Great traditional Lao food in Champasak in a local atmosphere. Don’t get put off by the table/chairs, its worth stepping out of the comfort zone to find one of the best food. The host (former guide) speaks perfectly english and his wife are very kind people. I would recommend the nem khao ‘crispy rice salad’ as it is a dish hardly found in restaurants! Its fresh, crispy and tasty!

We came here twice and had six different dishes of which six were totally awesome! Best restaurant in town, best in Laos for us so far! Super friendly owner, chillout music, moderate prices (actually to cheap😉) Worth a five star rating 🖐️👍

My favorite in Champassak. Superb service. Like the rustic setting. Owned by a nice laotien couple with two youg children. Their breakfast deal is hard to beat.

Totally agree with all the positive reviews! Food is great, the atmosphere is charming and the amount of attention to small details make it truly an enchanting experience! The owners are friendly, open-hearted and the husband speaks English very well, making the small talk easy if you're into conversation. Recommended if you're in Champassak!

Try their Nam Khao. Very interesting and tasty traditional lao dish that I hadn't seen before. First dish I've had in Lao that didn't feel like could have just ordered a better version in Thailand. The man who owns the place is very friendly.

Best food of our trip so far (6 weeks in Thailand & Laos). Everything we tried was excellent - staff were lovely too. We liked it so much we went there 4 times! We also did a cookery course and then you see how much preparation goes into the dishes. It was a lovely way to spend an afternoon and then we sat down and ate what we'd cooked

Very tasty food in this cosy family run place. And they played very nice music! You can feel how they cook with a lot of care and love. Also, they are very welcoming and attentive to the clientele. And they give cooking lessons, but i didn't attend.

We came here multiple times and every time the food was delicious! They serve fresh and homemade dishes for a very good price. We also loved the breakfast here, they have their own freshly baked bread. The owner is a very nice guy too!

After reading the reviews I had high expectations. Maybe too high, and maybe I didn’t choose the right things from the menu, but my fried vegetables noodles were definitely too salty and the fried spring rolls too fluffy. My friend’s tom yam chicken soup and the salad were fine though. Setting was nice too and service was super, so absolutely worth a second try. It’s seems to be a popular place, so they obviously do something good.

Excellent and tasty food. One of the best papaya salads we have had in laos. Super spicy which is what we asked for and got it. Highly recommend to go here for the food. And the tamarind sauce with the chicken was so tasty. We are still trying to work out what was in it. Thank you for a great lunch today

This place is a gem and honestly one of the best places we've eaten at in Laos. We originally were not planning to try it at first but heard locals rave about the food here, so we gave it a try and ended up coming back for every meal. The Naem Khao, a dish very rarely available, is very tasty here. The homemade baguette at breakfast is surprisingly delicious. Best in town!

Delicious food and welcoming staff. Looks basic as an establishment so don’t judge it. We had steam Chicken in banana leaf and it was delicious. Fresh lemon and mint ice drink was super refreshing. Would definitely eat here again.

Very nice place, delicious Lao food, homemade lemonades (lemon grass was amazing), very friendly Lao family and informative menu. Hope to visit again!

We went there 4 times during our stay and all of the dishes were amazing!! The food was really authentic, fresh and homemade. The family is very friendly, he speaks perfectly well english (he used to be a guide who stopped working to help his wife raising the small kids) and his kids are super sweet! Absolute must is the ‘Nem Khao’ or crispy rice salad 1/ You won’t find that dish anywhere else in Laos!! 2/ it is delicious, crispy, fresh, tasty, sour 3/ eat it the Lao way: wrap whatever you have (in the plate) in a salad leaf! 4/ tell your family and friends you have tasted the real lao food and try to find that dish in a restaurant in your hometown...

Bounmy (owner) is super friendly with very good sense of humor and good English. All meals we had were delicious and well priced therefore we returned there couple more times during our stay in Champasak. This place is a must and highly recommended when you are in Champasak.

Excellent small restaurant with tardy Lao food. Quite fast. Very good price. Fried noodles are excellent. Nel Khao is unbelievable and very original. The homemade drinks are very refreshing, especially after a long Walt at Way Phou temple. Perfect match to finish the visit!
