The
Parc
de
la
Serralada
de
Marina
is
an
area
of
more
than
three
thousand
hectares
that
includes
part
of
the
municipalities
of
Tiana,
Badalona,
Santa
Coloma
de
Gramenet,
Montcada
i
Reixac
and
Sant
Fost
de
Campsentelles.
This
is
located
at
the
southern
end
of
the
Sierra
de
Marina,
in
the
sector
known
as
the
Sierra
de
la
Conreria.
It
is
a
natural
environment
where
you
can
enjoy
a
great
wealth
of
species.
For
this
reason,
it
has
an
important
diversity
of
natural
systems,
such
as
holm
oak
forests
and
oak
forests.
Likewise,
there
is
a
fauna
typical
of
open
spaces,
some
of
them
quite
rare
in
Catalonia,
as
is
the
case
of
certain
trans-Saharan
migratory
birds.
The
space
occupied
by
this
park
is
a
good
example
of
the
history
of
the
settlement
of
Catalonia.
Thanks
to
the
remains
found,
it
can
be
seen
that,
in
ancient
times,
agriculture,
livestock,
textile
industry,
ceramics
and
coins
already
existed
there.
In
fact,
three
Iberian
towns
have
been
found
there,
Puig
Castellar,
Las
Maleses
and
Boscà
Hill.
There
are
also
very
important
religious
buildings,
such
as
the
monastery
of
San
Jerónimo
de
la
Murtra,
the
charterhouse
of
Montalegre
and
the
hermitage
of
Sant
Pere
de
Reixac.
Likewise,
it
is
a
space
where
there
are
traditional
houses
linked
to
agricultural
activity.
In
this
park
you
can
also
enjoy
various
viewpoints
that
are
located
on
the
hills
of
Donadeu,
Moià,
Galzeran
and
Puig
Castellar.
From
these
observation
spaces
you
can
see
various
birds
and
enjoy
wonderful
surrounding
landscapes.
Likewise,
the
mountain
range
has
several
ridge
paths
that
link
these
hills
and
that
constitute
extraordinary
itineraries
in
which
you
can
marvel
at
the
landscape.
In
the
Parc
de
la
Serralada
de
Marina
there
is
the
Tiana
observatory,
where
astronomical
research
and
dissemination
activities
are
carried
out.
This
is
a
site
that
also
functions
as
the
park's
Information
Point
on
weekends.
Research
activities
on
planetary
astronomy
are
mainly
carried
out
there.
Studies
are
also
carried
out
on
asteroids,
the
sun
and
the
moon,
among
others.
At
the
observatory
they
also
hold
open
outreach
sessions,
such
as
observations,
conferences
and
children's
activities.
On
the
other
hand,
the
Serralada
de
Marina
Park
participates
in
the
Vive
el
parque
program.
This
takes
place
between
the
months
of
March
and
June
and
offers
various
plastic,
performing,
musical,
literary
and
folklore
activities.
Likewise,
it
carries
out
activities
to
disseminate
the
natural
and
cultural
heritage,
both
inside
the
park
and
in
the
municipalities
that
are
located
on
the
limits
of
the
protected
space.
In
addition,
you
can
get
closer
to
the
Parc
de
la
Serralada
Litoral
area,
where
the
coastal
area
joins
the
inland
valleys.
This
is
a
place
where
you
can
also
enjoy
an
immense
cultural
heritage
and
a
fascinating
natural
environment.
