It's very sad to see how quickly this place degraded its quality. The world is changing every day and we all have to accept changes. The vintage vibes and the quintessential charm of this resturant is what attracted me to this eatery every time I visited new market. Recently the staff has become rude and the person in charge isn't working enough to improve this place for the betterment. The food quality has degraded. Half the items weren't available. I wish I get back the old Regent i loved visiting ✨

Good restaurant for marketing purposes.. They take only cash it's not good.. I had try there biryani it's really nice and all meet are well boiled and no golabjal at all... Really food quality was super... But there ONLY CASH ...I think something GHOTALA ...inside the restaurant 👍

I went there today for the first time. Interior- Its an old restaurant as the interior suggests. It can be easily changed to an air -conditioned restaurant, but i dont know why its still like this. During summer, it will be impossible to sit inside and have food. Interior needs to get improved. Space is very large and good number of seating capacity. Location- its located in the prime area of kolkata. Large markets are around the restaurant. Its easy to locate. One can have a good meal here. Staff- Some handful of staffs are there. Their behaviour is very good. They are polite and assist their customers always whenever one need them. Food- quantity is very good according to price. But some of the items are over priced. Like i took, 1 plate of veg fried rice, 4 pieces of chilli chicken and a plate of green salad. Fried rice costs 190/- which is enough for two person. But the chilli chicken costs 170/- for 4 pieces and 300 for 8 pieces. Too much over priced. Still taste is good. They have cone ice cream stall too. Price is reasonable for ice cream. Payments- no UPI or card payments accepted. Only cash payments accepted. This will create proble for those who will run out of cash and wish to opt for online or card payments. But dont worry! There are ATMs , just opposite to the restaurant.

Worthless in terms of everything now. Far away from what it was some thirty years back. Foods are pricey with lesser amount. Service is poor. We ordered chicken bharta and what served was very difficult to dustinguish as chicken bharta. They took 280 bucks for each plate and dont get me ashamed by asking about the amount of food. Very bad experience.

Myself a regular client of Regent (Jessore Road). Today we visited for lunch. We became very upset after seeing the quantity of the food was very less. Not accepted at all. When you are charging a decent amount of money against any item, you should justify the price. Have to think twice before visiting.

It is near Kolkata Corporation at Esplanade. It is a non A. C Resturant with medium price. It has the old cabin also, where 4 people can take their meal separately. There is no extra cost for cabin facility.
