed with my 2 kids at this beautiful house and we enjoyed the time from start to finish. Yves (the owner) and his wife were the best hosts ever. They were so friendly, they were so attentive to every detail making sure me and my daughters had a pleasant time and relaxing time. The gourmet breakfast was the best of the best, jam was made by themselves and I never ever tasted some jam that were soo delicious. We had an incredible experience. Yves is a great host!! You could not get a better / cleaner/ guest oriented stay than this. Already the breakfast is worth any penny! The pool is large and the whole interior is implacable. Would 100% come back and recommend.

    We had a wonderful experience at Casa Bubu. We were a group of 6 people, including my 4-year old daughter, and we were treated with welcome and respect as dear guests by the host Yves and the staff. The guest house is a work of art, where every detail is meticulously thought through. My favorite part was delicious French style breakfast with home-made jam, which is a whole experience of its own. The location of Casa Bubu is perfect - within a walking distance from the historical landmarks, and at the same time on a quiet street away from the noise. I highly recommend Casa Bubu to those who appreciate a calm environment of a guest house, which is a nice opposite of commotion of a busy hotel.

    We stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our vacation. Yves was a fantastic host and this place is a definite oasis. I would highly recommend staying here. The breakfast will keep you going all day, and Yves is a one stop shop of information and organizing, we even got massages in our rooms! We absolutely loved our stay here and would highly recommended to anyone.

    {"0":"Our friends told us what a magical experience Casa Bubu was and our stay there was above our expectations. From the moment you step into the property you know that you have arrived somewhere special. The property is beautiful and is reminiscent of the old Granada with modern updates and colorful French flair in decor. We had a delicious 3 course breakfast every day with crepes and house made Jams and preserves. The owner, Yves, was extremely caring and attentive and went out of his way to make sure were happy. There are many private places in the Villa to relax and unwind and I found myself getting work done by the pool every day. On our final morning, we had to leave at 5am and Yves even got up early to personally make us coffee and see us off. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to our next visit.","2":["0","233"]}

    {"0":"We had an incredible stay at Casa Bubu and it was one of the highlights of our entire Nicaragua Journey. The property and rooms are immaculately decorated with style and taste. You feel like you are in a magical private oasis in the bustling historical area of Granada. The owner, Yves, is the friendliest and most accommodating host. He is the true definition of hospitality. We highly recommend this Casa Bubu Guesthouse as a must stay location when in Granada. Thank you Yves!","2":["0","233"]}

    {"0":"Casa Bubu is an amazing restaurant oasis in the bustling town of Granada! Yves is a truly gracious and excellent host and helped make our stay a true delight! He and his staff are thoughtful and ready to help make your visit truly memorable. Breakfast each morning is delicious and fresh and the perfect way to fuel up for the day\u2019s adventures. The pool is immaculate and so refreshing after a day in the Nica sun. The vibe is very relaxing and comforting and truly feels like a home away from home. The town center is only a couple of minutes walk and there are many excellent restaurants and bars nearby. I will definitely stay here on my next visit to Granada, and hope to have the opportunity to enjoy a cigar with Yves!","2":["0","230"]}

😠 A theft occurred during our stay. The security of the items in the security lockers is non-existent. We put all of our things in the security locker and left to explore the city on foot. When we returned the only other person in our dorm room was frantically looking for his credit card. He thought h...
