The Pride of Ludhiana. Need to Clean the surrounding areas and nearby location. There is nearby market called chaura bazar. The most crowded market of Ludhiana and best place for shopping.

The area is very popular in Ludhiana and hosted a variety of shops. There one can get good material products at cheaper rates. You can go there for various items like clothing, disposable materials, tyres, books and stationery, bags etc A real old heritage beauty, now being renovated by the Government and community, is a monument which should not be missed in Ludhiana. They are improving the approach and beautifying the area with community participation. You will love to watch it and enjoy shopping of quality hosiery products for which Ludhiana is famous nationally and internationally. Prices are tempting. You will love the local food also.

A relic from the past which has been left way behind the time. The clock on the tower is too high for one standing on the foundation of the building. But one flying on the flyover can be very close to the clock, which is happy to show the time. Past hasn't changed for some as it continues to unequal share it's time. सबसे खतरनाक वो घड़ी होती है आपकी कलाई पर चलती हुई भी जो आपकी नजर में रुकी होती है- pash...

It's an landmark of old Ludhiana. Situated near Ludhiana bus stand. Lots of cloth shops are around this Clock tower. You can find clothes at dirt cheap price (please don't expect much quality either). Quite congested place but easily connected. Any auto driver can take you there.

Once upon a time in Ludhiana, Punjab, there stood a magnificent structure known as the Ghanta Ghar, or the clock tower. This iconic landmark dominated the bustling city center, proudly showcasing its grandeur to all who passed by. The Ghanta Ghar had a rich history that was deeply ingrained in the hearts of the local people. It had witnessed the transformation of Ludhiana from a small town to a vibrant city, and it had stood tall amidst the changing times. The melodious chimes of its clock echoed through the streets, marking the passage of hours, days, and years. Legend had it that the construction of the Ghanta Ghar was a labor of love by the local craftsmen. Each intricately carved stone and detailed ornamentation told a story of their dedication and skill. Its architecture was a blend of Mughal and British influences, symbolizing the city's diverse heritage. The Ghanta Ghar served as a central meeting point for the people of Ludhiana. Whether it was for business or leisure, everyone knew that the clock tower was the place to be. Locals would gather under its shade, engaging in lively conversations and sharing anecdotes of their daily lives. Children would play games, their laughter blending with the sound of the clock's chimes. The area around Ghanta Ghar became a vibrant market, with shops and street vendors selling an array of goods. The aromatic spices from various regions of Punjab filled the air, tempting passersby with their enticing fragrances. The sound of haggling and the exchange of currency created a lively ambiance unique to this bustling center. Over the years, the Ghanta Ghar witnessed numerous historic events, both joyous and challenging. It saw the celebrations of India's Independence, as people gathered in its vicinity to rejoice and honor their newfound freedom. It also stood witness to the hardships faced by the city during times of turbulence, offering solace and a symbol of resilience to the people. Through it all, the Ghanta Ghar remained an ever-present reminder of Ludhiana's cultural identity and a beacon of unity. It acted as a guiding light, inspiring the people to preserve their heritage and work towards a brighter future. Today, the Ghanta Ghar continues to stand tall, its clock faithfully ticking away, mesmerizing all who pass by. The grandeur of Ludhiana's iconic clock tower serves as a reminder of the city's rich history and the indomitable spirit of its people.

One of the main identify of Ludhiana city. Last surviving landmark before independence. It's mechanical clock is still working accurate

  • 5/5 Kirti N. 2 years ago on Google
It's not a business site. It's actually a land mark who show you the time 24*7. It is a tower which is purposely made to show time even if you are at a distance from it. The rating given to it is after its renovation now it looks beautiful and show correct time. Even looks more amazing at night with lights on in its clock.
