Circle Antique & Flea Market

Antique store Thrift store

👍👍 I have been going to this store for over a decade. There are well over 100 different vendors and always new things coming in. This place is one of the best for deals. Almost everything is either priced fair or is a good deal. I have hardly ever seen a way overpriced item here. It is a mix of antique... People often mention items,

I have been going to this store for over a decade. There are well over 100 different vendors and always new things coming in. This place is one of the best for deals. Almost everything is either priced fair or is a good deal. I have hardly ever seen a way overpriced item here. It is a mix of antique and vintage and a few flea market type things but most stuff is older, so no new sock/hat/tshirt booths. There is also the quarter barn outside - I mean how many places can you even get stuff for a quarter at anymore? Good mix of stuff, something for everyone type place. They are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday though. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area.

Heading back from the Detroit area, we diverted to see a more famous antique mall, but frankly this was the true gem on our trip! It's open Fridays and the weekend only, but deceptively bigger than it seems from the parking lot. Lots of treasures with price points making them accessible to newer collectors and thrifty buyers. Most items I saw were midcentury through the 1980s. I spotted a fantastic Disneyana stall with items ranging from 25 cents (a notepad) to $32 for 1960s and 1980s games and souvenirs. Lots of collectible tools (there's one area marked "tool alley"), toy cars, kitchen items (cookbooks, cookie cutters, dishes, company branded novelties, an entire stall of affordable, matched salt and pepper shakers from the 20th century). One stall had Star Trek collectible ornaments. Another had stained glass ornament baking kits.

I have come here for many years and have always enjoyed this place. The people who work here are usually very nice. Today I was here with my son and we were followed around by a man with glasses (who obviously thought we were going to steal). When told him I knew what he was doing he was combative and became hostile. He told me we "looked weird". This was upsetting as I have been here many times and bought many items over the years. He was obviously hellbent on making us uncomfortable and just wanted us to leave bc he did not like the way we looked. I know he thought he was saving his business from "evil shoplifters" but what he really was doing was alienating a regular customer. I was very upset and said a few things I would rather not repeat here, I should not have said them and should have just left the moment I realized how I was being treated. I don't know if he thought I was "weird" bc I plugged in a ghost blow mold to see if it worked/lit up (it didn't) or if he thought we just looked strange for whatever reason but this is how NOT to treat your customers. I am sad bc I liked this place and like I said have come here many times for many years. I drive 35 minutes to come here. I am not sure if the guy is the owner or an employee (I have never seen him before). I know he felt he was doing the right thing but all he did was take money I could have spent (and I have spent a lot over the years here) on his vendor's items. This is not a good way to treat customers. It is a good way to lose them. If you have issues with theft maybe get cameras or something? Overzealous harassment and confrontation with long time customers is not the way to go.

Many quality vintage and antique items at reasonable prices, none of the usual junk that you find in most antique malls. Clean and well organized. Friendly staff and three sweet dogs to greet you! Highly recommended.
