It is a nice and small temple in Chamarajanagar. It is one of the best and oldest temple in the town. As the name of the temple says, it is situated near a pond. But many times pond do not contain water. In this temple we can touch the idol of Lord Ganesha and perform pooja ourselves. This is the speciality of this holy place.

The place holds historical importance. Go for some low key calm quiet Temple space within the town.

One of the oldest temple in town. I have grown up going to this temple everyday as a kid. The pond (Kola in Kannada) is where the temple gets its name from. Ganesha is worshipped in this temple and unlike other temples it has no priest here. People irrespective of their caste/religion go and perform pooja on their own. This temple has a arch which is newly built and the Lord Ganesha there is sculpted by my uncle.

This is a temple which is opened all the days. Special about this place is that, ppl can enter Garbagudi and perform Pooja by their own and offer flowers, prasada and etc.. I visited this place as and when visited Chamarajanagar place. During Ganesha festives it's busy place with crowded. Beside this there are other Gods temple as well.

Only temple in which the people are allowed to get inside the garbagudi of the lord Ganesha to get blessed and offer their wishes and get the a self happiness in the mind. Every month on the day of β€œSankasta Chaturthi" a special pooja is made where lot of people are assembled and after the pooja there will be a issue of prasadam offered by many sponsors to the devotees.
