👍👍 Perfect. Perfect. Perfect… To start, the bottle of wine recommended was fabulous. We started with the buffalo mozzarella, which was the perfect aperitivo. If the lobster special is on the menu, you must try it. Best tiramisu I’ve every had. 10/10 recommend this hole in the wall - family owned restau... An unpleasant experience. the food is acceptable. The shrimp steak and shrimp is good. Carbonara pasta is very poor quality. Shrimp risotto is execrable. It tastes like sour cheese. the staff is careless. The payment note is written with a pen on paper. The price is artificially inflated with offers off the menu. Portion of buffalo mozzarella offered, was 20 euros. It is a trap for tourist who search review on google.

A family restaurant, ran by 3 generations of a family, with great service and amazing food. The surroundings are not great, but this place is a definite gem... In there, forget the luxurious decoration (although the paintings on the wall are.really nice) as all it matters here is good service (the staff are super friendly, even the older generation that cannot speak English) and the food (that is really good).

Great and authentic Italian experience, warm family-like service, and one of the best mozarella I have ever tried.

We found Trattoria Da Papa' before flying out of Naples airport and was very happy with our experience. The service and food were phenomenal. We dearly wished we had time to stay for an espresso and dessert, which we are sure would've been as great as the meal. The host was amazingly friendly and the whole atmosphere of the place is very chill.

What a way to conclude our Italian vacation! We were first ones to arrive for dinner and Giovanni introduced us to his family working tables and kitchen. Food was home made and amazing. They cater for children although our girls we fought us for our appetizers of octopus and sardines! Buffalo mozzarella and prosciutto were also amazing. As were the pastas. Great entertainment provided by Marco! Don’t be discouraged by the outside.

Ordered chicken breast with potatoes, got chicken soup and on side half cooked potatoes, dirty toilet for guests, have a chance to go elsewhere go don’t waste your time at Tratoria da Papa, where local residents smoke inside even if she wheat off later, totally disappointed with food wise and customer service manner. Worthless visit.

I pride myself on finding these “hole-in-the-wall” establishments. A cozy and true mom-and-pop shop. You may not expect great things from this place as you approach it from the front, but you’d be wrong about the food and you’d miss out on what I consider to be an authentic Italian experience. I knew they were set to close at 6PM, so I walked briskly to get there with enough time to eat before closing. Arriving around 5:25PM (on a Sunday), there were local Italian families just leaving the restaurant. I took this as a good sign of local endorsement and authenticity. The owners seemed a little surprised to see an American coming in, or perhaps a little concerned about the proximity to closing time. Nonetheless, they made me feel welcome and I ordered the roasted octopus, bruschetta, pistachio ricotta tart (for dessert), and coffee. All of these dishes were excellent. The sauce really made the dish with the roasted octopus. You’ll notice that the dessert I chose is not on the menu and I think they may rotate through a few options. I had actually asked for tiramisu, but I was informed that only the pistachio ricotta tart was available. It tasted as great as it looked. I would liken the taste to a pistachio cannoli perhaps. The coffee was also excellent and in the typical Italian style and quantity—what we in the USA would simply call an espresso. This place really seems to pride itself on and is known for its seafood, so I would probably try a larger seafood option next time. Will return and I recommend to others as well.

Mama Mia!!!! This was such an unforgettable experience! Live music, a friendly family atmosphere, and the best food anyone could get. We traveled Italy for our honeymoon, from Milan to Venice, to Florence, to Amalfi, and then Naples and this was by far the best meal and experience we had, and that is saying a lot since we had so many AMAZING once in a life time experiences. My wife is lactose intolerant and they had no problem making amazing meal for the both of us to enjoy. Everything was homemade and the family recipe lemoncello beat anything in Amalfi hands down! We would come back to this place a million times. Everyone was so friendly we left feeling like one of the family. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Thank you all for such a great time and unforgettable meal and experience!

Absolutely fantastic! Went for lunch with my Neopolitan friend and we enjoyed so much we went a second time today. Family run restaurant with great authentic local dishes. Great for tourists and locals alike. Highly recommend for anyone. Only a short distance from the airport.

Great family place with excellent seafood. It's like eating with your family (but the food is better!) Very reasonable prices , excellent service in this small, humble location. Definitely with stopping by

Small, inexpensive, family-run restaurant delivering FAR better food than you'd expect. This was the best meal we had in Italy on a ten day trip, and it was far less expensive than many others. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found this place on our final night in town. The chef is very kind and unassuming. He will explain his specials and favorites from the menu to you personally before you order. Take his recommendations and you won't be disappointed!! He is very passionate about his work, and you can tell how he enjoys making happy customers.

Had 4 different starters, after that we had one of the greatest salmon with cheese ive ever tasted. The main dish: spaghetti with mussels and shellfish was amazing. 5/5 would go here on my first date

The older women that work there were so sweet. The younger girls were so rude to me to the point I wanted to leave before my fiancé and I got our food. The food was terrible and I don’t understand how they have such high ratings. The food was not good at all!!!!!!

This is a family owned restaurant with 3 generations helping each other. The food was great and the service was very personable to explain everything to us. Within walking distance of the airport.

Food and service are excellent. Looks dilapidated but don’t be put off, it’s not a cheap spot (tourists rates?) but worth the price point.

Absolutely delicious! We had the mozzarella and prosciutto, definitely the best mozzarella I’ve ever tasted along with the squid ink pasta. Whole experience was lovely, family run business with friendly service and incredible food.

Atmosphere, food, and service all absolutely top notch. Purchased the 25 euro option with antipasti, two courses, and dessert. Perfection. Smoked salmon, fresh mozzarella and prosciutto on arugula, and beans divine. The mussels and clams were fresh and folded into a sauce with depth and complexity. Calamari and anchovies defy description. Dinner was accompanied by house red wine to start and a bottle of white with the mussels and clams. Finished with grappa. I know this sounds hyperbolic but I was truly blown away by the quality of our dinner. Highly recommended.
