This place is a hidden Gem. I almost hate to give such a nice review because the next time I’m in Hot Springs, SD — you will be staying here! This place has the touch of owners you can tell love hospitality. From the friendly greeting, to an unexpected and elaborate wine selection available for purchase in the lobby, to a naturally spring next door, this place feels like love. The beds are a comfy foam style being soft but not too soft. The bathrooms make you feel like you are a spa. Yes the rooms are drive up to outside but if you are like us that was a plus as you only have to move your luggage a few feet to be in your room. If you aren’t hung up on overpaying for value then give this place a chance! I don’t think you will be disappointed. Food is walking distance and the location can’t be beat for all Hot Springs has to offer. Enjoy!

We had a comfortable stay. The bed in the cabin was really comfortable. The owners were very kind and gave us a discount because we arrived late. The location is excellent. The breakfast cart and patio area are really cute. I appreciated the fact that this is a pet friendly establishment. I know the owners are in the process of making some updates so I anticipate this will only get better from here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at this Wonderful hotel. The newly renovated rooms left us super comfortable and happy with a great rainfall shower. On top of that there is a great cafe just next door with great options. With this hotel being centrally located and comfortable, we ended up extending our stay an extra night because we loved it so much. I recommend staying here next time you're coming through Hot Springs! It's a great place to stay if visiting hot springs and wind cave park.

Springs Lodge and Cafe was an amazing stay on our cross country motorcycle trip and a complete breath of fresh air for hotels in this price range. The new owners have worked very hard to update and clean up this hotel. The rooms were clean and modern with excellent wood aesthetics in the furniture. They sell wine and some snacks in the front reception area and they have a coffee shop in the morning for Breakfast. When we stayed it was still under Americas Best Value Inn which had a storied past. The family that owns it knows are locals and have owned several businesses in the area and care very much in the quality and experience of each of their guests. While we only stayed one night we wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Thanks for everything guys!

We had a great experience! We called and were able to get last minute accommodations (due to another guest leaving early), with our room ready within 2 hours of the call! Phil has a real flair for customer service, making you feel at home. The remodeled rooms are lovely - a woodsy contemporary feel. The bed was comfortable and that A/C blasts! In the room there was a chaise chair perfect for my dog to lay on (the queen that she is). The location is amazing! It’s right in the heart of historic Hot Springs and immediately next to the natural mineral spring (bring an empty jug to fill up with natural mineral spring water). The cafe attached had delicious caramel rolls and fantastic coffee options. Highly suggest this place for your stay!

I really like his place. It is owner operated and you can tell they take pride in what they do. They have the best service of any motel I have been in. Most of not all of the rooms have just been renovated. There is still room for improvement on the outside of the building but I bet it will be done soon. I have been staying there off and on for a year and I will continue .

We come to Hot Springs about every other month to see family. This last trip was a little longer than usual so we decided to spend a little extra to have more room. I was glad we did. This place was lovely. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Plenty of hot water for the shower. Location was great. And the owners were fantastic. We had everything we needed. Will definitely stay there again! Definitely recommend.

We stayed here on a road trip and it worked out great! Pet-friendly and staying in one of the cabins gave us plenty of space. Phil was very accommodating and the breakfast burrito from the café was fantastic. Great spot!
