Perfect place to stay. Everything clean and working. Beautifull sight from the window (room nr. 8)

For me The River Resort is the most beautiful hotel in Laos. I have come here for more than 4 years and it is always wonderful and our guests always wanted us to stay longer. The staff is extremely friendly and the whole resort is designed and run with love

One of the most beautiful hotels we have seen in Laos. Very clean and quite rooms integrated in the pretty nature around the hotel. Staff is very well trained with a good English Level. Definitly a plus is the SPA and the Restaurant.

Great hotel in superb location in front of the Mekong, rooms are spacious and clean with AC and wifi. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurant is very good . Highly recommend them

We had a really relaxing and rejuvenating time at the River Resort in Champasak, Laos, where we stayed for a week. The setting is lovely, the staff is so kind, the Mekong River views are magnificent, the Thai/Lao and western food and drink is wonderful (I appreciate the veg food, though I wish there were more vegetarian/vegan choices), the bed is so comfortable, the indoor/outdoor shower so nice, the pool is refreshing, the locals are friendly, the rice fields are glorious, the cats are cute, the prices are inexpensive, the service is attentive and nice, the neighboring villages are interesting, the nearby UNESCO World Heritage Site ruins of Vat Phou are fascinating … Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves here!

Excellent stay. The room was perfect for 3. All the staff was very attentive. Food-wise, the spaghetti carbonara are EXCELLENT and the Champassak Collins is amazing. We really enjoyed our stay there as we felt cared for. The swimming pool is beautiful and you can walk around near the rocks.

Large clean rooms, clean pool looking at the river. Great food, drinks and service. Well managed and maintained.

The resort is on the banks of river Mekong and beautifully set under all aspects: The two-storey-builldings have anough space in between to have privacy, the garden is very pretty and well kept, with rice-fields on the area. The view across the river is beautifull and very peacefull at all times. The restaurant is excellent. The staff is very friendly and extreamly helpfull for all kinds of questions and problems. Sing from the reception had answered all my questions via email and turned out to be just as efficient in reality. He organized reliable drivers to pick us up at the airport and to do day-tours with us to Bolaven Plateau and to the area of Fourthousand Islands. Everything was correct and the whole stay was a real pleasure. Thank You very much for beautifull days.

Nice location. River view on the Mekong. All employees were delicious. 4 of 5 stars because in my opinion the price was to high for Laos standards and hotel standard.

Still going strong....been here around 10 years ago, but its gotten bigger in terms of capacity. The Pandamic has had its effect, but the place is still one the best in the vicinity of Pakse town and Champasak province.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch here today at this beautiful resort, we drove by on our way to the temple and wish we had booked to stay here instead of our other hotel as it was stunning, 2 great pools with a lovely view of the river and mountains, food was amazing, staff went above and beyond and made the whole experience perfect! We enjoyed it so much we definitely want to go back and stay over, it’s a hidden gem for sure!

Terrific! Staff super. Accommodation lovely, food very good and pools wonderful. Honestly one of the most relaxing places to stay but to also enjoy a taste of southern Laos. Boat ride, bike ride to local village and tuk tuk on tap for evening visit to village. Great early evening entertainment from a cicada that we have never heard the likes of before! Would have loved to have stayed longer (only 3 nights). It’s unspoilt here and sort of don’t want to recommend (selfishly!). Thank you to all staff. Lovely experience.

Nice place at the riverside of Mekong river. Just some km away from Champasak. You can get a free bike in the hotel to visit the near village. Good for a relaxing day after traveling along the country.

Nice rooms and common spaces, but low quality cuisine. The food is awfully expensive and not good. We were very disappointed regarding the general level of the resort.

The rooms are big and spacious with excellent views. The service staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a big resort so the rooms have lots of space between them. At night, there is not much to do or see. Very minimal lighting. Double pools are nice.
