Really unique and unconventional for an Italian eatery. Staff are wonderful, atmosphere is very metal, baroque, maybe medieval. Food is closer to Bavarian or Bohemian. It's really worth a visit.

Really nice choice of great beers. Really nice food: pork meat, polenta with gorgonzola, ribs and stewed sausage were really tasty. Really nice desserts. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere is really original.

Went for dinner here, food quality and portion size was great, especially the deep fried bread ball things. (can't remember the name) Decent drink selection and wicked interior! Staff were really lovely and friendly despite our terrible Italian!! A proper gem.

Went here while spending a night in La Spezia and very glad I did. The food was excellent and servers were attentive. Portion sizes were great as well especially considering the price. Had the Weissbier which didn’t disappoint as well as the ravioli ragu and the beef goulash and I was stuffed! If I came back I would get something other than the ravioli, it was good but nothing to write home about and everything else was excellent. The wife had a couple glasses of red wine, the ravioli, and a Jack potato and she loved it all. Given the whole meal cost us €50, it was well worth the trip and the ambiance of the restaurant can’t be beat. Many people ordered the short ribs and we should have too because they looked amazing. Hopefully we will be back this way again to try them.

Really nice ambiente and even though there are only a few beers to choose from, they are fantastic and served in fitting glasses. However the service was sadly not that good and we didn't really feel welcome. Furthermore the service of dinner was super slow.

Unique medieval experience with some local interesting food. I liked taste and flavour of food - reminds me childhood at Grandma's. Good selection of whisky as well. Definitely worth the current rating and place must to visit while visiting La Spezia!

I really can't find anything wrong with this place, apart from them not willing to re-locate to my hometown. Real good food, eaten while listening to metal (but you can still talk to eachother), served by the nicest group of people you can imagine. Scenery that reminds you of an old wateringhole in years long gone. Its just a cool place to be while you eat. My advice... when you're on your way south to Pisa or Rome or Napoli... get your behind (wink wink nudge nudge) of the highway and have a stopover. It is so worth it!

Great meal in a small restaurant. Delicious pork and wild boar dishes and the sgabei with cheese is fantastic! You should definitely eat here while in la Spezia!

Unfortunately I think we caught them at a bad time. The music was cool, the beer list looked decent but unfortunately the beer was average. The service was not great as we sat out on the street

Matkamme aikana en saanut mistään niin isoja annoksia kuin täältä ja hintakaan ei päätä huimaa. Lihansyöjän paikka, mutta puolisolle löytyi myös useampi lihaton ruoka, ja hänkin tykkäsi todella paljon. Hyvät oluet;)

We went there yesterday but got food poisoning, probably from the food because we have not eaten anything else that day. The food seemed nice at first but a few hours later we had to throw up, got diarrhea and felt sick. Edit: Why would I need to delete the review? We were the ones who got the table that was reserved from half 9 so it's not a fake. I uploaded a photo of the receipt to prove that we were there. Two of my friends could not sleep throughout the night because they were throwing up and were spending the night on the toilet, and we also needed to end our trip because of it (that should have lasted 7 more days). As we did not eat at any other restaurant yesterday, our suspicion is that something wasn't right with the food we received, therefore we wrote the review (as this is what reviews are for). I think it might be fair to suspect a false review, but to threaten us with the police to delete one negative review you suspect to be false seems quite unprofessional to me.

The food is a must try it's hearty, delicious, and great portions, so come hungry! Also, do book. Otherwise, you may not get in. It's a popular place. The music was great the decor was cool and the service was fast and friendly. For sure, we will be back and make sure you try the sgabeo. It is just so yummy!!! Be patient for the beer it's a process but worth it and a good selection. The wine was good also, and we took our bottle home.

I stayed in their rooms and place was nice and tidy. very clean and staff was friendly. Only thing was the boiler doesn’t hold enough water for a hot bath after 10 minutes and some noise until 1am because of the taverna bellow.

Only went to the restaurant. Great beers on tap. Fantastic bread and cheese/cured meat starter. Mains we had were hit and miss.

Great place to go when you need to take a break of Italian food. Delicious draft beer (German, Irish and Italian options), incredible food and very reasonable prices. We ordered the waiter suggestions, pork with sweet red onions, mashed potato’s and mushrooms + spicy smoked ribs. Both were amazing and the portions pretty big (~10 EUR each). Metallo in the name of the place means metal in music. So be ready for some metal at the background. But is not too loud, so it didn’t disturb at all. Anyway this place is run by people who loves their business and honestly their best. Very pleasant interior and atmosphere, friendly stuff, good beer and delicious food. The prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!

Cute venue and decent atmosphere provided you get the right seat. Other diners were cramped they couldn't get out of their seats. Food was relatively quite expensive for the portions - goulash had no flavour. Service was slow given the size of the place.

Great hosts and atmosphere. We had two courses, but that was way too much. Portion sizes are large. The food tasted good as well.

We were referred there by our hotel's staff who called to secure us a table. We asked the people sitting next to us for recommendations and went with those. My wife had the ribs... she throughly enjoyed them and I had the sausage stew and it was very good too. I enjoyed the bartender's beer choice for me and my dessert was excellent too... Grampa's Chocolate Cake... staff was super friendly and attentive.... The wife and I want to go back!
