Chinatown Night Market

Traditional market

👍 Don't let the name fool you. It opens in the morning, too! You'll find vegetables and groceries that are commonly used by Chinese people. Tons of noodles stalls, and snacks as well. It gets really busy so don't take your car or you'll have a hard time finding a parking spot. Get a taxi or use a scoo... People often mention market, foods, night, vegetables,

Always a great pleasure. I usually visit this place a few times a month. Mostly to buy vegetables and fruits. I am overwhelmed by the variety that is available. Superb place. A trifle more expensive than say, Manawhari Market, but the variety and the freshness make up adequately. I do want to sample the street food, but ... Maybe it is time to have a breakthrough in my life...

It is good for dinning with friends. The Shan foods, Chinese foods and other local snacks are available. The foods taste are really great and so, it is always busy with local guests and visiters especially in the evening. There are fresh vegetables and fruits are also available at that night market.

Interesting. I like to do marketing at night because the days are too hot in the hot season. But the lighting is inconsistent. Some nights the streets are brightly lit some nights are not. It's said that the vegetables sold cater to Chinese cooking. However I don't see much difference compared with the day markets.

Parking & Space accomodation is scanty. Crowded. Pricer than rest of the town. Chinese-Shan food especially noodles & greens are available here.

The chinatown Market is good, having different varieties of all types of fruits. A good market to try once beyond your local market area.

So many street food stalls alongside the 76th street of Mandalay between 33rd & 34th streets. As its name goes products are from China and we saw some vegetables and food we don't know. Fresh fruits and yoghurts are famous. Shan food are also available. But traffic is crowded and you need to park far away from market.

It is smaller than I thought. There is lots of veggies and fruit and some places doing noodles. They cook other things but with the limited English and language barrier I was only able to order noodles. Google had the wrong address, it is at the intersection of 34-76 st in Mandalay
