Hotel was really nice, owner very helpful and nice, cleaning ladies also. Rooms neat, clean, wonderful view of the sea. I believe the only downside is the pool bar as it closes at 7pm daily and the food in it could be of better quality. This is why 4 stars, but still good place to stay there for holidays! Second time here at Phaedra hotel. And coming back for sure. Everything is amazing here. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Very clean and nice rooms. Perfect location on the beach. And super nice staff. Highly recommended.

We just enjoyed a very relaxing holiday at Phaedra hotel. From the minute we booked and received a very detailed email with all the information we needed to the minute we left, our host Nikos and his staff couldn't do enough for us. A family-run, self-catering hotel with a lot of returning customers (which speaks volumes), Phaedra provided us with a clean, welcoming, well-equipped place to stay for ten days. While only a 15-minute drive from Chania, the local amenities meant that we needn't hire a car and there is a frequent bus service to town for an evening walk. The pool (with a wide selection of inflatables) and a lovely, sandy beach with shallow water makes the hotel an ideal choice for families. There is even a pool bar, open for most of the day, selling drinks, ice cream, snacks and light meals, made by the lovely Georgia. If I had to pick one thing I would have liked to have in the room, it would be a countertop oven so that I could have a few more options for cooking. All in all, I would very happily return to the hotel in the future and unreservedly recommend it.

This is the second time my family and I are staying at Phaedra, and it is honestly such a delightful and relaxing place to spend your holiday. We were warmly welcomed as old acquaintances by Nikos and Georgia, who are always very kind and friendly to all the guests in the hotel, and make sure their stay is memorable. The rooms are always very clean and the bathrooms are stocked with toiletries of a luxurious Greek brand. There is very fast Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, which also reaches the beach and the pool area. Additionally, the hotel provides guests with beach towels, as well as beach umbrellas if you decide to explore other beaches on the island, which is very convenient. The pool was also clean and I quite liked that they do not use chemicals, such as chlorine, for its maintenance. The poolside bar offers a wide range of drinks, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic, and snacks which are always very delicious. Family owned hotel that works hard to accommodate any need. Beautiful beachfront scenery. Salt water pool. Hotel very clean. All staff members are kind and welcoming.

If you want 5 star service, you are on right place. Nikos is person on right place. He tells and recommend everything. If you want to hire a car, ask him. Really good experience, not a big hotel, own sundbeds and beach just 20 metres from our room. Stay and enjoy it. It worht it.

A PIECE OF HEAVEN! Absolutely marvelous! We were looking for a hotel in Stalos but all seemed to be fully booked so i just googled the area and found Hotel Phaedra, sent a message asking for help, and guess what? Mr Nikos answered almost immediately and found a solution for us (the high season was just beginning so it was still possible with some work). We got an amazing room with see view for the first two nights and the rest of the week in other great room. And this was before we arrived to Crete! The Hotel looks wonderful in pictures but i must tell everybody that is even better in person, i was almost crying when i saw that place! So beautiful, elegant, clean and peaceful. You can literally walk some steps from any room and step down in a perfect pool, that by the way, it's cleaned with a naturally method using salt, so no worries about chemicals there. The beach are right there too so you can easily enjoy it too and off course free sun beds and you can always find one for you. And from almost everywhere at the hotel you can enjoy one of the most amazing sunset I experienced throughout my life. I became speechless in front of it. All the stuff are so professional and make you feel so welcome. The owners have created a place for a perfect vacations without any doubt, a diamond in Crete! We told them that we could feel all the love they built the hotel with and in our hearts this is a 5 stars hotel. We have been on others hotels before but this is one of a kind. This is really special place and we're looking forward to come back again, but the next year we'll be booking on good time for our vacations :) .. Crete it's just a magical place, so beautiful and it's people have an expansive, proud, virile character and a child's heart full of love and kindness for each and every welcome stranger. We chose this hotel for our first family vacation with our little son and we could not have chosen better. From the first contacts, I had great service from Nicos who guided me to the best room for our needs and gave me so much valuable information. The hotel has a wonderful location, with many amenities for a family. Several details are thought out to make you feel more comfortable, besides of course the beautiful view, excellent location, great service inside and outside the rooms. Finally, I can only hope to come back another time. Thank you to Nicos and staff for taking such good care of us.

Phaedra Hotel is the only place we will stay if we visit Crete again. Amazing private beach, beautiful pool, great service. Nik is an amazing manager/owner and will do anything to make you feel at home. Phaedra feels like a bed and breakfast due to the size and the hospitality you receive.

If you want peace and personal treatment, Hotel Phaedra is your place. We spent a week here and it was great - the rooms are functionally furnished, the view of the pool and the sea is perfect. The service and the cleanliness are at a high level. Free sunbeds for hotel guests, beach towels, and for the children there is a whole chest of beach toys for free use. The pool bar offers refreshing drinks, cocktails and delicious food at good prices. Georgia who serves the bar is a great lady! Mr. Nikos is always available and he and the whole team do a perfect job. We will be back for sure!

I can really recommend this beautiful hotel to everyone. It has a nice pool and great sea views, the hotel is very very clean and the owner Nikos and the staff, especially barlady Georgia, make you really feel at home. Georgia makes nice drinks. You can have a great cup of coffee here and also the cocktails are eally nice ! ( ask for the special Georgia cocktail) . If you like meeting other guests, the poolbar is a great place. Of course you dont have to, but i like meeting people from all around the world and i had a really good time ! Our plane was leaving later in the afternoon, but we had to check out at 11. But thats no problem at all. You can leave your bags in the office, and even use the shower before you leave. Thats a great service which gives you a relaxing last vacation day before you leave For me my 8 days stay in this hotel was perfect. I really enjoyed it. I can recommend it to everyone !

Highly recommended place to stay which is steps away from of one of the best sandy beaches in Chania! Everything was perfect, the rooms very clean, the service excemptional in a quiet location close to all amenities.. Special thanks to the very polite owner Nikos!!🙏
