Wow. Possibly my favourite meal ever. My partner and I couldn't say enough about this place! Everything had such a depth of flavour that I've never experienced before. We can't wait to come again next time we visit Bristol! They have an outdoor seating area out the back, upstairs seating and everywhere is beautifully presented.

Absolutely brilliant. Megan was wonderful and helped us with our menu questions. The food was incredible. So much flavour and really generous portion sizes. We went with 2 non-vegans and they loved it too, especially the shish and doner kebabs, they said they'd happily go again. It's a big menu, so we could easily visit a few more times and choose completely different dishes. We'll definitely visit again and would highly recommend. I've added a couple of pics but they don't do it justice!

One of the best meals of my life. It was a surprise meal from my partner on our anniversary. The best vegan food I have ever had, extremely tasty and decent portions. The mezze meal for two was an exceptional price and even with drinks, it didn't cost too much. The vibe was lovely and aesthetics on point. Can't wait to visit again!

One of the new places that I have found in Bristol. The food was delicious, I recommend sharing a large plate and a small one if you are two people, because they're a lot of delicious dishes. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish our dishes because of two small inconveniences that arose in the middle of our meal, but Chloe the manager found a solution, and helped us solve the problem thank you very much lovely. I will definitely come back and finish my dishes 😋😋

The food is utterly phenomenal. Heaven on a plate. We all made contented noises as we sampled each mezze dish 🤣 The staff were beyond helpful and friendly. Alfie and Freya were the perfect host's and greeted us like old friends. They even explained how the food was prepared by different chefs. It's such a joy eating at any vegan restaurant , however one of this standard and quality is going to be difficult to beat ! We will definitely be returning and recommending it to all our friends.

Amazing vegan food in a place with a nice, relaxed vibe. We tried quite a few dishes and there wasn’t a single one we didn’t love. I especially recommend the oyster mushroom wings and the tagine. Cocktails are great too! Dog friendly which we really appreciate. The service felt a little cold at times, but not enough that I’d knock a star off.

The best vegan (if not the best restaurant) in Bristol. We recently visited for a meal and chose the Mixed Grill for Two for £49, and both had a gin and tonic (for £5 each, also very reasonable!). The Mixed Grill was all delicious, some really great options and good portions. We also had some fries on the side, but these weren't needed as the food was very filling. You get lots of variety with the Mixed Grill (it's a set menu), you get olives to start, multiple small plates and even get baklava to share, alongside a hot drink each! Such great value, always wonderful service and quality food and drink. I would definitely recommend eating here!

Visited Koocha recently on two separate occasions. Once on a Sunday for their Sunday roast which was great! Loved their sides - particularly the Oyster wings. Wow!!! Loved them!

Best vegan junk and traditional Persian food! I couldn’t believe the Saffron and Tahini skewers were vegan, the flavour is just like how my family used to make chicken kebobs. Incredible. We also ordered in the discounted weekday price so it was super cheap, only £30 for 2 people with delivery. We have leftovers too.

Absolutely love Koocha, if we lived in Bristol I would visit here so frequently! We do go at every opportunity. The food is absolutely incredible, so flavourful. Vegan heaven! The staff are lovely and the actual venue is cute. Defo recommend the oyster mushroom dish!

I love koocha, they’ve made some seriously tasty food and you wouldn’t know it’s vegan. Had the big breakfast which was so delightful. Normally have the kebab as it’s delicious but wanted to try something different, wasn’t disappointed Friendly service and the place is very nice, especially now they’ve got the fantastic Lucas antics graffiti on the exterior

LOVE Koocha. 💕 This is the second time I've been and the food (and cocktails) were just as incredible as they were a year ago. The shish kebabs are melt-in-your-mouth gorgeous. Plus, the staff have a fab table manner, even when it's busy. Possibly my favourite place to eat out in Bristol!

Fun vegan restaurant. Jojeh kebab was delicious as were the garlic and special fries. I would say that one kebab is a small portion for one person. If I were to go again I’d suggest 1 kebab and fries between two people and a couple of mezze plates to share. My favourite dish we had was the gaymeh, closely followed by the kotlet.

Incredible food! Honestly, it was too hard to choose which dishes to eat as they all looked so good. The apple crumble cocktail 👌 Friendly, attentive staff made the experience even better. 10/10 no complaints

Amazing food! I want to just work my way through every item on the menu! Great gluten free options and easy allergen information. Staff were all so friendly and knowledgable about the dishes. Special thanks to Freya who really looked after us. I can’t wait to come back!

My friend suggested Koocha for a Saturday lunch. We called ahead and just about managed to get a late table, they were busy, a good sign! The service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive table service. We sat upstairs. The menu was as creative and colourful as the decor, which I love. I ordered the Shakshuka with fried fake egg, and my friend the chicken-less burger. Our dishes arrived quickly, were presented beautifully and were piping hot! 10/10 The taste of the Shakshuka was absolutely perfect. Just the right amount of spice and flavour and the fake egg was a real surprise and delight! My friend quizzed the server about the blue burger bun and though they didn't know the answer, they went to find out (just food colouring!) but nothing was too much trouble! I had a gorgeous pot of rose tea and plenty of water, (I love it when you're given a jug for the table as a norm)...so I used the facilities...and am pleased to report that they were clean and well stocked! Lovely vibe, highly recommended.

Omg! The food is soooo delicious ? My husband and I were visiting Bristol, and being plant-based wholefood vegans opposed to junk food vegans, often find it very difficult to find good wholesome vegan food. Koocha excelled in the quality of their mezzes, which we had with inspirational rice dishes. The coffee was also excellent. I wish there were more vegan places to eat like Koocha. You will need to pre book your table, and I would recommend doing so as soon as you can as it's only a small place.

The food here is amazing! The restaurant is a great place to relax and dine with friends! The staff are super friendly and the place is so cool! The only downside is that the portions are relatively small and is priced quite high compared to other places. But do not be put off, it is truly worth it!

Everything about this place was fantastic, the food was absolutely delicious and the server recommended some dishes which I'm glad I tried. The service was absolutely brilliant, the staff were so warm and friendly I felt so welcome. The overall look and feel of the place is great too - I would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting Bristol vegan or not

I went there with my wife and between us we had 8 dishes, including 2 desserts, and every one of them was amazing! We shared 5 Mezze dishes and a plate of dirty fries (which was by far the best dirty fries I've ever had), and then washed it down with Backlava and an incredible cheesecake! The staff were all friendly and the setup was lovely. Easily in my top 3 restaurants in the UK, probably sitting comfortably at #1 or #2. Highly recommended!

Absolutely delicious Sunday roast. You'd never guess it was vegan. They kindly made a gravy without wine for us too. Service was a bit slow but we were upstairs and I guess that affected things. Overall highly recommend.

Wow! I've been vegan 8 years and this has to be one of if not THE best meal I've ever had. How they got the "beef wellington" to flake like that is pure sorcery. I have had their mezze before (so so good too!) but their Sunday Roast was absolutely delicious. My omni parents were in awe and I'm so happy that I got to share this experience with them. Beautiful restaurant inside and out. Service was a tad slow, but I think our table was the exception that day and we didn't mind as it was a super busy service and understandable, it gave us a good chance to catch up. Desserts were equally lovely, unfortunately they didn't have the brownie so I tried the pistachio marshmallow cheesecake, which is not something I would normally go for but I'm so glad I did! Thanks Koocha, I'll be back as soon as I can

Delicious food and really friendly, helpful staff! Our waitress was really nice and helped us pick the right food for us to make sure we'd enjoy what we'd chosen. The food was lovely, I'd recommend the Kookoo balls in particular and wish I'd had room to try dessert!

As someone who rarely eats vegetarian food, the vegan food was genuinely lovely here and left feeling very fulfilled (and healthy). The staff were very helpful and friendly. Quite expensive for the small mezze dishes (you have to buy quite a few) but worth it as a treat

Amazing food - honestly the best vegan food I've had in Bristol. Particularly recommend the vegan fish cakes and aubergine dip! Also best falafel I've ever had. Highly, highly recommend.

Amazingly tasty food, you'd barely notice it was vegan so carnivores would likely still be satisfied! Mezze absolutely perfect for sharing with a group. Service was very slow - we arrived at 7pm and didn't get food til 8pm. The restaurant was very loud, my friend struggled to hear me speaking when he was sat right next to me! Would definitely visit again though as the food was great value for money. £3 for a small bottle of coke was a bit much though!

I'VE BEEN TWICE IN THE LAST WEEK! The Mezze choices are amazing, and reasonably priced. I tried one of the kebab options which again was so delicious... Everything is full of flavour, and it's a really cute restaurant too!

Amazing array of dishes, all delicious! We wanted to try everything but sadly there were only two of us. Maybe not the best choice for a quick dinner, as service was a little slow as the restaurant was so popular! Overall fantastic food - I would highly recommend.

Fantastic vegan restaurant with an exciting and diverse menu. The various tapas choices you will find it hard to pick you favourites and the dirty fires are a must try. Some great unique cocktail choices available. Make sure to reserve a table as it does get busy.

Everything was delicious and we will absolutely be back to try more of their menu items. Their all-vegan Persion delights, now include a bottomless brunch option! I can't believe it took us this long to try the tasty offerings here, but oh man, am I glad we made it happen! My three-year-old demolished a generous helping of veggies along with their homemade hummus and fresh bread.

Visited for a family get together , initially quite slow with the drinks service and not all drinks came out together as a couple had been missed off the order BUT eventually resolved , the food was amazing and the cocktails were so good , if i lived in Bristol this place would be a regular visit , staff were friendly - recommended !

Visited for the first time this week and was really impressed with the incredible flavours. The staff were great, especially Jimena and Freja who were super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations (which was needed as there is such a huge range of choice that all sounded so good!) Will definitely be returning!

Entirely vegan establishment which always gets this lifelong vegan off to a positive start. Good advice about how to choose a selection of mezze dishes which was super helpful but I didn't like the herby stew. Everything else was lovely, I had falafel, tabbouleh and artichoke dip and I tried vegan baklava for the first time. They add the service charge on to the bill, even for a table of two. I was going to tip anyway so I thought that was a bit cheeky but perhaps things have changed since the pandemic - as this was my first meal out in 2 years!

Fantastic venue staff n food. Misses wasn’t a fan of the vegan cheesecake tho. Biscuit base was soggy n not a pleasant texture. The rest was fantastic. Also not a fan of added service charge. I’d happily give a tip but added charges for a meal for two Not good etiquette in the uk :(.

Well, I must admit, I was slightly dubious about an all vegan venue for Friday night dinner, but after tasting the food realised I might have been wrong! So good.. evidence - I had eaten half of my dinner before I got round to taking a picture! Only criticism, those compostable takeaway containers don't do well in the rain!!

We went to Koocha to celebrate my partners birthday with the kids. Despite being vegetarian for some time this was the first vegan restaurant we had eaten in. To start with, and because it was a birthday celebration, we started with cocktails, all of which were brilliant. We went for a variety of mezzes and they just kept coming with amazing variety and flavours. We shall definitely be going back

Great food in this small restaurant with colorful and friendly vibes. Drinks are just as good. Everything is vegan: whatever magic they use, their food is fantastic. The waiting time might be longer than expected during busy hours but it's well worth it once food is rolled out. The only downside is the small size of the restaurant compared to its big popularity, making the time allowed to enjoy dinner very limited.

Fantastic food and great friendly service. I'm not vegan but my sister is , so we chose a vegan restaurant at random for a night out. So glad we chose this one. There are a lot of mezze options and she loved that she didn't have to worry about what she could eat. We also got the dirty fries to share and they were so delicious. Cocktail selection is also really good and I can recommend the bramble!

  • 5/5 Jade M. 5 years ago on Google
What a spread! Came here as a vegan with a non-vegan friend on his recommendation and we were not disappointed- our meal was absolutely delicious from beginning to end. The only dish that wasn’t spectacular was the gaymeh, an aubergine lentil dish; the lentils seemed a little hard and there was a little too much cinnamon for my personal tastes - but it was still perfectly fine. The other dishes blew us away - especially the eggless kookoo (WOW!) and the veggie fritters. The garlic sweet potato mash was the stuff of dreams, and the flatbread - oh my. I never knew bread could be that soft and fragrant and light and amazing!! The ‘special fries’ with paprika were good but we probably would’ve been fine with plain fries as there was so much on the table. We also tried a couple of the mocktails - a rich and fruity Bramble Patch, and a cool, sophisticated Eastern Breeze - and then split a bottle of temperanillo with the food, a great wine that paired nicely ?

Great vegetarian! Mezze style! The menu is available for 4 - £12 or each £3,50 with varied options, enjoyed every one of them but I must say that the spiced cauliflower, aubergine dip and rissoles were my favourite. Super friendly staff and the restaurant had a nice style lifting considering the previous space. Hope you enjoy it as I did

We were recommended Koocha on visiting Bristol and are both so glad! The food is incredible, I highly recommend the 4 plate mezze deal with a side of bread as it is a perfect amount of food for two people for lunch... And you get to try different things! I'd also like to thank our waitress (I didn't catch her name) because she was so fun and helpful and really made the experience that much better. Definitely worth a visit if you are ever visiting Bristol.
