Went last night and had the taster menu. The space was ambient, intimate and rustic (don't expect linen table cloths). The staff were attentive, enthusiastic, friendly, helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. The food was creative, interfering, delicious and well executed. The cheese was insane and tasted as good as any real non vegan gorgonzola I'd ever had. I personally found a bit too much sweetness in a few of the dishes including the main course. However I would return without hesitation. Fantastic!

Lunch @no12nottingham No.Twelve is an award winning, plant based restaurant, set in the heart of Nottingham for those that don't know. We had their lunch special sharing for two at £32 which is exceptional value. Our choice was Snack English Sushi Sharing dish Faux Camembert Tasting Plates Hispi & Prosciutto Wholegrain Croquettes Added extra dish of Parmentier potatoes £5.50 OMG.Just look at them. Worth every penny😋 As we are gannets we could not leave without having desserts. Bananna & Miso Strawberry & Basil You don't have to be a Vegan or Vegetarian to enjoy good honest well cooked and presented food. It's not won countless awards just for being pretty. This is must visit restaurant. Oh, In the evening they do a 7 course tasting menu £55pp Review helpful please like 👍 follow thanks

Looking for vegan food from Google map & found this restaurant which located in the town centre of Nottingham, UK. Remember to book a table beforehand. It’s a small restaurant but cozy. Full house during lunchtime. Restaurant recommends 3 plates for each person. Then we ordered 7 small plates for two people plus 2 desserts afterward. Overall food was tasty and well presented. Love WINTER SQUASH TART, CAULIFLOWER SATAY, HEN OF THE WOOD, RASPBERRY SHERBETS, TREACLE TART… Even though food tasted mostly very strong and felt a bit thirsty later on but it was a good lunch indeed.

My husband and I visited No.12 for dinner last night and thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu. Such a variety of flavours, all plant based! Service was great and the atmosphere was really lovely. The reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was my husband’s birthday and although I had specified it in my reservation notes, there was no acknowledgment of this whatsoever. I was hoping they would do a birthday plate with the dessert or something similar. In fact the table next to us received exactly that and I was certain they will do the same for my husband, unfortunately it was not the case. Another small criticism is that we had to use the same cutlery for the first 5 courses. I like the fact that their concept is a more casual fine dining and we were definitely not expecting to have fresh cutlery with each course, however after finishing the main course (number 4) our forks and knives were completely covered in sauce so we decided to place them on the plate after finishing. The waiter then kindly asked us to keep the cutlery as we needed to use them for yet another course! The table got covered in sticky sauce as we placed them directly on it. I feel like that may have also compromised the taste of the next dish as we essentially ate it with the sauce of the previous dish! This might be something they would want to change in the future..

The waiter made this place. Sure he had his patter down and we heard our warm hearted greeting and welcome repeated to others but it worked. Even if he didn’t really care he came across as a man who knew his onions. Actually he knew his Heritage courgettes, but that’s not a saying so I had to say onions first. He made recommendations and we were stuffed after. A really tasty feed. Would recommend to non veggie weirdos too to maybe open their eyes to the possibility that food can be tasty as you like without dead animals being involved.

Amazing food and drinks, couldn’t believe it was vegan. The cheese platter was delicious with the bread. Service wasn’t good, it seemed like they were short staffed. We sat with dirty empty plates and dishes from the starter all through to desert and it was still on the table when we left. Other than that a great experience food wise.

My wife and I dined at No 12 for lunch. The service was very friendly and helpful. The tasting plates were excellent as can be seen from the photos. My wife had two different cocktails, similar types to what she would usual have, but didn't like either of them. They both appeared and tasted a little processed and lacking in fresh flavour. Perhaps a selection issue. Would however recommend the food.

Really disappointed. Most of the dishes were nice, but some were a little bland and under seasoned. But what really got me were the prices. Approximately 10quid for each dish with most of them only having 2 small items on them. Crazyily overpriced for the portion size. We spent over 125quid and then had to go to Oscar and Rosie's for a quick top up. Sorry but I won't be back. The waitress was nice and attentive.

Visited in the fall, an my time here still lingers in the mind, they are doing truly great things at this restaurant, it is culinary perfection. Certainly a treasure for vegans and a real eye opener for non vegans, both will enjoy the exceptional dishes and service. It's worth going out of your way to visit.

We went for the brie, pear and corn, with a blueberry cocktail. All divinely tasty, my favourite was the brie which I strongly recommend for most humans who like tasty food. Friendly staff, in a cozy venue that feels well spaced out for seating.

We had a fantastic meal at No. Twelve. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the food is delicious. The Katsu and Cauliflower dumplings were our firm favourites! We can’t wait to visit again soon.

I have to say, this is a lovely place and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food while nicely presented, wasn’t as nice as expected. The faux meat platter was excellent - shame it didn’t come with any crackers - the highlight of our dinner for sure. The other dishes were nice enough but our expectations were higher based on all the reviews we’ve seen online; some of the dishes were just bland (for example the pearl barley dish or the cauliflower tart) and we would not have ordered them again. Cocktails were delicious and not too expensive. Overall it was a nice enough experience but the place is a bit over-hyped.

I went here for my 36th birthday as I'd always loved eating at Number 12 before it moved to the new building. This was easily the best meal I've eaten in 31 years before and 5 years since becoming vegan. This isn’t just great vegan food, this is incredible food full stop. Only down side is that we were all so excited about the food we forgot to leave a tip and felt terrible about it the rest of the evening. Shall be leaving a double tip the next time we visit, which will hopefully be soon! For a tapas style restaurant, each dish was still large enough I felt like I could share a bit of each so that everyone got to experience each dish. I was unable to find a single dish that wasn't enjoyable, even the carrot salad that I turned my nose up at on the menu was actually delicious in reality when I tried a bit of it my friend ordered. I would strongly recommend the sharing board, the camembert, the king oyster mushrooms, and the potatoes. The new building is so lovely and had a very relaxing atmosphere and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive as they always have been both before and after moving to its current location. Finally is worth noting that while me and my wife are both vegan, our two friends who went with us are not and they were equally as blown away by the food as we were. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Stunningly presented plant-based food, often challenging flavour combinations, served delifightfully and paired with just enough booze. Smart and elegant venue. Get the tasting menu. This was a sublime meal and a joyous night out. One of Nottingham 's very best.

Very impressed with the skill of the cooking at n.o 12 the risotto, bhaji, bao and mushrooms were amazing. I'm not vegan but some of the dishes like the risotto were so savoury and well balanced they tasted as good as any other fine dining dish I've had. For me the satay was underwhelming, the spicing was to subtle and there was no taste of nuts the service and atmosphere were great. The staff were sufficiently informal that you could relax but they were still very efficient and attentive. We felt very welcome. Unfortunately I really dislike the small plates concept I wish there was the option to have a full sized risotto or mushroom pasta for instance. Shared 5 dishes with my partner and I wasn't really full afterwards. We could have got another dish but I personally would prefer to share two starters then just have one well balanced dish.

Super meal here for our anniversary. Food was all fantastic, beautifully presented and delicious. Staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. We had the tasting menu which was good value for money and great wine pairing. A very wide selection of lesser known wines which were paired perfectly with each course. Our only criticism (and this is being very very picky!) is that the cutlery wasn't as high quality as everything else!

Absolutely beautiful food 💚 We really enjoyed ourselves today. The lunch time special is a great offer! We shared everything between 3 of us (ordered extra plates alongside the lunch offer) It worked out to around £29 each. We were expecting the portions to be small, but they weren't at all! The best thing about it is it's all vegan! I'm not vegan but my friend is and it was so nice for her to have to worry about accidentally being spiked with animal products. The food is so filling and is a real treat for the senses. The staff were also super nice and attentive. We would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back!

I went for the 5 course on valentines at £50pp Food was very nice and well presented however I do feel like it lacked a little on flavour and I was chasing a unique kick to the dishes! For the price I’d like something a touch more extravagant. I also found the table service way too quick the dishes were being collected whilst still chewing my last mouthful and the next plate would land before I could blink! This kind of ruined the experience for us on valentines as it felt so rushed and we had a bottle of red to get through! A nice restaurant with great potential I just don’t think the price reflects the overall experience. With the service charge, carbon charge and our food, we spent £150 and was out just over an hr!

Had a great time eating at No. Twelve. The variety of food was great and there was such a diversity of flavours across the different small plates. The dessert in particular was amazing we had the chocolate orange.

Always a 5 star experience, the food is incredible, the service always excellent, and the venue is always clean tidy with nice music etc. can’t fault it at all. We go once a year to celebrate our anniversary

We had a lovely dinner here! Great, speedy service; staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was well presented and you could see the skill and time that was spent creating the dishes. The food was really flavoursome, and for the high quality it was good value. We particularly enjoyed the artichoke fritti and the orange chocolate dessert. However we did feel that the heritage vegetable dish was overpriced at £7.50 for six slices of courgette with a bit of drizzle on, particularly compared to other dishes e.g. £6 for a whole bowl of potatoes or £8.50 for a more ample, complex and beautifully constructed dessert.

No twelve is an excellent place to go if you’re looking for amazing food especially for a special occasion. We’ve been twice now and the menu was different and amazing both times. Such high quality vegan food and presentation and excellent service as well, set in a nice little building with a great atmosphere just in a quiet corner next to the city centre. I had the deep fried “Brie” which was insanely good. It is quite pricey but you get what you pay for so definitely worth going for a special occasion. Looking forward to going again at some point.

Delicious food, every dish had it's own extraordinary flavour. Nice calm atmosphere. The only thing is that you've got 1,5 hour to eat so it felt I had to rush

Went here for the lunch special. Arrived unreasonably early, but they were able to seat us anyway which was excellent. Service was quick and friendly. Food was excellent, I particularly enjoyed the "hen of the woods" dish. The camembert was also superb. Would definitely come again.

Me and my partner came here last night for our 6 year anniversary and it didnt disappoint! We came last year with friends and enjoyed it but they have upped their game even more now. The tapas style dishes make it easier for people like me to have a mix of everything. We had 6 dishes, bread and dessert each and was nicely full. The pear potato cakes were out of this world and the smoked aubergine is also a must with some bread! There wasn't one dish I didn't like!

  • 5/5 Lauren W. 7 months ago on Google
What a treasure of a place! Came here with friends for a hen do celebration and was absolutely blown away by the food and great service. You can tell everything is made fresh using the best quality ingredients. As a non vegan I would certainly recommend to anyone vegan or not as a wonderful restaurant for exceptional food and exceptional staff who are clearly passionate about what they do!

We had a wonderful 15th anniversary dinner. I loved the creamy blackberry fizz. We particularly enjoyed the faux casement sharer, the garden verrine, the kimchi wantons and of course the parmentier potatoes. As you can see we also had a special strawberry and basil dessert! 🙏⭐❤

  • 5/5 John C. 2 years ago on Google
Absolutely AWESOME! The entire meal was 5 stars from the testing dishes to the desserts. Any dish ordered from here promises to please. Don't pass up an opportunity to taste the Faux Camembert dish.. it's to die for!

I've been here twice now and loved it both times! I love that the plates are small so you can order lots of things to try. The mushroom dish was incredible, definitely my favourite. We also tried the camembert which tasted so good, I still can't believe it's vegan! Very impressive. Can't wait to come back and try even more of the menu

  • 5/5 Mandeep K. 2 years ago on Google
This place was all vegan and I enjoyed the experience, the menu is a tapas taster style but the portions are generous, you all need to try the King Oyster Mushrooms!!! Was in truffle heaven the mushroom mousse was so good I ordered 2! Also the Brie & Brioche with vegan brie is a must try! Ideally 3 to 4 dishes from the menu is ideal and I had a nice evening was quiet not overcrowded and would recommend anyone who wants to try vegan artisan dinning this is the place to go. I will be back again very soon. Thank you for making my day special first meal out since lockdown! And was worth it 💛

Bland overpriced vegan food with poor service. The food presentation looks excellent but the food taste is flavourless. We went for are 17 year's wedding anniversary when booking this restaurant I mentioned this in the booking and also went to the counter and mentioned it again no complimentary tea or anything or even a happy anniversary staff was busy and was uninterested. Nearly £80 with no alcohol we have been many restaurants that are vegan and this was the worst for price and service and taste maybe it's how we looked. I am giving a 2 star for the presentation

  • 5/5 Nova H. 2 years ago on Google
What a great experience. The service was second to none, helpful and friendly. Also gave us options when to get served the food. The food was delicious, and you won't believe that vegan food can be this good but it is. Will certainly come back.

Stunning. The age old red brick walls with simple yet stunning floral decorations, quaint furniture and low fi beats make for relaxed feel. The wine is magnificent, the food divine and service absolutely impeccable. 6 stars.

Excellent food and service / experience. Paying very little really for great well thought out food and ingredients. It’s a must for any vegans or anyone! The Brie and brioche was 10/10

Best vegan food I’ve ever had in a restaurant 😋 so nice and fresh, feels healthy rather than processed vegan food which I find quite common for vegan food in restaurants. This is my 2nd visit now and I already can’t wait to go again. The menu changes every season and they’re tasting plates which I think is a good idea because you try more dishes! The service is always great and staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

  • 5/5 Ian D. 1 year ago on Google
As an omnivore I rate this as a great food experience. My wife, who is vegan, was delighted to go somewhere where she had choice. The kids, who are fussy at times, enjoyed the food too. In the end we shared nearly every dish available. Think vegan tapas sized dishes. We also has the special. I would be surprised if anyone given the cheese dishes could tell if they were vegan. Very tasty desserts: ice cream and a kind of deconstructed treacle tart. The staff were friendly and helpful. On the pricier side, but worth it. Definitely will go again.

Lovely food - and we’re both confirmed meat eaters! Very inventive recipes. Had the £40 weekend lunch special plus extra potatoes - ample for two. Would definitely recommend.

This is our second visit to this plant based restaurant. The menu seems quite seasonal so was different to the first time we came but equally excellent. Every mouthful is amazing. Even as a non-vegan it is in my top eating experiences. My vegan partner lost her mind with excitement.

  • 5/5 Jess C. 1 year ago on Google
Honestly amazing. Exquisite vegan fine dining but with a nice casual friendly atmosphere. Had the winter menu and tried so many foods you never usually see on a vegan menu (the prosciutto and cheese sharer was a spiritual experience to eat) and can’t wait to come back again to try the other seasonal menus! Also tried every cocktail on the menu and that in itself was an amazing tasting experience - would recommend to literally everyone I know

  • 5/5 Sarah C. 9 months ago on Google
Beautiful building tucked away with the option to also sit outside. Fabulous selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails, service was wonderful from lovely, friendly staff, and the food was fantastic! I am not vegan and was amazed by the delightful tapas style selection we ordered, beautifully presented and delicious! A great selection of wines, and we had a beautiful sparkling rose.

  • 5/5 James B. 8 months ago on Google
Delicious as always, one of our favourite restaurants and seems to get better every time we visit, every plate was delicious with the pumpkin family being our favourite this time. Incredible!

  • 5/5 Annette S. 8 months ago on Google
This was the first time I had been for a fine dining experience and I wasn’t disappointed. The food with drink pairing was fabulous and service and information given on each course was very good, my only disappointment was for the money we paid I was expecting a full fine dining experience which I have never had and found it a little too relaxed and informal. I didn’t like that it was dog friendly even though I have a dog myself and the music could have been better maybe a bit of smooth jazz! Overall it was an amazing experience and one I hope I can experience again.

Had the Valentine’s Day menu costing £50 per person (£130) bill. The first dish was the best and it got worse as we went along. For the price you pay for the food here, we expected a lot more. Some of the dishes were seemingly bought in and not made in house (a single chocolate costing £10). The service was very rushed and feel the staff were a bit unfriendly - we saw the back of servers before the food even landed on the table. Oh and the service charge they include on all bills is ludicrous for the service given. Shame really as we were recommended but won’t be returning. Sadly it is doing the vegan community a disservice ripping us off!

We finally managed to get over to No12 after years of waiting for the opportunity! (From York) The decor and ambiance was beautiful, service was excellent and the drink selection was absolutely perfect. We opted for the tasing menu with drinks pairing. (My drink highlight being the pickled ginger and yuzu cocktail) We had very high expectations for the meal, but my god, it exceeded those expectations. The food was outstanding, unbelievable flavours and presentation, their next stop must be a Michelin star. And no, we didn’t miss meat nor dairy. Stop what you’re doing and book a table.
