This a place in need of a major infusion of funds. Otherwise, the owner is happy providing guests with a shabby everything for a low rate. The water is often brown. The pool is rented out to local swim coaches so kids and.peeing and noise and ear infection. The beakfast mediocre. The weight room is sad. On the hand, its Myanmar so the underpaid staff is friendly, helpful attentive. The morning wait staff are great. Housekeeping wonderful. SO, if you dont mind substandard toilets, old dingy carpets, peeling paint and hideously old furnishings, this discount, should be demolishef excuse for a hotel, next to the Hilton, is tolerable. Too bad, the mgmt/owner could care less about the barely 2 star rating it truly deserves

I spent two months here during the beginning of the pandemic. Loved my stay. The staff was so nice. Can't wait to return one day

It is one of the best hotel to have a meeting to share education and make farewell event with large room. There have car parking and easy to reach along the moat, beautiful one.

It is a two storey building and has large parking. It is located near moat and royal palace. You can see and feel good view from upper level.

Had to change rooms because it has got malfunctioned toilet and sink. The window was unlocked and opened slightly where the infamous mosquitoes got into room. The room service should have checked everything before. Then finally, the reception forgot to return IDs upon checking out!

One of the oldest hotel at MDY. Price range from 25,000 kyats. The rooms are big and old fashion. The 2hp air-con make you freeze. Swimming avaliable until 8 pm. I gave only one star becaus I feel scary by staying the cheepest room. 😂😂😂😂 not for room condition but for the avaliable rooms around me.

I have stayed here twice over the past nine month. The first time I was returning to Yangon from Chin State vis Mandalay Airport. My Chin friends insisted they find a very good hotel for me after roughing it a bit in Mindat Southern Chin State. They asked around from locals and took me to three different hotels neither of them they considered was good enough for their old Australian friend. When they arrived at the Mandalay Swan they went in had a look around spoke to the reception staff and came out to tell me they wouldn't find a better hotel if they kept looking. The four of us stayed two nights and grey were right. It is a wonderful hotel and the staff are great. So when I returned to Myanmar early this year we flew from Yangon to Mandalay on our way to Chin State and naturally stayed at the Swan Hotel again. Four of us are going back to Myanmar in late June two of my Ausssie friends have never been before so I am taking them to Southern Chin State vis Mandalay and will be staying at the Swan Hotel again

["Rooms are nice. They have a swimming pool. But I was so busy I didn't have a chance to swim there. Poor me :-( Breakfast is good, too. But sometimes, they can be salty. Staff are friendly and helpful, too. A lovely place to stay. Not too expensive. Overall, a nice, lovely hotel. ^^",null,[0,282]]
