What
to
say
about
the
time
my
husband
and
I
spent
at
Pelan
Pelan?
There
is
so
much
to
rave
about.
Basically,
I
have
no
critique,
and
if
you
are
contemplating
going
to
Pelan
Pelan,
I
would
recommend
that
you
do.
If
you
want
to
surf,
if
you
want
to
do
yoga,
or,
if
you
just
want
to
relax
in
a
place
that
exudes
a
calm,
slow,
cheerful,
and
gracious
vibe,
you
will
not
be
disappointed.
My
husband
and
I
booked
our
trip
to
Bali
prior
to
COVID,
and
had
to
push
the
trip
forward
several
times.
During
that
time,
Emma
and
the
staff
(I
will
call
them
a
family,
because
it
was
evident
that
that
is
what
they
really
are)
were
patient
with
all
our
changes
in
plans,
and
the
many
questions
asked.
When
we
got
to
the
airport,
the
pickup
was
seamless,
our
driver
Wayan
was
kind
and
friendly,
and
when
we
arrived
at
Pelan
Pelan,
we
were
greeted
with
flowers
and
fresh
juice,
and
invited
to
sit
down
and
rest.
Our
room
was
beautiful,
and
the
gardens
gorgeous.
We
had
initially
signed
up
for
the
“get
it
all
package”,
but
in
the
time
between
our
booking
and
the
trip,
my
husband
had
some
medical
issues
that
prevented
him
from
surfing.
The
staff
was
thoughtful
enough
to
switch
him
to
the
“relax”
package.
I
went
out
surfing,
and
was
immediately
impressed
with
Putu,
my
surf
instructor—he
was
positive,
encouraging,
and
had
a
level
of
expertise
that
was
immediately
evident.
I
later
decided
that,
since
my
husband
was
not
surfing,
and
I
was
enjoying
the
resort
so
much,
I
would
opt
out
of
surfing.
Again,
the
staff
graciously
accommodated
and
made
me
feel
taken
care
of.
We
spent
our
time
at
Pelan
Pelan
being
pampered,
relaxing,
doing
yoga,
and
getting
to
know
the
Pelan
Pelan
family
working
there.
I
cannot
emphasize
enough
how
kind,
welcoming,
hospitable,
and
cheerful
every
person
was.
The
yoga
shala
was
beautiful
and
the
classes
offered
fantastic.
The
food
was
fresh
and
healthy—a
wonderful
sampling
of
Indonesian
dishes;
we
took
a
cooking
class
while
there,
and
thoroughly
enjoyed
it.
I
think
that
most
people
go
to
Pelan
Pelan
for
the
surfing—and
you
should—the
instructors
are
fantastic,
the
beaches
beautiful,
and
the
excitement
of
being
in
the
water
infectious.
That
said,
although
I
surprised
myself
by
making
the
decision
not
to
surf,
I
have
no
regrets,
and
feel
so
blessed
to
have
experienced
the
beauty
of
the
resort,
the
wonderful
Pelan
Pelan
family
we
got
to
know,
the
time-out
from
the
world,
and
being
so
well
taken
care
of.
I
cannot
recommend
Pelan
Pelan
enough.
Thank
you
to
all
who
made
our
time
there
so
magical.
